Etsy Listing Changes for Print on Demand Sellers

- The old Etsy listing form is being sunset on June 25, 2024 and all listings will use the new listing form. I review the new listing form and point out a couple of important items for print on demand sellers.

Another great video! I've been using the new format for the last week and didn't realize that part about updating to our printing provider name! So thank you for that! Going back now and updating those listings ASAP!! ☺️

One thing you didn't mention (that I had trouble finding) was where to go to link photos with the color option. Under Variations, select Manage Variations, then next to Colors, click the little pencil/edit icon, THEN toggle Link Photos To This Variation. Then you can select your photos to link. Why so many steps?? Annoying "improvement" but that's how you do it.
Hi! I've recently been having trouble linking images to color variants, and it seems like it might be an Etsy glitch. Have you experienced this issue recently?
@@ElizabethMV_ I had an issue where I would update my color variation photos, and then the listing wouldn't save the changes. I tried emailing Etsy but didn't get a helpful response. It went on for about a week then spontaneously resolved. Haven't had an issue recently.

Very informative! I am fairly new and have only used the newer platform but this was still good info as I DID NOT REALIZE that the Print Provider did not auto fill and that we need to go in and Edit the Physical Item section. One question, I noticed your Printify says San Francisco, Ca however when I go in to look them up, I show Wilmington, DE. I also use Printify, I'm in California, just wondering where you saw SF? Want to make sure I use the correct city/state. Thanks!
Well, thank goodness I watched. I'd just started using the new form, and didn't notice (in all the newness) that I wasn't selecting made with production assistance and a production partner!
Great video. What about how to link photos? I always link photos with variations but I don't see it in the new version. The old version you can link variations of photo by colors or size.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Etsy is changing the new listing format, as so many people obviously dislike it, still preferring to use the old one. The new one is horrible.
I do hope they make some changes to it!
another good video - question for you or your followers - just starting and have dozens of designs with 4 color/design options each - and since variations are a super pain on etsy - is it easier/best to create the listings on etsy and import to pod company since I still can't figure out how to create variations on the printify or printful - ty
Great video! Thanks! Question: Is it right to claim that Printify, or whoever created the product? If I designed the product, but Printify is merely printing and shipping, I should say that "I made it", and then choose Printify as my production partner. Is that incorrect? Will this get me into trouble with Etsy?
I feel saying that someone else made it entirely is misleading and seems as if I am a reseller, which I am not. Let me know. Thanks!
I started my Etsy store in January this year. Would it be possible that I was never introduced to the older editor? This is the view that I’ve been using this whole time…
question, you add printify on etsy as producation partner, why not real print provider ? everywhere else i see people add print providers no printify confuse ;p
Main image/thumbnail: after you make the adjustments, you need to scroll down a bit and click the Apply button on the bottom right.
How do you publish as a draft instead of live to etsy
From within Printify, after you have created your listing there, before you hit publish go to 'Publishing settings' you will find this by scrolling down it's on the left hand side of your page and check 'Hide in Store' This will send your listing to drafts in your Etsy account
