So the audio cut out in the last few seconds of the video but thankfully it was not any part of the tutorial. I was just saying thank you to all viewers and subscribers at that part. Thanks to everyone, I appreciate your support!!!
Thanks for this! You could save even more time by copying and pasting your original variation info into a Word or Excel document and then it would mostly be lined up again when you need to update it after your change. You can normally grab entire tables at one go from the web.
Do you feel the time it takes to transfer sku#'s over, is better than just creating an additional listing for the variation for .20 cents? I am looking at this from a time perspective. Or should I be more focused on a customer convenience perspective instead?
You know what! Eres el primero al que entiendo, después de unos dias de intentar por fin publiqué mis diseños personalizados de cases de teléfonos. Te agradezco mucho! Es un trabajo enorme copiar todo los SKU y tener mucho cuidado. Mil gracias!
Thank you so much for this super helpful video! I finally understand what I need to do 😅! I’ve watched a few of your other helpful videos already, but today I’ve become a new subscriber! I love the way you explain in a clear manner…thank you!
Great video!. Thank you. I have a quick question. I published a product from Printify to Sety just as you did with the phone case, but it keeps saying on Esty "Sorry, this item is unavailable.". Is there something I am not doing right?
Thanks so much! You have the best videos for print on demand on RUclips and trust me I've watched countless hours from others that don't compare. Can you please do a video on candles? I put 5 different scent names that were available on the 9 oz soy candle on Printify. I just kept adding each design label indicating different scent to the printify editor page but even though I select the different scents in the mock-ups I only see the last scent that I added for some reason and it would be nice for customers to see all of them. A video would be super helpful to show how to list these 5 of same brand on Etsy. I only have the free version of canva so I couldn't choose transparent background but the Printify labels are white anyway so hopefully that part will be okay. If you don't want to do a video could you just please tell me how to do it if you don't mind?
I understand the process for doing one product with multiple sizes. What about one product with no variants? For example, I'd like to offer a white 15oz mug with four different designs. The option to select Variants isn't there. One variant: white 15oz. Is there a way to add multiple designs to one product with one variant? Thanks in advance. I'm learning a lot from your videos!
Hi Jeff, your videos are helpful as always, my question is are we allowed to use graphics or patterns in Printify as stand alone elements (like you did for the Avocado pattern)? I know in Canva you have to use two or more elements to sell your products.
Hi! The free graphics provided by Printify can be used on their own or as part of a design with multiple elements, according to the information I found in some of their help articles. Of course you can't download them and sell them as digital files, but as long as you're using them on a printify product they can be used as-is.

Hi..Thank you for your uselful videos..Do you know where I can find white mugs black or white with orange rim and handle? I don't see them in Printify. If any of the subscribers know I would appreciate information about it. Thank you
So, when a customer orders one of the design variations do you have to manually change the design in printify? Printify only offers two variations, so I’m confused as to the process from their end since it will only show two variations on their end (sorry I only have 3 listings up right now, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can 😅)
Hi Jeff love these video's thank you. I have a question say you create these drafts variations for one listing, can you use the same SKU's for other new listings if i want to add same product variations. For eg. lets say for 1 mug design I have 3 mug variations. Then for the 2nd mug design can I use the same SKUs from the variations created for the last design, for this one ?
Great vid as always, I noticed some sellers are offering multiple options such as a mug with an initial on it, the buyer can choose from the alphabet which letter they want, is this the same concept as this video as you suggest max 3 variations. I have my designs ready but dont know how to set it up. Thanks
Is there a separate sku for color and design? Which sku do you put in to let POD know which color and design to print? Or do you have to go in manually and choose design for each order?
CAN THIS BE DONE ON GELATO? Unfortunately i can't find a way to make this work with Gelato, they don't seem to provide SKUs in templates/drafts. Therefore no way to guarantee when a customer selects a different design variation their order is actually directed to the right template/draft to print the correct design. Am i missing something? Any advice ? Thanks
Hi! If you create 2 pattern of phone cases and you publish only one on Etsy and save the second on Printify. How will Printify create the order for the phone case with the pattern saved as draft if the order is placed on Etsy? The SKU we add are for a phone case that is saved as draft so it’s not published on our Etsy.
HI, I have been watching your videos many times. Can you make a video of personalized t-shirt with combination list, plz. Also, how to add shipping cost and pricing step by step. Thanks! You have no idea how are you helping people like me who are trying to make a change in their life. Thanks so much!
I don't know if this is because of their update, but I don't see an add variation option in Etsy. Is this something they've taken away? I'm trying to offer two different color options of font on same colors of sweatshirts.
I am currently building a variation listings for multiple apparel products for one design/listing. I ran into an issue when I was going over 400 total variations. I was looking at another shop listing for the same type and noticed that they have 48 product type/sizes in the first drop down menu and then for the color drop down menu they have 15 different colors. When I multiply 48 x 15, its 720 variations... how were they able to do this? I thought that maybe since some colors might be toggled off for certain product types, it would lower the numbers but it doesn't so I'm really perplexed about this. Any idea what might be happening here?
If I want to have Etsy listing with “digital” and “physical” options (customized poster). How can I do it? Where can I get the tracking number to compete the order if the client chooses the digital option?
So I was told by Printify not to edit listings, especially the stock and price, on Etsy because it can ruin the sync. So I am scared to add pics and skus because then the stock number will also be adjusted. Can you confirm this wont affect me? To clarify, im designing a tea towel so it is entirely different.
thank you, please i'm new on etsy, can i add 5 variations ? i mean is there any limit of products variation, cuz i want to create 5 phone case designs in one listing? is it possible ?
I have been going in circles trying to master this and keep shooting myself in the foot. How do you edit the variations when all the colors aren't available for each option. I'm doing unisex, youth, and sweatshirt. Color natural is not available in youth sizes, but is in other variations.
so youre telling me after all of the success, six figure sales and such, that etsy and printify have never streamlined this process of variations and copy and pasting skus?????
Thank you, Jeff! Wondering if I can make an Etsy listing to bundle some items already in my shop - and then just copy and paste the SKU's from the individual listings? Alternatively, if I not include SKUs, will an order then be listed in "Other Orders" in Printify for me to do a manual order (like with personalized items)? Just don't want to be redundant and create new listings if I am just trying to bundle already existing items.
Hi! Yes, you absolutely can do that. If you'd like to create a combination listing for some of your existing listings, you can add variations and copy SKUs if you want orders to sync to Printify automatically. If you don't copy the SKUs, you are correct any orders would go to your "other orders" page so you can manually import them.
Excellent video. I see a lot of Etsy Sellers put the Design variation under Customization so the buyer has to type what they want. My question is if you do it this way, you won't have a SKU number. Is a SKU required in Etsy to publish?
Thanks! A SKU is not required by Etsy, however when you collect the design information through the personalization field and don't have a SKU assigned to each variation, your orders will not automate. You'll have to manually import & edit each order before submitting it to production. Matching up the SKU numbers is what allows your orders to automate.
How do I add a toddler shirt and a mom shirt with different designs AND a couple of color options, I can't seem to find ANYONE that is showing how to do this! I have seen several videos that show how to do it with ONE color shirt, but I know it can be done with multi-colored shirts I just can't seem to figure out how to do it correctly. Please help.
Why cant we use the personalization option as a variation? I had a tshirt with 6 different designs and i made a separate photo page showing them with their A B C… or 1 2 3.. choice then asked the customer to tell me on personalization which design they wanted. I made sure personalization was NOT optional meaning they couldn’t checkout until they filled this out. That left me with two “full” variation spots for size tshirt and color/price. I did not make anything on printify. I’ll make it when something sells. Saves me lots of time in case it never takes off.
I've been watching a lot of these videos now, and I guess I still get a bit confused about one big concept. What product you have to create first in Printify which then is used by Etsy... or something like that. The Printify SKU# is used by Etsy to identify the exact product type. So you essentially have to create it in Printify first with a particular design? Does each design have to have a separate Printify product? I don't even know what I am asking actually. The relationship between Printify and Etsy is a little confusing how it relates to products, variations, and the listings.
Hi, thank you for your valuable tutorials. I'm in the process of designing a couple's Valentine t-shirts on Canva with two slightly different words on two different shirts but they go together as a matching shirt. I already purchased a couples mockup, but I'm so confused about how to create this in one listing. I don't want two different listings for two shirts for a couple to purchase. Can you do a step-by-step tutorial on how to design on Printify and advertise on ETSY?
Hi! This video actually is about exactly what you described - adding variations to a listing in order to offer different designs on the same product. You create separate drafts in your Printify account, one with each design on it (Printify needs them to be separate). You publish one of them to Etsy, and then edit that listing to add variations for the other designs, and the customer will be able to choose from all designs within one listing. If you copy over the SKU numbers from Printify, your orders will still sync to Printify and automate. That's the process that I showed in the video - at 07:12 I show what it looks like to add design options for apparel products.
HI thank you for the quick response, I appreciate your clarification. I finally figured that part out. However I am in the process of designing 12 zodiac signs on multiple coloured t-shirts with black or white font options, and I am trying to figure out the variations and how to apply this on Printify@@PODinsights
@@PODinsights Hi..Thank you for explaining this thoroughly. Now, all the colors which are available for the adult sweatshirt are not available for the youth sweatshirt. Go into the listing editor and scroll down to the variations. Find the youth variants that are not available, and either delete or toggle them off and they will not show in the listing.
