ELO really is a good go-to group for exacerbating certain feelings with their music. This is good for feeling hopeful, Blue Sky is good for when you already feel good and Don’t Bring Me Down is excellent for when you’re feeling like you want to get somewhere with a purpose OR when you don’t want to be messed with. What a genius Jeff Lynne. I love this song, too. If you look him upon Wikipedia, he has like 4 pages of things he has done. Not to mention he is so humble and easy going. He has had the same pianist for over 40 yrs, so that has to say something about him. I want to MARRY HIM!! LOL
I love Jeff Lynne, always have! My middle name is Lynn, and I used to say if I was married to him, my name would be Carrie Lynn Lynne. I still refer to him as...my husband Jeff Lynne! LOLOL
I remember in the late 80s my dad got me and my brothers in his big old MK2 Granada and drove us from Dagenham to Tilbury to see his brother, our uncle George. We went in, he had a beautiful Boxer dog and had just recently bought a lovely powerful separates system. He played ELO songs. I fell in love with ELO at that time. I was around 8 years old. I'm 30yrs old. And I love this kinda music. I have to thank my Dad showing me this kind of music when I was growing up. The 70s and 80s.
21 years old here, and ELO's music is my favorite thing to listen to. I just hope I can go to a concert with Jeff Lynne one day; that would be the dream.
@@clarkchapman2289 same bro. Just born in the wrong era
The only album I bought that my mother actually liked.
😁👍know it!
"The only album I bought that my mother actually liked."
You had a mother?
thats sad
I would have thrown it out if that had happened to me.
My Mom would've been 85 had she not passed in April 30-2016..but she would rock out to ELO in the 70s right along with her 6 kids!! She/we all loved ELO!! Miss you Mom!
Bless you. Your mom had wonderful taste x
Amen.Thank you,Jesus.
I had the 8 track on this album, I'm 58 years old folks. Great album!

OMG , you made me laugh with 8-track ! I am 62 and I had quite a collection too ! Remember how the song would stop, the track would change and it would start again ? I guess we were so happy to have portable music for our cars, we didnt care !
52 years old and am rocking with elo while kicked back in my recliner and I mean dancing this takes me to a happy place good vibes
Damn, I'm doing just that right now.
And having a few shots of vodka.
I’m 36, born ‘84, not a band from my era at all, but certainly one I found on my musical journey that speaks to me.
this is arguably the best elo song
They have so many great ones so it's hard to pick!
Jack Brown
*coughs***mr.blue** sky *coughs* Strange Magic *cough*
The best!!
Jack Brown coughs*Don't bring me down
Right on Jack!
Used to blast this when I was truckin' 20 years ago...
Keep on Truckin', Matthew.
roll on big trucker toot toot
I wanted to be a trucker but they said I wasn't racist enough.
+TheEgg185 lmao
keep on rolling bubba
Been listening to ELO since highschool still enjoying at 63 my daughter is 33 and she loves listening also
Not ashamed that at 40 years old, ELO is the greatest band... ever. ❤️
ELO are undoubtedly great, but #U2 has 22 Grammies...
@@aclark903 Pfft. Bono can't hold a candle to Jeff Lynne.
Amen😊
@@aclark903 How many members of U2 were in a band with Roy Orbison and George Harrison?
@@RoboticsNShenanigans Hey, don't blame me! It's not my fault the Grammys prefer Dubliners to #Brummies! I used to live in #Brum myself! I have bought far more ELO albums than U2 albums, but I think we have to recognize that tho both Jeff & Bono are great songwriters, Bono is the greater humanitarian. Were ELO even invited to do #LiveAid?
Pulling out ELO is like seeing an old friend after way too long. Still know every little nuance. And ❤️ so much
I am 76,never get tired of this music
Too busy singing and dancing to comment 😁
Hard to sit still when it's playing, right?! I love your comment!!
These songs just never seem to age - as good today as they were when they were first released. A sure sign of greatness !
ELO, AND Boston!
Jeff Lynn is a genius.
Yes, that's been my long held opinion ever since I heard ElO...
i cant thank my mum and dad enough for jumping on each other and making me some time in 1957 so i could be born in 1958 and grow thru my infant years and into my teens in the 1970s so i would be around to get a fix from this music.........aint it just great...thanks mum and dad both rip...love ya xxxx
vincent hewlett born at the right time.
That was funny you made me giggle this morning
nice one vincento !
I wish I was born in 1959 instead of 1969. It must had been an exciting decade to be a teenager.
I’m born in 1961
Me and my brother were driving around in a golf cart at 4am very drunk, blasting this out loud on a bluetooth speaker.
Sounds great
Good lad :)
I wanna join you guys
My kind of party family 🤣☺️☺️
I won't condone that behaviour, but it sounds fun af!
61 and ELO and Bob Seager & The Silver Bullet Band. were my favorites back in the mid to late 70's....and still.
I am 55 and I loved the late 1960's and the 1970's! I miss those days gone by.💛💚💜💟
yes, those were the days
Another great song! “Days Gone By” by the superlatively talented Gerry Rafferty...

I'm just so happy that I grew up in the days of
ELO. Probably the best music ever made and I was around to experience it!
I am 65 still love them since i was a teenager
Just like a lot here I too have enjoyed listening to them ,yet here in 2024 they have started their final tour. They will be missed that's for sure ❤😢
elo was a 'hit making machine'..love them!
HOT TAKE!
agree Andrew! one of my favourite groups
I agree, and now they're a 'hit-the-RUclips-"like"-button-making-machine'!
And somehow never had a #1 hit. Total BS.
Jenn Cooke - Xanadu got to #1
What a genius Jeff Lynne. I love this song, too. If you look him upon Wikipedia, he has like 4 pages of things he has done. Not to mention he is so humble and easy going. He has had the same pianist for over 40 yrs, so that has to say something about him. I want to MARRY HIM!! LOL
+Karen McConaghy genuinely lovely guy.met him several times and he has time for everyone.a proper English gent.
I had a huge crush on him when I was a teenager (early 80's). This is still my favorite of ELO's songs.
So do I. And I'm not gay.
I love Jeff Lynne, always have! My middle name is Lynn, and I used to say if I was married to him, my name would be Carrie Lynn Lynne. I still refer to him as...my husband Jeff Lynne! LOLOL
WUP TEE HOO
I remember in the late 80s my dad got me and my brothers in his big old MK2 Granada and drove us from Dagenham to Tilbury to see his brother, our uncle George. We went in, he had a beautiful Boxer dog and had just recently bought a lovely powerful separates system. He played ELO songs. I fell in love with ELO at that time. I was around 8 years old. Little moments in our lives really shape us more than we realise
sheer beatlesy genius.
É isso aí amigo❤
ELO, I'm still listening. So many memories.
Sad Richard Tandy has died. Love his ELO vocoder tracks.
This song reminds me of my childhood. My dad would put turn the car radio to classic rock stations. 🥰❤
Muito bom...
When I was growing up..they were considered light rock 🪨 🎸
I forgot how epic this song is
Epic is right!
Epic song
One does not simply forget how good an ELO song is, it simply drifted to the back of your mind in storage haha
Its okay, we all make mistakes
Only 13 but for some reason I miss this kind of music
Well good sir keep your good taste in music and to hell with the haters
I'm with you
@@ansongettel1881 there are haters?
I’m 20 and I hate the popular music these days. Most of it is absolutely disgusting and the lyrics mean nothing.
@@cottoncandyjellybean8539 not all of it, that’s just the crappy pop music produced for money as part of the industry by people like Cardi B. I know everyone has their own opinions and tastes, but there are actually a lot of great songs from the 2000’s, it’s just not the ones you hear on the radio everyday.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this song
Am wishing that at 69 I could see Jeff and co in concert, wow, such a dream ❤️🎸🎸
I've loved ELO with all my heart since I was like 6-7 (1996). I'm 30 still grooving on them. Dad made me appreciate them, he would always put them on in the car. that's how i got to know the best music ever. ELO, Dire Straits, KISS, The Travelling Wilburys..... I don't think I should mention bands like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin.... Anyway..... All of a sudden, he passed away in March 2019 (stroke) while driving, well basically he was waiting for mum from the shops... at 54! imagine how she felt at the time when she saw him and thought he was kidding.. playing her for a fool.. he would do that sometimes :) ahhh... how much i miss him ... so does my mum... I'm not gonna stop listening to ELO. their music is not bringing me bad thoughts about how my life would've been different with my dad being alive. I usually blast ELO songs in the car. :)))) I AM HERE WITH YOU. LOVE YOU ALL. GREETINGS FROM RUSSIA
Bless you Stan. Your dad had excellent taste in music as do you 😊
The most underrated band in the history of Rock and Roll!!!
Alan Parsons Project is the most underrated band actually
Oh-my-godable, why has this song been of my radar. Just discovered it yesterday.
It’s sooo good
Who else gets chills @01:59 ???
When the "AHHHHHHHHH..." comes in.
The hairs on my neck start wiggling like they are ready to jump out of my skin.
Great post Joshua. My goosebumps heartily agree!
lol that's funny, I've been listening to this song since it was new, and never noticed that part--very 'angelic!' Thanks for pointing that out : )
ELO has the best background vocals I've ever heard.
I just discovered ELO! I’m normally into this type of music but I’ve never heard of this group before. I am IN LOVE with their sound and vibe! 😍
Where ya been?
ELO is amazing
they need to make up their mind is this woman sweet talkin' or Evil
Michael King Depends on the time of the month (it's just a joke)
Michael King dirty woman😎😎
woops they're actually two different songs, way to make it confusing though
Michael King whoops I think that flew over ur head
Michael King right. Lol
Love ELO ! 2-6-24 ! So does my grandson Anthony😂😅😊
Not one bad song! They're all great! No song is just a "filler" track. ❤
The most fantastic…so many great memories 💖
