- We brought in our day-old broiler chicks at the farm a few weeks back. Through intensive care, proper brooding and poultry management we have been able to rear them until maturity.
Today is Day 30, which marks the last day for most of our birds. In this vlog, I will share some of Afrifama's activities and how we process our chicken before delivering them to the Market.
What a Farming journey we had. It's just unbelievable, right? Let's tune in as I share more insights.

Hey there, imagine it's not that hard. You usually tie the knot at the bottom, then pass it through the hole in the middle of the base, tie another knot insight the white cone and eventually pass the rope again at the centre of the white tubes and you can use other ropes or wires as suspension.
Hi farmer, at wat age r u switching to grower @14days 0r 21+
Hello Phangisa, at Afrifama I usually start from day 18 but gradually and by day 22 we switch to fully to finisher pellets.
Day 18 : 3/4 starter + 1/4 finisher
Day 19 : 1/2 starter + 1/2 finisher
Day 20 : 1/4 starter + 3/4 finisher
Day 22 : full finisher
Also note, I use this since I keep my bird to day 28 to Day 35 Max.
Hopefully this helps.
