- Last week, I asked the famous chicken and egg question .. which came first, I didn't get a scientific answer or any answer for that matter, but I concluded that a hen is only an egg's way of making another egg..On that note, we went out and met Steve, an agripreneur whom after a few failed attempts in chicken farming, got to master his trade and has specialised in rearing chicken for eggs(layers). His favorite subject to study is; "Egg-onomics".

My good friend you're a true inspiration to all Africans. Keep it up bro! Thanks for giving a listening ear to all those who are out there searching for knowledge in starting a poultry farm. God bless!
How do you know that a bird is inferior
If feed is 90% of input and its expensive, why dont you augment your feed by feeding Black Soldier Fly larvae? You can also grow hydroponic grain fodder. You'll get 7 day cycles of healthy fodder. and two week cycles of Black Soldier Fly larvae. Plenty of feed at very low cost.
👏
They also have side effects when fed so many times
@nalubowarehema1101 what kind of side effects Sir?
Bacterial infection
This is very inspiring, a clear, concise brief lesson on how to run this business 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi man, I have a capital to start layer farming. Thanks for the video I learnt so much
Who made you the cage
I also wanted to add that you have lots of checken manure, which is one of the inputs for Black Soldier Fly larvae production. They eat it and grow fat...and you have an abundant supply.
What do you do to produce black soldier fly
This is a nice idea, but ideally, the commercial feeds are enough ration for your commercial layers. You can produce the larvae for other backyard chicken or sell, but dont feed your birds, you might end up over conditioning them because they actually need a specific Crude Protein content & surpassing or feeding less has negative effects on production.
Then?
HOLA
Se ve buen trabajo que haces, se ven sanas tus gallinas y tus galpones estan limpios y eso dice mucho en avicultura.
Saludos desde LA GRAN AMAZONIA PERUANA.
Thank you Kamsa very encouraging narrative! I will emulate you!
Your channel have great content I love it, kindly share with us some one who is in beans value additional I want to know the process it goes through to the stage of pre cooking stage please. Love from UGANDA 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Pongezi Steve, my son n I are poultry farmers. We are encouraged by u coz there somewhere we need to improve on the area of marking the non layers
amazing farm sir👍the chickens look healthy,,, nice to meet you🤝
Excellent, motivational presentation. God bless you Kamwamu.
The funds used to aquire food and water used to feed these animals can be instead for people. You can focus on Agriculture; indoor farming which is one this country's greatest strengths to produce enough food for everybody. It can save large amounts of water which is becoming more and more scarce
OMG. This is so inspiri g and he is very transparent.
God bless you. You give nice lecture from your bottom of heart.
Hey man, you are a business genius.... Learnt lot from this .... Wishing success and good luck 🤞
Good Job Steve. You have hacked the critical management practices and steps and for sure they are at your finger tips. Lots of learning there. I will reach out for more mentorships. Just a question. Why can't someone prepare their own feeds by just buying the raw materials? What are demerits of this approach?
Am proud of this project
Why are you "proud" of putting birds in prisons?
You did a good job my brother may good God bless you
Incredible entrepreneurship journey. Thanks for sharing, and I will reach out. Thanks Reach out to Kamsa.

Hats off Steve you understand your craft from simple beginnings ✋
The problems of Africa transcends from Angola to Zimbabwe. Am in Ghana 🇬🇭 and the problems he outlined are exactly the challenges poultry farmers here are facing
Are you a poultry farmer?
Wow…I’m so impressed.
Where are you located
how many cages does one need for 1000 layers
hey steve great work .......am in kisii n need your training services

Fine and good;
Amazing video 🤩💯😍👍💯
Congratulations on your business, wishing you more success. Please how do you differentiate between quality day old chicks and the inferior ones? Lastly how do you administer your monthly vaccination, how do you prepare for the day of vaccination? And what do you do after they have been vaccinated? Thanks in anticipation of your response.
Hello bro, I'm Boli from Cameroon. Please can you tell me which chicks comes out after the eggs have passed through the 21days in the hatchery machine. What chicks do we optain, the Broilers or the Layers ? and if only the layers, how do we get the eggs for Boilers and hatch and make them grow. Thank you.
Hello,I'm big fun of you, kindly I would like to know from your experience, how should one kept layers from one day old to time of disposal?
I love this
Where do you purchase your cages
I like your justification though it's a bit vague. Needles to say, as long as you treat an animal or bird well by giving it the best life it can live, then your justification is reasonable.
Yes, if you treat the bird well, that is great. He obviously isn't, as he puts them in tiny prisons.
I also started with two chickens all over sudden I eat all of them..
how is that cage build, please do a video on that....
Am tatu from kwale actually I want to start that but I don't know haw to start and how I can get the market
A lion hunting a gazelle is natural not being locked in a cage that's overcrowded
I agree 100%. If I was a chicken I wouldn't want him to be my owner especially with the debeaking. Some people don't put themselves in the situation they put others in. I know they're animals but damn
Congratulations but i need more information please young farmer, where i u allocated?
Goodwork
How can I start this business. I'm from Malawi
Hello Steve, when you want to get the birds where do you source for them and what age, then they start laying at what age. Am now in kienyeji but I want to venture into layers thanks.

Please tell me about the haching
What country? What country is this farm located?
Kenya
Pls where can I get this iron Gage
الله يرزقك
How much investment was that
Hello, is it fine to give the birds hydroponics fodder as feed?
No.
The commercial feeds have a specific Crude Protein content that the birds need at their specific feeding stage. That is enough for them. No more, no less.
Kamsa poultry what can ldo to join this company
Good job,pls help me the budget or 200chicks ads beginner am in Kenya
What is diarrhea cost please my brother
I believe that chickens should have more space to move around. The farm is impressive but I don't like this kind of design.
Please I need eggs
Let them out. Let them see the sun. I respect the hussle, but!
👍🤗🤝🙏
Great work, but the way they kept looked inhumane. Should have some freedoms to move.
Don’t use fish meal - it’s very bad for the chickens.
Evil spirits appear when the birds are being fed on fish!!
And manifests in the owners of the business…….
Goin peace.
What the heck 😅🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Stop using CAGES !!!
He didn't ask for your opinion
I am only about 4 minutes into this video, first time seeing a video from this channel, and I love it. I can't believe the amount of information/insight that has been shared already.
What do you "love" about confining birds in prison?
I want to know the sound produced by Kukus when they incite others into picketing against the owner...
He he!
That one is kuuuururukuu
You want to be communicating with them when you come home late by asking them if people of the house are in😂😂
Riaaaaaaa
i am at bomet, i am so much interested in poultry, i have even moved a head to keeping 200 layera but the current number is 120 birds. how can i be assisted to keep 500 birds.
Why can't the key stakeholders take up the issue with the pertinent authorities, beginning with parliamant, to enact regulation to mitigate on market issues? Mainly being curtailing on illegal imports. This is the most sure way of ensuring growth of the local poultry industry.
It's a challenge. The East Africa Community, COMESA, AGOA trade treaties plus just blatant disregard to the producers.
HAS THE LORD BEEN GOOD!!! yes HE HAS !!!HAS HE LOVED us DEFENDED us ?HE HAS DONE so much we cannot count !!! wow lovely !!!

Love love your videos. I keep sharing them with youth groups. Keep it up
Impressing dear, worth emulating! Keep it up
Although I understand your feeding people the tiny cages are so small that's very sad for chickens , they are crammed in together how sad.
Where do you get your feeds - who is your reputable supplier?
I loved your theory for concerns over animal freedom...we need food guys, please chill...
What's the cost of putting up these cages
This channel is epic..I have recommended it to several people and everyone loves it
We are working to bring very quality inputs to the market ISO standards, including feeds. You will hear of us soon.
