    How often do you change your bedding? Loving your work so much

      Hello Thia, Thank you for your kind feedback. I really appreciate it.
      Regarding the bedding, I usually change them twice during any given
      production cycle. mostly due to the fact, that it's not costly and I wouldn't
      wish to risk my flock. The goal is usually to ensure the bedding is dry all the time.

    How many Capacity is your structure And How many birds did you start with

      You didn't answer this question sir

      Hello, I have one structure at moment with a maximum capacity of 1,000 birds. Mostly I do production of either 400 or 550 at any given batch though.
      At the beginning, which was Aug 2022 I started with a batch of 150 birds, as I needed to learn and experiment what works best then later I increased the flock.
      At the moment I can do any capacity but due to working capital that's why I limit my number to that capacity. Have you started yet?

    Sir please from the day 1 to this level day 18 did you lost any of the birds

    • @Afrifama
      @Afrifama  Год назад

      Hello 😊 thankyou for reaching out, surprisingly the mortality was quite low. We only 2 birds during Day 1 and day 14.
      For Day one, was after collecting the chicks from the hatchery. I believe it was due the distance and worn out and for day 14 was due to weakness.
      Are you in Poultry farming or you are just starting out?

    You pen need to be fill with enough wood shaving to prevent accumulation of waste products. Their waste will a big problem to your farm

      Hello Esther, good to see you again. Thankyou for the insights, actually on our end we usually remove the litter after two weeks . Hence we usually have that under check ✅ but we can always improve on it.
