Oh man those sneaky small leaks are the worst. Good thing you caught that before it did a lot of wood & mold damage.

This job is such a joy to do. *NOT!!!* I take on plumbing and toilet work, but I like them the least of any DIY work I do. Sink drains and their plumbing are a PITA. Toilets aren't any better, especially the bowl seal. I have back issues, too, with hips and neck issues to make that worse. I can get the work done, but it takes me 2 and 3 times longer than most. I have to go slow and take breaks. While I had a bathroom remodel guy here, he pulled the toilet to get tiles on the wall behind it. He used a plastic accordion-type seal which I thought was pretty cool. No wax mess. I'll see if it lasts as long as wax. This house was built in 1960 or '61, but the flexible water hoses were already on everything. We added shutoff valves to the bathroom sink. They were required to have the sink counter cabinet out to tile the walls. I've seen videos where the toilet base in the floor had to be replaced, as if the job wasn't difficult enough already. Getting that to fit and seal in an older house can be a major project in itself. Great job, Joe. Congratulations

Thank you. Boy to be young again. Back & neck pain definitely slows us down. There are times when I have to figure how to over come to get it done. Years back just pulled, lifted, shoved without a thought ( or strain/pain ). Slow & easy these days. Stay well, Joe Z

@@JOEZEP54 I think I said before: Persistence and perseverance. Determination is also key. Since a lot of these DIY projects are not my specialty or even close, I watch videos for tips and tricks. Sometimes special tools are needed, so if I can't make a workaround with other tools, I'll buy them or have the job done, depending. It looked like you had a little camera help this time toward the end. Tell Johnny or whomever I said Hi and thanks for helping you. All the best.

@@100vg I have the same thought process. Johnny came to the rescue near the end of the video for the camera work. I will say hi to him. Thank you.
