Consciousness can affect RNG, it does, in a way, work whatever some people will tell you.
I will always hold Down+B when I throw a pokeball, right after the ball first closes.
I always did a rapid tap on just the B button.

These compilations have been game-changing for me come work or sleep time. A+ background noise by day and A+ sound mixing/chill levels of facts by night.
It was such a magical time without internet guides. Those legendary Pokemon were indeed legendary and put you in awe.
I remember when I would encounter one of the dog trio in GSC, I would be ecstatic since I did not know how they roam.

This video came up when I accidentally hit skip on my earbud while in ceramics class. Since I was working with clay, obviously my hands were messy and not ready to change videos. I was pleasantly surprised by the video, and am happy I kept this video on, it was great background noise while I worked on my project!
I still rapidly alternate tapping A and B out of superstition despite knowing it does nothing.
You have to hold A as soon as the ball closes! If you hold it down harder, you have a bigger chance of catching the Pokemon!

It's genuinely so cool to me that a franchise like Pokemon that I've been obsessed with for so long can still hold brand new trivia I've never heard before. Even just the smallest trivia like Victini's shiny never been seen in game save for in the files, these games and this franchise is so amazing.
Even if it wasn't possible in the games, Misty would totally slap someone who named their water type Pokemon with swear words. Or any other Pokemon really

For a while I started dancing in place to the music, looking away, losing all hope, gaslighting myself into making it work, and now I'm at "just hold your breath. No blinking. No moving. Fun fact: One of the Luigi Pokemon steps, turning the Gameboy upside down, was re-purposed by the Pokemon company to become a unique evolution for Malamar. ^_^

Anybody else old enough to remember playing Red, or Blue while the first season of the anime was airing on TV? I remember being at the same point in the game as Ash was in the anime, and remember thinking how cool it was. I feel bad for the kids who weren't born in time to enjoy pokemon in its prime. If you were born in 1990, you hit the jackpot like I did. If you were born any later than 1995, you most definitely missed the train. Sorry.

Regarding the lavender town myth, as a kid I did encounter one curious thing for myself about it though, which was quite spooky!
First off, I'd like to clarify that as a kid I adored creepypastas and the likes, however I never actually believed any of it to be true. Similar, it's not like I truly "believed" the lavender town tune to really do anything whatsoever. Already as a child I was very much a science nerd, who wasn't into simply accepting info due to it being stated somewhere.
However I simply liked the crazy creepypaste ideas. As such, I looked up many videos and tidbits and listened to various versions of the song. Then one day I came across a youtube video which supposedly played the lavender town song with "missing frequencies" or something like that. If I listened just as normal, nothing happened. But when I listened to it with headphones on, I could hear a low, monotone noise running in the background (I probably also heard that sound without the headphones on, but somehow it only really stood out to me while wearing headphones). By the end of listening to that sound recording, I had a bad headache.
Weird. But I'm not one to just assume it's due to the song. Perhaps I was already getting ill, and a confirmation bias was simply occurring. Then I proceeded to listen to the song again on different occasions. Each time I got a headache. But again, I thought it couldn't be due to the song; I was probably so riled up about this whole myth that I was imagining things, having some sort of bias going on.
So I decided to run a little test with other people. I asked friends and family who had never heard the song before, and had never heard of this whole lavender town tune creepypasta, to listen to the song while wearing my headphones. I didn't tell them anything about why I wanted them to listen to the song, or what I expected to happen, so they mostly just looked at me sceptical. Then after listening to the clip, each and every one of them reported having a headache.
As I said, I'm a science nerd, so I don't just believe that my silly findings as a kid hold any specific meaning or indicate something is wrong with the song. But it most definitely was weird how that particular version of the song seemed to consistently induce a headache.
Imagine how powerful these rumors were. I was a kid all the way in the caribbean with no internet just my pokemon game and friends and these rumors STILL got to me like bro😂😂😂😂. Pokemon is universal
