I had never played a gamecube before until a few weeks ago at a friends house. I am hooked! Double dash was so fun. Just learned that the Wii is backwards compatible so this is going to be a fun Christmas

This video makes me so happy! The Gamecube has held a special place in my heart ever since i got it at the midnight launch at Game. Picked it up with Luigi's mansion, Super Monkey ball and Rogue Squadron 2, i didnt sleep for 1 minute that night.
And it was my first of many midnight launches.

I think steering away from European influence in Wind Waker really contributed to making something that really stood out visually, but also acoustically. Dragon roost Island theme is still one of my favourite pieces of video game music of all time.
That and Outset Island are my favorites in the game. Underrated Zelda game.

Happy Home Designer was a fun game, but I do think that they should have added a budget. Yes that would have limited creativity, but it would have given the game more challenge, making it less repetitive.

The reason resident evil remake didn’t sell well is because it was only on GameCube. A family friendly system. Us PlayStation guys at the time would have loved a port.

Why would it be highly unlikely that a music writer for a video game that specializes in guitar wouldn’t have a complicated device that would record guitar input as midi? How do you know that these songs are midi in the first place? How is it so hard to translate guitar playing into midi when millions of Japanese people write insane midi tracks

The gun reflection texture on Plum's golf club in Melee was probably just a random texture that the artist had lying around that happened to make for a nice looking reflection map.
They did the same for peaches umbrella in smash 4

I couldn't disagree more, I found their portion a lot more enjoyable than many others DYKG has had... Even in this same video. Audio quality is a huge factor, and they were very natural in reading the lines. They seemed interested in the facts, and in sharing them. 😊
Strongly agreed. I dislike his or her voice quite a bit. The audio quality might be good, but it can only get you so far.
Voices like Scott and the first guy are a lot more bearable to listen to than this Alexa sounding ass voice.

While I agree that the RE 4 villagers are technically speaking in a Mexican Spanish dialect based on the particular words being said (besides a few weird choices), the vo actors are *clearly* Spanish as they’re speaking in a European lispy Spanish accent. The dichotomy sounds kinda peculiar to a Spanish speaker.
Hearing the wrong Spanish accent being spoken from characters in media usually takes me out of the story but it surprisingly didn’t bother me too much here.
In Most Modern games, the data is mined and analysed as soon as the game releases,no secret is left a week after release
This removed the magic from MMOs for me. Now everyone knows datamined content before the stuff even releases.
Correction, usually no secrets left. Red dead redemption 2 still has many Easter eggs and stuff that we don't know much about and are still finding, some we know of at least by name but nothing else

A tiny correction: the RE4 villagers speak a Spaniard dialect of Spanish, not a Mexican one.
That dialect didn't sound like any I have heard, and I'm from Spain. The remake did have spaniard accent tho
@@VashdaCrash the spanish is butchered so I doubt they're native speakers, but phrases like "¡Os voy a romper a pedazos!" indicate that it is 100% in spain due to the "os", as spain is the only spanish-speaking country that uses the differentiated plural "os" instead of "los". If it was mexican or any sort of latin-american spanish, it'd be "¡Los voy a romper a pedazos!"

Sorry if I'm coming up a little strong, but I really wanted to talk about how it didn't sound like an Asturian accent, or Galician, or Basque, which was what I expected when it came out. Maybe I'm wrong, where do you think that accent came out exactly?

I don't think the accent is from any particular region from Spain, simply because I don't think the actors are native spanish speakers (hence why it sounds so weird and unnatural and grammatically incorrect). But the script, when read, IS written in spain spanish, judging by differences such as "os".

I love these videos to death, but it gets me to no end that they have people who will translate Japanese articles for them, but not teach them how to pronounce important names or titles. I don't expect fluency, but when they pronounce "gin" like the alcohol or "shogakukan" as "showguhKOOkawn" it kills me every time. Wouldn't it sbow basic respect to at least get the basics right?

As dumb as to sounds they're not wrong, the original they gave them Mexican accents with Spain Spanish because they didn't know the difference. The remake actually changed it to be Spain Spanish accent and words that way it's not insulting to people or confusing.
