We would like to thank John Deley and the 41 Players for the use of their music - "Dixie Outlandish (Sting)" - for our intro and outtake.
Hey, Julia. I love the way you walk us through your thought process as you design. Thanks for telling us what works and why. You amaze me.
Awww ... Louanne - Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate it!
Don't we all "detail ourselves into Crazyland"? If we overthink it and take all the fun out of card making.
I am blaming every gray hair on it!! LOL
I love how u precut & gather yr pieces first. So easy for u to pull each card together so fast. Thx. And I LOVED the 5th card's green ribbon the way u have it. I've a ton of ribbon as I ALWAYS fall in love w all of it & must have it. Then, go to use it & done like it on that card. Think it's the standard bow i don't care for. Love wrapped around the paper ribbons on, or what u just did.
Hi Sue - These were some fun cards to make, and they went together very easily. I struggle with ribbon too so don't feel alone!!
Lovely cards, Julia. I am learning a whole new language from you … “stripey”, “ribbon poof” and “teeninesy flower”! You always make me smile.😘 TFS! ❤️🇨🇦
Glad I can be amusing LOL!!! It's part of my charm --giggle snark!
@@SeniorSusieStamps You’re a gem, Julia. I like to watch you at night as you have such calming voice. And I love your chuckle. 😘🥰
BEAUTIFUL cards!!! LOVE how you threaded paper thru the frames!!! Clever to use an old stamp pad for a different color. I'd like to see you Easter cards.
Oh Thank You Kathleen! That's fun to do with ribbon also and then tie a little knot in. I don't ever throw away a good stamp pad. If I can't rehydrate and get ink out, I put a very close color on top with a reinker and just do another label. It may not be perfect, but then I'm not either!! I'll make a video of the Easter cards soon.
Hello Julia. Some wonderful ideas again for using up our scraps. I love the effect of the tissue paper on laminate. Please do show that! I have some nice tissue paper here I am hoarding as its so pretty. Further to the pockets for the sentiments (which are wonderful by the way) I have now purchased 5x7 photo ones which are 2 top load ones front and back you store in folders again. I hope to store precut white die cuts so I can colour them or just have ready to go ones I do in colours. I think you making your little "kits" got me thinking of preparing and preassembling some elements. My fave cards were the ones with the white flowers on them. I think first and last you made. They just look so fresh. 😊
Hi Kaye! I'll do a laminated tissue video soon. That's such a great technique when you don't want to get all gluey gooey!! What a great idea! I will look for some of those because I thought I would like to do a bunch of flower die cuts. The primary reason I like punches is because they are so quick and easy. But if I had die cuts on hand I would certainly be using more of them. It stunts my momentum to have to stop and go die cut something. Lazy me!! I added a few more flowers to the last card (small ones) and it looks much more finished.
@@SeniorSusieStamps I figure I will use many more die cuts if they are cut out ready to go! 😊 I have borders and decorative frames etc so that is why I chose 5x7 but you can buy them also in 4x6 or mixed frame sizes. I just wanted to have plenty of room for larger cuts if needed.
@@kayebrown2440 I ordered some 4 x 6 to try them. I love the concept! Thanks Kaye!!
LMAO love you are honest that you don't like some paper
Oh that paper, and I just can't bring myself to thow it out. Because it makes nice cards! Crazy!!!
I keep forgetting to mention this when I send you a comment. You have the cutest giggle and I enjoy watching you and listening to you.
I just love making videos for you all it's like you are right there with me and we are having a party!
Hi Julia. Well what a great crop of cards -- loved them all. You know I love to see helpful tips on scrap usage cuz as you always say, let's not waste that. I've been having lots of productive fun using my scraps making Mother's Day, Father's Day and lots, lots, lots of baby cards. They are just so adorable to make. Thanks so much as always for another great video. 😊🇨🇦
Hey Girl - I'm glad you liked them! Sounds like you've been really busy! I am still working on my Easter cards. Then I am going to move on to some study samples - still trying to get a grip on geli plate...
I'd like to see what you do with your gel plate. I have one and haven't really gotten anything. Completed that I made with it so i'd be looking forward to seeing what you can do with it.
I love all your videos, especially the scrap card ones. Would love to see your Easter cards.
Thanks Diane! I'll record making those Easter cards and publish soon.
Loved the cards as usual and I really loved the ribbon poof!💕💕💕
Thanks Lisa - That little poof just kinda grew on me too!!
Thanks for sharing all the techniques! I enjoy watching you make cards and am inspired to get making cards myself.
Hi Gram - I'm glad you are getting inspiration out of my videos - Mission Accomplished - YAY!!!
G'day Julia, I really loved the cards you made with the tissue paper. I really appreciated the limited colour palette, and they were very effective. The cards you made in this video were very colourful in contrast, and they equally looked lovely. I too didn't like the weird Stampin Up paper, and to think that you still have another full sheet. If it were me, I would conveniently lose it... LOL!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Julia, I love listening to you chat away as you are creating your masterpieces, and I believe that you have made up a new word at 15.11 mins... "misscomboobulated". I think that word has to go into the dictionary for sure.
God's richest blessings to you and have a wonderful and creative day in your studio.
Love and hugs, Gloria 🤗☕🍰🌻💖
Howdy Gloria! Isn't that tissue paper gorgeous? I never seen any like that where I shop. So pretty. I actually made a bag with that ugly paper and it turned out pretty well. Will email you a pic tomorrow. Mis/Discomboobalated is a term my Great Aunt Julia used to use and I always thought it was a fun word. So descriptive! God's blessings to you as well. Love and Hugs, Julia
@@SeniorSusieStamps Oh, it's a Julia thing... too funny! 🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful cards! I can't decide which one I like the best but the one with the green ribbon is definitely in the running for first place. I love green so I guess that's why. 😉
Thank you!! Sometimes I struggle to pick a favorite myself!!
I just discovered your videos & absolutely love them! You remind me of a dear friend who I used to scrapbook with. She was a true gem, too.
Oh Sharon - What a nice memory. Welcome - I'm glad you're here. There are a lot of videos on the channel already if you have time and want to do some back watching. Otherwise, I am trying to put out a new video on Sundays. There should be one out this afternoon in fact!! Come back soon!
Love these cards. I had the same embellishment kit so I tried that "putting the strip through the middle of the frame" I didn't have the papers you had but I found some that would work. I have tons of scraps from over the years. I cannot throw them away!!! LOL
I think it's wonderful that you are using what you have! That's why I started this channel to begin with - to encourage others to shop and use their stash! Thanks Dawn!!!
I think they are all beautiful!
Thank you!
I loved all 5!! Darling cards Julia❤
Hi Betty - I'm so glad you liked them! I have them all packed up and ready to go to my friend with about 15 others. She will put them all to good use.
Thank you for the video.
Absolutely!
really beautiful cards
Thanks SugarRay!!
Another creation! Love the last card, too hard to choose. Butterflies were adorable. And I’ve been quilting for last several days. A California king in Carpenter star is a monster. Got all the cutting and sewed my blocks, now I sew together and finish. Lot of time goes into quilting. Daughters new house as a gift. I’ve made 6 cards and it’s a work in progress. Appears I get Duh-moments when i want to create. In time I tell my self. Love all the video and friendship. 💌✂️
Hey B - I get Duh Moments too, so don't dispair! Enjoy the process and remember it's only paper!!! That's my Mantra!!
beautiful note cards !
Thanks a bunch!
Great looking cards. love the idea of using scraps....thanks for sharing your ideas.
I just found you and subscribed and glad I did.
Hi Terrie - Welcome to My Channel! I'm glad you are here and hope you continue to find the content interesting. There is also a facebook page if you are interested. I know not everyone "does" facebook. facebook.com/seniorsusiestamps/
Just found you and I have to say I’m so glad that I did! You are just the type of artist I enjoy!
If you have made the video on laminating one side of papers I’d love the link for that! Thank you so much!
Hi Robin - You'll find some one sided laminating in this video. It happens to be paper napkins but the concept is the same. Glad you are here!! ruclips.net/video/vMESeaDnbjM/видео.html
I am so glad I found your channel! - jo shu
Hi Jo Shu! Welcome to My Channel I am glad you are here! There is lots of content if you want to back track a bit. Otherwise, I am currently on a Sunday publish schedule. Come back soon!!
Love the cards! ❤
Always a joy to see you create. Bring on the Easter cards. 😊
Hi Gigi! Thank you! Will do!
All your cards came out so cute. :-) I would love to see those Easter cards. Thanks for your videos, I look forward to them!
Thanks April! I appreciate it.
Would love to see your easter cards
Thanks Joni - I will publish one soon!
Hi Julia. I love the cards that you created with the tissue paper and would love to know what stamp set you used for the tree. Great use of the tags and frames too!
Hi J - Thank You! That stamp is one I purchased unmounted, generic from ebay. I don't have a clue who made it. But, isn't it a beaut??
Love these note cards a great use of happy mail and scraps. I liked the ribbon fluffies, did they travel well?
Thanks Ellen - Yes they were fine!
I would love to see how you use your laminator. I have made many projects with your videos as inspirations, so I am sure I would learn with a laminator one. BTW, do you use adhesive foil sometimes in card making? Some of the tools you need for foiling are so expensive, I have not brought myself to buy any.
Hi Johanne - I can do that! Using the laminator really adds strength to those pieces of napkin or tissue. Now to answer your question - I don't foil as you say it's a bit expensive. And I thought perhaps I could add some metallic in the way of acrylic paint or pens instead. It's pretty, but just another thing to have around the studio. Believe it or not, I am really trying to use things up - LOL!!
Can you show us how you made those adorable flowers?
Hi Ilene - I show how to make those flowers at the 13:05 minute mark.
My lever punch did not last.
I'm sorry - That's frustrating!
Would someone please tell me what happy mail is?
Absolutely - That's just a term I use sometimes when someone sends me some crafting goodies in the mail! It's just a little unexpected gift of supplies!
