Oh those Xyron's have a world of uses! But you are right they are easy to forget. My problem is I never can remember which way up the paper goes in LOL!!!
Love these cards! When I first saw the yellow/gold strips, I thought the little black dots were eyes!!! LOL!!! That's what my eyes told my brain until I saw them up closer and realized they were little jingle bells. SMH...😁😂🤣
I wish there was a little heart button here! lol Once again, beautiful cards and another fabulous way to use up scraps. Christmas may be long over now, but the technique will work wonders any time of year. I've got so many strips, and now, another new way to use them up! TFS!
@@SeniorSusieStamps I did see that video! And, of course it's on my 'must try' list! So many techniques and ideas, so many scraps, so little time! lol Big Spring cleaning happening here clearing out in hopes of selling and moving on. Would love to use up all the scraps so I don't have to take them with me! (Unless it's in the form of finished cards and hand made ephemera!)
Hi Marilyn - I didn't pay any attention to the length, just cut the width and trim off with your scissors. After you get your starting point they all fall into place...
Amazing! Love this technique! Adding those gold stars made such a nice little embellishment. Terrific cards, as always! You are so talented and creative. I just love your videos.❤

Absolutely! I have just come down from the studio using up more of those strips and will be posting the card pics over on the facebook page probably tomorrow. It has been an amazing year of scraps for me and I can see a big reduction in the studio believe me!
Hi Julia, there is nothing more comforting than sitting down with a lovely cup of tea and vegemite on toast for breakfast and watching you making Christmas cards... that is what I call bliss. 🥰 I loved your Christmas cards, and your attention to detail. It was wonderful watching your thought process as you chose the elements to use on each card. It looks as if you still have a lot of scraps there to make a card or two more! Many years ago, I had some glitter glue but never used it because I didn't know how to apply it to my cards so that it looked nice. I think I ended up popping it in the charity box with other bits and pieces. On seeing how you have used glitter glue I probably would have kept it. Of course, what I use now are the shimmer pens if I want a little sparkle. Wishing you a wonderful evening, so until next time... Blessings, love and hugs from your Aussie friend, Gloria! 🥰☕🍰💐💖💕
You know, I just assumed you were 12 hours different than I am, but really not sure. Do you know? My vegemite came today. Toast in the morning! These cards are fun to make and you can do so much with them to use up little odds and ends... Take care my friend - Hugs from Tennessee! Julia
@@SeniorSusieStamps Hi there Julia, I just checked, and your time right now is 6.30pm on Thursday evening, whereas it is 10.30am Friday morning here. I did my calculations, and you are 16 hours behind me which also includes our daylight savings which commenced at the beginning of October where we put our clocks forward by one hour. Time differences can get very confusing, can't they? OHHHHHHHHHHHH the vegemite!!! I will be definitely thinking of you as you try it for the first time... 🤣although I may be asleep by your breakfast time! (Your 7am will be our 11pm... I think!!!) I hope you purchasing the vegemite wasn't a waste of money, and that you will enjoy the experience. 🤣🤣🤣Please let me know what you thought of it. Hi Julia, these are awesome cards, I love strip cards. If you stick to the pattern, they pretty much make themselves and look great. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Your cards are stunning, I have only done diagonal strips I will try your method, I really like the way they came out. I love your “embellishments “ box, could you give us a closer look?!!

Oh what fun!!!! I have to make some of these! As you were making your cards, my mind was racing with ideas. The diagonal card is my favorite and the way you embellish is really genius! I know you said we don't have to have a xyron, but if we wanted one the same as yours, which one do you have? I'm sure it's small enough to hide in my tiny apartment! LOL God bless you, Julia and thanks for all the inspiration!

As I said in my last msg... your voice is so relaxing it makes it easy to follow your instructions. Thank you.
This card layout really uses up some scraps if you make several cards. Scraps seem to just multiply in my studio. I try very hard to use up paper once I cut into a full piece. But boy it can be a challenge!!
It does add to the cost. But if you compare a handmade card and $1 postage vs stationary store card I think you still come out way ahead. And I like to change up my card formats as much as possible.
Thank you so much. I am learning lots about making cards.
That's wonderful Geraldine - I'm so glad to be part of your journey!
