    Hi Julia, what a sweet little card you made today, and I loved the layout of the card base. I might have to use that myself when I eventually get back in my craft studio. I really loved the first card that you showed us... the 'Thinking of You' card, and the second card would be a great masculine card for a birthday. I have just purchased some Paper Rose Cog dies, and 3D embossing folder in the hopes to make some more masculine cards for church when I feel inspired. Videos like this certainly gets me thinking and would love to create something similar.
    Thank you, Julia, you are such an amazing friend, and a very talented lady.
    God's blessings, love and hugs, Gloria 🥰🌻☕🍰❤

      Hi Gloria!! There is a drawback to this card - it won't stand on it's own. You could put an easel on the back, which is what I plan to do. Or it could be mounted up on a topfold card base. However, having said that, not everyone displays cards like some of us do!! LOL and they would be the perfect candidate for this card, as is! Take care my Friend and God Bless your day!! Julia

      @@SeniorSusieStamps Julia... of course, and I didn't think of that. I appreciate you mentioning that it needs an easel attachment to stand. I will have to think about that one. I must say that I love to display my cards when I get them.
      May you receive Jesus' peace today and always. Blessings, love and hugs, Gloria 🤗🌷❤

    Hi Julia, let me start by saying I get so ecxited to see your videos come up in my feed. BUT today I was really excited cuz lime green is my favourite colour. My craft room is lime green and I just happen to be wearing a lime green top which is about 15 years old. I was very impressed to see that you based your card on that tiny strip. It turned out really great -- good job. Loved that twine trick as well. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦

    Hello Julia! I look forward with excitement to what you will upload on a Monday morning (here). You never disappoint. 😊 I think you are a fabulous teacher and have learned so many tips on how to use things differently now. The cards are just so lovely and the layered butterfly one you make here is stunning. I have one question (sorry if its a dumb one!) and that is how do they stand? Do you make a little cardboard stand and send with them? I do have a stand die in a couple of sizes.

    • @SeniorSusieStamps
      @SeniorSusieStamps  Год назад

      Hi Kaye - No that is not a dumb question, and I thought about putting an easel on the back, but didn't want to muddy the water with another technique on this video. I would love to know more about the stand die. I have a BigZ die that is no longer available, so I usually cut my own because it is just a little too large for an A2 size card.

    Love the cards! Thank you for sharing. Can I ask what your paper pack of scraps is in that you showed. Are those just sleeve protectors clipped together?

    • @SeniorSusieStamps
      @SeniorSusieStamps  3 месяца назад

      Hi Gena - Yes those are heavy duty sheet protectors. I try to keep my scraps with the parent pack in a heavy duty protector. The little clear pack of scraps was a card protector from Clearbags. It was just the right size to keep the final scraps from that paper - all I had left. It's easier for me to use scraps when I can pull a larger sheet to use if I need it. I have trained myself to ALWAYS use scraps first. It was a challenge at first, but I'm in the grove now...

    One 1x4 scrap... plus several other pieces! ☺️
    It would make good use of dry embossed panels, though, that one has sitting around, or maybe one of those strippy set panels that we glued our scrap strips onto.
    But, I have to admit, I was wondering how one could claim it was making a card with just one 1x4 strip. 😏
    Pretty, card, though!
