The floor underneath is nicer.
It’s a linoleum floor underneath. Much softer and prone to tear and discolor with cleaning. If it was actually stone then maybe but I’d much rather have the new floor.

No longer a floating system after this repair,the damaged board was close to the wall and would have took 15 minutes to pull it up from the wall
Still floating. He didn't glue the plank to the floor. He glued it to another plank by the lip only.
What did you use to cut it ?
So you can place plank floors over any type of floor

Why wouldn't you just get rid of the linoleum below?
LVP can be installed over any existing floor to protect it and to update any space with a new look!
@arkofloors Yea but you shouldn't just use flooring over an existing flooring compound. You get air pockets that way.
@@arkofloorsnot true. Installing over wood flooring that’s over concrete will create a green house effect and fail.
