He looked like he had good control of his knife. Excellent video.
40 year flooring Contractor here.
For those attempting to do this type repair.
Don't use a straight blade on your reciprocal tool. Use a radiused blade. In other words a semi circle. It won't jump and chatter. It will follow the line effortlessly.
Suction clamps aren't necessary. Also as others have said DON'T cut cross handed like this. And by NO means put a nail through the floor. 🤦♂️
Otherwise pretty good video. I'm sure it's helped lots of people.
Agree, half moon reciprocal.
How about a circular saw?

So why didn’t you share your 40 years of knowledge by showing us the correct way with your own video? Always some know it all with “don’t do this, don’t do that” crap. I personally found the suction puller worked like a charm far more than not having it. It’s by far the best way to control the new flooring if you’re a novice. Also the straight blade worked just fine without issues since it was all I had. Other than the agreement with the knife safety advice the guys video is on point.
Wow... this was as serious repair.....very impressive. Thank you for your clear and concise instructions.
Great video. Just installed a couple of vinyl plank floors here in my house. I’m going to use this method if i ever have to do this kind of repair.
I just installed three floors with the same locking plank, (Lifeproof Vinyl Plank) It went great to installed I have no problem with this flooring and glad to have this video as a spear tire, I may never need it but I put this video in my file, what a great video that really eased my mind and how and if something like this ever happens thanks.
Brilliant, have never seen this. Great idea. Kind of feel like walking around my house and looking for flooring to repair.
Hands down best video tutorial on RUclips pertaining to this fix. I’ve done this several times with different floor installation types and as far as this goes, it’s the best! 👍🏻👌🏼
Fantastic video! I was even able to do it without my husband's help and not with an extensive knowledge of tools! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I’m glad I could be of help! You got this! 👍🏽😊
One day I'm going to learn all your knowledge and teaching on youtube and take over the world.

Thanks Buddy, Didn't know what I was gonna do about the damage to my laminate. But thanks to you I know now!
The best video yet!! Thank you
Just what I was after. Thank you. Was thinking I’d have to rip out all the skirting boards to just to get all the flooring up to get to the damaged one lol. Thank you
Thank you so much for this awesome video! I just finished installing floors in my basement that were second hand floors from someone else and I have a few issues that can't be fixed with simply replacing a board unfortunately there are no more boards left. However the glue the suction cup and the weights I think are going to be the key that I needed!!!❤
I really like your videos, you explain things very clearly. I am learning a lot from your videos . Keep up the great work !
Thank you so much for the feedback and for the support! I’m glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
You need to find another suction cup to recommend because the one you use on your video's is out of stock everywhere and says "don't know if or when it will be available again".
Very informative video, very well made bro! Thanks!
Great job! And thanks for proving to me that I’m going to need to hire someone to do this for me!

Love your videos. I have an area in my LVP where two planks come together at the end. A weight was dropped, and it crushed in the two ends. Do you have a method to repair without replacing the planks? All I have is scrap planks left from initial installation. Thanks!!!
Nice job !
Thanks this is really helpful
I’m a flooring installer and this is actually super helpful for me. Thank you very much.

Good content 👍🏼
Awesome video bro
Wow. Thank you sooo much
Thank you for the video. I am repairing a water damaged IKEA floor with the spares I bought at the same time. Someone mentioned I should get LVT as it was better than laminate. But it seems like the same style of repair as laminate. No benefit to changing until I cannot repair the floor anymore.
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏽😊
Hello what is the reason that after the replacement the edges kind pops up a bit. Thanks
What a great and clear video for this. Mine doesn't have damage, but several planks are buckling?????
Excellent video!

Thanks so much, I need to replace a gauged piece in a place I am renting!
Thank YOU VERY MUCH
Thanks bruh!!
I was wondering about that. Don't look forward to that .😊
great thank you
Your awesome thanks
thank you so very much!
Great videos keep them coming. So, when you glued the joint with the 2P-10 Thick Adhesive did you use the activator with it? or is it not necessary for that application? not sure if I missed it. Thank's.
Thank you! I personally would not use the activator on this situation unless you can it position it perfectly on the first try because the activator adhesion is instant. Just using the glue would give you some buffer time to position and tap the plank in place 👍🏽😊
Awesome video
Thank you Hoason! 🙏🏽😊
Great vid
Thank you 🙏🏽!
NIce video i mostly wanted to see what glue to use the Vinyl plank. Something you might consider , when i cut out the planking I just rip with circular saw about and inch from seams making a square, then , and you might have to use the dremel to complete the corners the center pops out , then take a drill with small bit and drill holes at a 45 degree to the corner on all four , it will just snap out. no need to watch a dancing dremel damage existing piece
Thank you for sharing and the meaningful comment ! 🙏🏽😊
This is an awesome DIY video for beginners. So will this work if multiple planks need to be replaced?
Thanks!
Nice 😊
Thank you so much for the video. I just subscribed to your channel! Quick question, i am trying to replace my own vinyl plank, my flooring says its unilin click and its float installation. Its clicked down installation (per manufacturer). So my vinyl plank should be the same as the one shown in the video right?
Thank you!
well done
Good job brother
Thank you 🙏🏽!
thank you for the video, i was able to fix the tenants floor, it was the same floor from your video
I’m glad I could be of help Maria! Great job! 👍🏽😊
Great job. You made that look so easy! I’m sure it would challenge me, as I don’t have any spare wooden planks. I doubt they are made anymore. Thanks for posting.
check your closet, maybe you can get one from there then install different one in closet.
Yeah, I kept an extra box just in case. Only works though if you are there for the install. Hard to do if you are moving into a new place.
That’s a lot of work! I’ll find a way to fill it in with same color plastic filler...
