Great info and thanks for sharing your knowledge. I still have the 6.0 you dealer proof many years ago and still running strong. I been tempted to get the new 6.7 high output but hard to let go of my 2006 F250.
Bill I use Archoil products in my 6.9 (420 ci) and it runs smoother, quieter and more powerful. This is cuz of your recommendation. I enjoy your channel and I use Archoil.
I bought a 2017 F250 6.7 gave it back within 2 weeks glad I did. Kept my 7.3 and my 6.0 and added a 15 6.2 I just don't need the 10k 6.7 mess long term
The 2019 HD Rams went to the newer Cummins 6.7L which uses the CP4 pump, lots of failures where its got to the point they were recalled by Stellantis. Their fix is to retrofit the engine to a revised CP3 pump. I've heard GM also used the CP4 on the Duramax and they failed allot as well.
I love my new 2005 remanufactured long block 6.0 with head studs!. My first original 6.0 came out at 316,000. I have used Arch oil combo for a year or more and I agree with Bill, USE it!!!
Ford should engineer and patent a quick disconnect system for the cabs to come off whenever you need to do the most basic repair on one of these things.
It seems that a majority of the problems with the 6.7 Powerstroke can be traced back to Ford's use of the CP4 fuel pump. I love Fords but if they insist on using the flawed CP4 I may buy a Cummins next. Not that they don't have their own issues.
Yup every forum you click on is a panic fest about the CP4 pump. For years now I have ran the Archoil in my 16 6.7 and replace the fuel filters every oil change. Hey I’m one that’s listened hahah. Sure it might be a little extra but I’d much rather spend a bit extra up front in maintenance for the longevity of my truck then like you said 10K for a new fuel system. Not to mention the hassle of the down time. 6.7 is a fantastic engine just gotta take a few extra steps maintenance wise which sadly a lot of people don’t.
I have a 2015 67,000 Miles's I'm having this issue with p0087 and p228f . There no shavings on the high volume pressure actuater , I replaced the low pressure pump and both sensors on the fuel rail plus fuel filters and still got same codes idk wut else to look for
The CP4.2 does not mean its a revised/improved pump. The .2 indicates its a dual piston pump. CP4.1 - Single piston pump (Used on Ecodiesel and smaller diesel engines) CP4.2 - Dual piston pump
I have a 2017 Ford F-350 6.7 truck has had the "weight reduction" on the exhaust along with egr system shut off (not delete). Tuning for the truck was done through GDP. I change both of my fuel filters every 5k miles. My problem am having is under 100% load in the 5th setting on my tuner which is the most powerful tune the truck throws a P0087 code. This truckhas been tuned since the truck had 60k miles and it is at 160k now with no issue besides the check engine light on under full acceleration in the hottest tune. Does anyone have a solution for this? I feel like it is a tuning issue but I a not sure. Side note: the people that tuned my truck have done multiple updates on the tuner since the truck was tuned.
10 g then the diesel option is costly diesel fuel is high reliability not there I see why people are choosing gassers.i have 6.0 & 7.3 when 6.0 acts up I have my reliable 7.3
The Ar6500 fuel treatment is crucial in the 6.7L. I dont encourage the Ar9100 in the oil of DPF equipped trucks. We dont think it will hurt the DPF BUT it is better to err on the safe side.
Love 'em. But you know those engines are coming to their end. There will be no more major development. Glad Ford did the 6.7 though. I only worked on the things, I'd never own one. Just makes zero financial sense.
I don't feel like I'm missing out on the hype and novelty of these newer diesel trucks.... as the problems start to rear their ugly expensive heads. My gas trucks just keep sucking gas and hauling ass when the diesel is stuck on the side of the road. 😂
Also be aware of that PCV pigtail, I’ve seen the pins backed out before or broken wires cause intermittent faults. (P0087 & P0093). Great video guys

I wish I had my 2005 6.0 back! I hate messing with DEF.
Fuel filters first. Especially that second one. They have reduced the microns and they block up like crazy. Half the time that is the fix.

GM used the CP4 from 2011 to 2016. 2017+ uses the HP4 from Denso.
There's a new replacement DCR fuel pump from s&s Diesel for the Ford 6.7 CP4.

Archoil being used on my truck since new. Hoping for good things!
"daddy you said it was a good truck, and it's not!" 😂😂😂
There’s also the new s+s DCR coming out rather than going with chinesium.
Ford should engineer and patent a quick disconnect system for the cabs to come off whenever you need to do the most basic repair on one of these things.
Has anyone seen the new DCR fuel pump from s&s Diesel that's coming out as a replacement for the 6.7 CP4 ?
Great info, I`ll keep my 7.3!!
😂 knew it wouldn’t be long until the 7.3 comments started.
Wow, I think I’ll stick with my ‘06 6.0. I’ve been using my Archoil religiously.

I listened to you! Even though I have a Duramax, I run archoil in every fill up.
SMART MAN. It will save your wallet big $ over time
thankyou for this great video. I have learned alot from it. long time subscriber
Love your page. Miss your video's
Can you open a fuel pump and show where they are coming apart?
Makes sense, seems like every mechanic starts changing the most expensive parts.
Very informative video so which particular Scan tool do you need for this particular test?

I'm getting the same code in the same scenario. Did you find a solution?
What’s your opinion on the S&S DCR
I can hear that big ass fan in back ground lol thanks guys I just used this video
Great video

Archoil! I use it! Faithfully!
I agree that Archoil was phenomenal for the 7.3 and 6.0 but do you believe that archoil is better for the 6.7 over the hotshot secret EDT?

Cp4s aren’t as stout as cp3s
Always do-pump and injectors in a pair
What a complicated system.
Sorry boy's I listen, never put in fuel without ArchOil.

time to go skiing
epa ruined diesels.... long live the 7.3
🥱
The more I watch the more the Godzilla engine is my choice.
Lot of that going around.
They’ve got the problems as well.
