Always enjoy sitting down to watch your builds. Its relaxing, entertaining, and informative. Looking forward to what you have instore for us all in the future!
Hi! Thanks to you, I got to know the occre company and became interested in wooden ships! I've never built anything like it, but I feel like I want to try building a pirate ship off occre! I've always wanted such an ornament in the living room. I like your construction report, atmosphere, music. Keep it up!
This build us really coming along nicely! The Occre kits really do represent great value and the parts and fittings are top class. Your build looks amazing. It's really inspiring. Keep it up!
Great video and awesome narration. It is great that you share the things you have learned. You really inspired me to step out of my comfort zone of plastic modeling and try something different
Hello Alex. Wow, looks really, really good so far. The cannons turned out really nice. With what I wrote at Occre I didn't want to criticize you, it's great that you do all the work to do it as a video and we can learn from your mistakes! I am very grateful to you for that. I hope you keep doing this for a long time!
No problem at all, it is true! Lesson learned! Thats why i asked for this Albatros! It has a bit of all ingredients to Naval Modeling. Planking, rigging... Its a learning curve! Merry Christmas
Hi Alex, what a fantastic job you are making of this ship, your attention to detail iis great and those canons are really goodso far so good as they say lol, question my friend, can you use laquer on top of acrylic for weathering, currently building USS Nimitz 1/500 thanks
Filming what is being built, doing two things at the same timeq is very difficult with out using ridiculously expensive studio equipment- only so much is possible. A robot builder or camera operator would be helpful, but NASA don't sell these second hand anymore or so I've been told.😃
Looks really cool! I love any kind of ships. Therefore, i would appreciate your advise. I am building the Bismarck in 1/350 scale. But i never built a ship with railings. What approach is better? Glue them in place or paint the whole thing and glue them as the last step?
Work by sections! Tge hull, then paint tge deck! And buikd tge super structure apart and then fit on the hull already built and painted .. always dry fit first
Alex i love your channel amd your works may i ask you what abrasive sponge have you used to sand the structure before placing the wood over the structure?
Alex, what type of CA do you use in this build, is it the fast viscosity, medium viscosity, or the slow viscosity. Also have enjoyed all of your builds. David
Alex!! If you didn't tell us it's your first wooden boat, we would have believed you. Fantastic!!🤩
It is! 🙂 Its the rigging and the masts that "scares" me now
@@AlexModeling Go for it!!! You will do great job 🙂

Are you a jazz fan, Alex? I subscribe as a modeller, but I'm also a jazz musician. I love the stuff you use for your soundtracks, especially at 9:57!!
Thank you! I really love Jazz! Classics are great but a good "in the groove" improv is also cool! 🙂🙂👍
12:34 that glue with a brush
Is that thick super glue?
No Sir! Its contact glue or i think its also called "coblers" glue? Not sure about the word
Top👌👌👌

I would paint those before putting it in place 🙂
@@AlexModeling yeah but what i meant is should i paint the whole ship before adding thebrailings. These are my Achilles feet...

I AM using the gel CA. Better Control and don t soak the wood
Might I ask what quick drying cement you are using?
I am using CA glue gel tipe 👍
@@AlexModeling awesome, thats the best. I made a wooden wagon model and used nothing but Gel ca and it worked perfect.
