Thanks Justin, I didn't know such a cleaner existed. Also, I use and really like the Vic Firth Dave Weckl series of sticks with a nylon tip. My Zildjian's started turning red and I contacted VF about three years ago when they changed the paint and they acted like it was new information to them. So now days I sand most of the paint off before using them. Thank you for your videos, keep up the great work! Rob
i use neat liquid detergent for the mesh head (no brushing just half hour wait) then rinse with warm water & for cymbals "Mothers VLR" Spray, think it's the same as the 303 spray
For rubber symbols I bought Dr Keddo Protectolan from R-Drums. Shipping to Australia was slightly more than what the product itself cost (€12,50) but it works really well and you don’t need to use much. It does start to wear off after a while especially around the edges where you hit the symbols. Just use a kitchen cloth to apply. Here’s the link: www.r-drums.com/english/shop/dr-keddo-protectolan/
Hello Justin V What do you think about using washing powder or Vanish for cleaning carpets or removing stains for heads? Or can there be any auto chemistry cleaner for plastic? Regards Max
Hey 65 drums , I have 4 accupads by hart dynamics and they have what looks like coated heads on them that are really old. Will the mesh heads of today work on them and will they sound ok. Also what module do you think would work best with them. I'm thinking of adding them to my drum kit.
JUSTIN PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION THANKS! So this music store online has the Alesis Surge open box for 399.99 100 off retail but the condition is marked blemished is it still good worth it have you bought stuff with the condition label Blemished cause i really want to get this kit thanks
(Off topic)....sorry.. but i kinda need advice from someone who knows better.... im torn between the alesis crimson vs the dm10...(not the one with extra cymbal) .... both about a thousand bucks... the crimson color looks cool...but...which one is better?
Dude, it's f'ing laundry detergent. Everyone has it in their house and it works wonders on mesh heads. Are they really bottling cleaning supplies now with their own label on it? Please don't showcase this nonsense. Next will be $6 healing crystals for your cymbals. E-drummers are so used to paying premium for things that sometimes common sense gets lost.
I actually use the $6 cymbal-healing crystals, and lemme tell you this: They are worth their weight in gold! Not only do they completely heal my cymbals, they infuse them with mystical, good happiness stuff that you just can't find elsewhere. In my humble opinion, it's Behringer's finest product to date.

That’s really interesting!

I think you can use a regular washing powder for a white clothes. I think that the result will be exactly the same.
Yeah that’s definitely possible. But I didn’t test it, so I don’t know for sure.
65 Drums here is a new topic for a video!

I asked here coz i wasnt sure if you would see new comments from your old vids... really sorry for being very off topic....
Hello everyone, can anyone tell me what these mesh heads are actually made of ? Is it just some sort of fabric ?
I'm wondering how would it compare to regular OxiClean?
Probably would work just as good.
So I find UFO for cleaning but not one review of the mesh head. I'm thinking about the UFO for reasons I read about. But I can't HEAR it.
Looks good!
Thanks John!
u h
I would bet its just Oxi clean in a salt shaker. Oxyclean and some of the generic versions look identical.
i have those drumsticks too
Handy to know :-)
What vids are coming up? :)
I’ve got a few ideas, definitely one about Superior Drummer 3 in the next 2 weeks
Hey Justin, did you start using SD3? And will you use it more than a module? I know you prefer to use module, but SD3 sounds really fantastic!
65 Drums you could do that kickdrum versus video I suggested ;)
Honey, have you washed your mesh heads today?
Yes!
I just use a air compressor with an air nozzle and blow it off that way it's a lot faster
It could be drugs lollll Interesting little product though.
SiREN2173 it probably is
I mean.. maybe ;)
It’s basically sodium carbonate... same one you use to clean your polyester clothes.
Lol oxy clean and tide in a salt shaker
Breaking bad meets 65 drums
LOL... UFODrums was formerly founded/located in Albuquerque, NM, where Breaking Bad was filmed.
all that water right beside all those electronics..........
“No drums were harmed in the making of this video”
I bet it's a combo of borax, washing soda and oxyclean
First. Sup?
Hey Kieren :)
Sure it's not just baking soda, or Napisan? ;)
