Lars was my inspiration to start playing drums for my very first band and of course I didn’t have TAMA. I had a drum set and the company that made it was called. “crest” it was my dad’s and it was 25 years old and he played jazz on it and I was playing heavy metal and the set was so old that it actually had real skins on it . we quickly figured out that this old set was not made for heavy metal and the lead singer of the band who was about seven years older than the rest of us. I met him for the 2nd time in my life at an event in Copenhagen where he was being interviewed or having a talk with a journalist last week. I am a short dude myself. [ I don't know why Lars gets so much hate. ] It's because in the early 2000s he was very outspoken against music piracy. The optics of a multi millionaire crying about illegal downloads did not sit well with the fans. That was back then. We now know Lars is a very down to earth person.

One of the things I love about Lars is that he knows his dates. I find myself doing that, and it's interesting hearing the accurate chronolgy of events.
Lars’ unwavering loyalty to TAMA for all those years speaks to how that company values the relationships they have with their artists. TAMA must be a damn good company to keep Lars onboard for 40 years
It would appear to be a horrid moment in rock to have the best drummer in history recommend a guy that can NOT play drums as the face of TAMA, but when you realize Neil had moved to Ludwig in 1987, it makes sense.

Thank u Lars, forever the ultimate drum hero. This video make my day
My fist kit after learning on dads Ludwiig was a Tama Superstar, 18 10 14. Can't remember the snare. That was also 40 years ago when I was 19.
Love u so much Lars ❤people who hate on u don’t know anything about drums ur the reason I started playing drums love u bro
We make fun of the memes now but at his peak, he sure was iconic and influential as a drummer. Aug 2013, Singapore, forever remembered in my memory banks!
Was surprisingly touching to see him go down memory lane with those of us who have followed them along the way.
This was fun to see all the kits in one space! Thanks for celebrating Lars’ kit history!
One of the things I love about Lars is that he knows his dates. I find myself doing that, and it's interesting hearing the accurate chronolgy of events.
ドラムはもちろんですが、後ろにある年季入った輸送箱がカッコ良すぎます👍✨📦
How can you not love Lars. Also, pretty cool how Neil Peart got him in contact with Tama.
Say whatever you want, but Lars changed metal drumming history 🗿 🫡 ⚒
Lars’ unwavering loyalty to TAMA for all those years speaks to how that company values the relationships they have with their artists. TAMA must be a damn good company to keep Lars onboard for 40 years
As a Canadian, it was cool to hear how Neil Peart got Lars involved with Tama
It would appear to be a horrid moment in rock to have the best drummer in history recommend a guy that can NOT play drums as the face of TAMA, but when you realize Neil had moved to Ludwig in 1987, it makes sense.
Lars is my hero, this guy is amazing. I love his load kit, so I rebuild my tama rockstar kit to his silver kit. Thank you lars 👍
TAMA hardware continues to support powerful drumming! It's the best tag!
Lars talking about his drum kits is what I needed
I wait my whole life for this, thank you Metallica and Tama
My favorite will be always the white tama from Black album!
Man, i can listen to Lars all day 🤟
You can tell he loves to listen to himself talk as well
Thanks Lars for all your work and drum parts. You have inspired so much of us to play drums, but also to play Tama drum kits !
Tama is for Lars as ESP and Gibson are for James and Kirk!
😢 4:42
And EMG pickups too. It's interesting how unlike other metal musicians they have stuck with these brands for so long. The endorsement deals must have been sweet from day one.
I love Lars... always have, a great drummer (the haters can do one) he's so funny as well, love listening to him. Metallica..the greatest metal band known to mankind, thank you for 40+ yrs of amazing music!
That Tama Lars snare is badass. I want one.
Love the diamondplate look
Not the one from St Anger, right?! 🤣
@vipersb1 Of course, the one from St. Anger. Reminds me of banging on pots, pans, and garbage cans, before I got my first drum set a hundred years ago. 🤘😉🤘
That snare he played on death magnetic was badass
