    I clean all the plastic and rubber parts with the same Car Dashboard UV protector liquid or wax, which gives me very good results.

    Ive noticed that wood tips leave marks on my cymbals that nylon tips dont. So I dont use wood tips anymore. My mesh heads dont get dirty either.

    "303 Aerospace Protectant" - this is the single best thing to clean the rubber cymbals. My very expensive kit was looking a little worse for wear, and I googled what would be best to clean them. After literally wiping it on and wiping it off they looked brand new again. I do it every month or so, and every time they go from having all the stick marks to perfectly new again. Best product I've ever been told to use.

    This is always a good idea to do when selling a kit. So many people sell their electronic kits without cleaning them and it can affect resale value.

      But if you know how to grade a V-cymbal (in terms of rubber degradation and asking the seller to confirm choke function) then this allows you to pick up some great deals!

      @@jezusmylord Yeah, it was a cool album for sure. Just wish the recording quality wasn't such trash, especially on the day that never comes. Sounds like my speakers are blown everytime that song starts getting heavy with the drums coming. I don't know how they let that slide, it's like they didn't even listen to it after it got mastered. At least we have the Rock band remastered version, sounds so much better.

    Hey I picked up 2 PD 85's to expand my Alesis strike by splitting with 2 Tom's on a quick test seems to work well. The pads are not quite mint but can be with some cleaning. Using the dishwasher method could the heat from washing or drying wreck the heads?

    Or sometimes I just use the WD-40 silicone lubricant. For many plastic parts...

      I probably wouldn't. I don't know for sure but it could dry out the rubber. If you just want to wipe them down, I think a damp cloth is probably the safest and make sure to dry it off well with another dry cloth.

      @Edgar Sousa I got me a used td-11 drum set in the past 2 months. It's a 5-piece kit and it came with hi-hat, ride and 2 crashes. It is plenty for me. I do not play the bar circuit but I could with this kit. I purchased the drum-tec acoustic package for $36, making the td-11 sound amazing. The itself was $850.

    My mesh heads have never been black from dust or dirt (same heads for 4 years), and I'm a heavy hitter. I am just curious how these mesh heads are black from dirt. Even my coated remo heads on my acoustic set don't get that black, thank you for the video for the cymbals btw. Didn't want to come off harsh, love your videos

    • @TheeDrumWorkshop
      @TheeDrumWorkshop  Год назад

      No worries! It's not to do with hitting hard, the marks are transferred from the rubber parts of my kit via the sticks. I'm not 100% sure what's causing it, to be honest! It didn't really used to be an issue so maybe I'm not buffing the 303 out well enough or something and there's a residue build-up or dust is sticking to it. I'll need to look into it!

      @Gamer-kn7fi 8 месяцев назад

      Well you shouldn't through them into a water but a bit of water on the outside of the cymbals shouldnt do anything there isn't much electronics in there and all that's there is under the rubber and should not get in contact with the water that way

  • @daztastic147

    I’ve also cleaned my mesh heads with soapy water and they come up like new, and… I’ll probably get banned from owning electronic drums for saying this.. but I’ve used glass cleaner and a clean microfibre cloth to clean my cymbals for the past two years and it works perfectly, and also seems to retain the deep black shine for very long periods 🤘🎵🎶

    • @TheeDrumWorkshop

      Interesting! I hope it doesn't dry the rubber out over time, but if it seems to be working, fair enough! I'm not an expert on what different products do to rubber, I just know that 303 has worked well for me and has been highly recommended!
