I can't believe there are people stupid enough to pay $300K for a Dodge, and also have $300K to spend ...
Believe it!
These dealers know that ( there is a sucka born everyday) it’s always going to be them I got it have people.
They just prove there actually is a sucker born every day.
$300k to spend on a car, buy several classic Corvettes that will appreciate
Cmon now with these prices you might as well get a true super car with a premium interior😂😂
Like I was told at a CDJR dealership one day, "These are big boy numbers." I laughed and walked out. Still holding out till I find a sane dealership. Keep doing what you're doing my friend. Some of us are listening.
How any rational person is willing to pay above sticker price is insane.
Idk what it is with 2024 bro but people became stupid
Most of these people arent buying these cars for themselves they buy them.either thinking they can flip them later or they buy them so they can show off to people they will never meet in real.life.
Even buying for sticker is not rational as prices are crazy. Like they say, the car is only worth what some is willing to pay although the worth is mainly for the buyer and not the subsequent buyer should it be sold.
Its crazy dude, i wouldnt want to be on that end of the deal when the market crashes.
Right look at the gt500 buyers who paid 55k Over sticker. They are dropping in price now tho
Between your experience with Dodge and my personal experiences with my local Jeep dealership, I'm done with that entire brand. Not doing it.
So am I Jeff, so am i.
After owning a scatpack for two months, and being in the shop 3 times now. I wouldn't give them 20k for any if them.
1)It was registered to someone at the dealership, then they made it seem like they bought it back, now it's a pre-owned vehicle. No money ever changed hands.
2) They said it was a loaner vehicle now they can sell it as pre-owned and take a write down on taxes at the end of 2024.
Love the channel!!
This is what is happening.
Happened with my wife's Bronco. we only figured it out when the tires wore out prematurely under manufacturer warranty but we were denied because the brand new Bronco was "pre-owned" and the tires had changed hands from the "previous owner" to us.... BTW we arrived right when the car had left the transport vehicle, we bought it before they even hit it with a state inspection. This is all pre-calculated with the dealership's best interest in mind. Scumbags.
CDJR dealerships are trapped in the Twilight Zone where Chargers and Challengers are worth more than super cars. For $300k you can buy a super car and a nice daily driver and have money leftover.
I'm pretty sure if I was going to spend that much money on a car, it wouldn't be a Dodge. Craziness is what that is.
70k for a scat pack is wild to me. These dealerships are greedy as hell
Theres some dealers that have them at 80-83k which is insane
Its called leave those prices on the car lot forever and let them go broke.
Remember just 4/5 years ago you could get a base Scat Pack for $40 Grand? This is why i would never buy a Dodge
You're the real source of consumer information. Keep it going OC congratulations on the new house.
I bought a Challenger Hellcat for under MSRP, and I am very happy with the dealership that I bought it from.
My most trusted source on RUclips. Thank you OC.
These prices for a Dodge are absolutely insane. Car community is actually laughing at buyers.
I don't own a Mopar, but enjoy your video. Last week my close friend bought a 2022 brand new challenger hellcat (leftover) he got $11k off msrp. I went with him to the dealer to pick it up.
Where can I find this dealership?
Glad i bought a '22 Tacoma when i did. Thx 4 the info, ppl tired of car dealers! I probably purchased close to 10 new vehicles in my life and it took me about till my 4th purchase till I realized how the system works
Thank you OC Motivator for the valuable content you provide.
Thank you OC motivator for all this information
Thanks for the update and keep doing what you do. My journey in the current market has taught me a lot of lessons, at the top of that list is that it never pays to live above one's means. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around $600k to a decent 7 figures in the space of a few months. Sad to say but a lot of us have poor money management skills. My 2 cents -get an advisor to keep you accountable and aid you make better decisions, John Preston has been helping me a lot, all through my journey. I find it better to pay a little bit more for peace of mind than worry about money or market trends and still get >burned...!!
Please how do I go about it, am still a newbie on investment trading and how can I make profit?🙏🙏
HE’S MOSTLY ON TELEGRAMS APPS WITH THE BELOW NAME.
@johnPtrader .....
Thanks for the information... I will contact him as soon as possible. I also want to gain good knowledge and stop losing.☺🙏👍
What impresses me most about John is how well He explains basic concept of winning before actually letting you use his trade signals. This goes a long way to ensure winning trades........👍👍
Never spending 300k on a dodge.
It’s funny because there was a Dodge ad before your video started. 😄
These cars are wants not needs, so I highly suggest if you don’t have the cash and can’t get a great deal, just walk away.
Their internet guy must be methin around 😂😂😂😂
It’s pretty hard to believe that people are paying these prices for a Dodge product acting like they are buying a Porsche or Lambo 😅 the difference between super cars and a dodge is the dodge doesn’t hold its value at all🤣 imagine paying 100-300k+ to drive it off the lot and have it immediately be worth Sub 50k
I saw a Super Bee with a $50k “market adjustment” mark up, price was $117k 😂 for something that only has 485hp to the crank 😂 Go get that Mustang GT, guys.
WOW amazing TY so much ,,Keep up the great work
Excellent advice!
Every business needs to make a profit to survive HOWEVER... price gouging is not only immoral but illegal in most states. Be sure to understand what you're buying and exactly why you're paying what the seller is asking. Nothing is final until you sign the documents, but ask all the right questions and be OK with the answers.
Be sure to punch it and smile when you leave!
I think price gouging can only happen on necessities like food or gasoline. On non-essentials, you just don't buy.
I watched bunch of your videos. The beginning point is absolutely true. There’s no reason a scat challenger should be so far away from like 40k-45k ish. Even then, slim bodies are a hard sell, people want the wide bodies. Here in Ohio, few dealers are showing / selling less than MSRP. I only look for manual trans ones and one dealer yesterday was selling a new 23’ slim body for 45k. So there’s definitely some getting the right idea, but it’s a waiting game.
I cant stop looking at your crooked rear arm rest...great videos.keep it up
Sh$&. Now it’s bugging me. lol.
I don't what kind of car these dealerships are selling, I wouldn't pay above sticker in any situation new or used vehicle whatever make or model. This is friggin insane.
Oc, have u ever checked out the cdjr in hemet California? I’m pretty sure they have about 4 or 5 demons for sale and also advertising hellcat redeyes for under msrp. It would be cool if you can call and see if they are being real with the pricing
Im really diggin the blue jacket with that shirt.
Just subscribed, keep exposing all of these vermin
When i purchased my 2023 Ram TRX it had 33 miles on it and it was used, what i was told was that people usualy buy hellcats and resell them to the delership for more money
Is 52k for a brand new scat pack good?
Did you click on the Carfax on any of those "used" King Daytonas with only 25 miles on them? I only checked the Carfax on one of them, but it said that it was previously a "Corporate" vehicle from Missouri. It even has a PDF of the original Window Sticker with a price of $100,015. So was the original owner another Crown dealer in Missouri? Are they playing "Musical Chairs' with the cars, by moving them from one dealer to another? Was it a Demonstrator? Very weird.
I understand that you are in California. I am in North Alabama, and for a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Jailbreak RWD, the MSRP is $82,451. It is unheard of here to pay the MSRP. Until I found your channel, I didn’t have any idea that charging over MSRP was even possible.
Tried to trade my hellcat charger for a trx and they wouldnt budge on msrp and gave me shit for my car. Went to chevy got 10k more on my trade in and 2k off msrp on a new zr2. Screw dodge. Never again will i buy from them.
I hope Dodges new inventory will bring back some normal prices. That last call inventory prices were through the roof. I’ll be glad when the new Chargers hit the lots.
Scatpacks in Michigan they around 45-60k
Autonation’s in Texas are pricing RT’s $10K below MSRP. Looking at $35K ish, seems like a hell of a deal although there is no negotiation from there when you buy. Thoughts?
Maybe the cheaper King Daytona has a few scratches on it. I am looking for a Black Ghost and I am living on the east coast. There isn’t a lot here , there a lot more offered on the west coast. I don’t know what to do.
hi OC motivator I’m new to your channel. Just wanted to let Demon 170 owners know and yourself being that you have one that your shock sensor wires are going to be hitting on the inside of your rims and causing a service damping on your dash I have a demon 170 I just purchased with 479 miles and I had that come up on my dash my right rear shock sensor wire was rubbing on the rim and it cut through the shock wire so just a heads up you guys doing a great job really like your motivational speaking and good luck demon 170 owner
These dealers are nuts . I found a dealer and picked up a loaded RT with sun roof, subwoofer, memory seats( not really needed) Alcantara vented seats . Silver with 20s .Sticker was 54 , got it for 45 . In south Florida that’s a good deal . Went in for a scat pack , but for 10k more I wasn’t getting a loaded car . So I sacrificed an extra 100 horses for more option and a few other things that you get with the scat , but I’m Happy .
If a dealership is listing a desirable car with delivery mileage as used, the car was delivered to a customer and the customer did not take delivery due lack of fiancé or pulled out of the deal due to additional market adjustments they did agree to. However, most likely the car was delivered to a straw buyer (an employee of the dealership) and put on the pre-owned market to avoid any potential problems with the agreement the dealership had with manufacturer.
I purchased my first and last Chrysler in 1988. A Plymouth Reliant for $1500 under asking price. Yes, I paid $5,300 for a K car.
It’s getting to the point of price insanity on the Demon 170. I would just buy an original B body 1960s MOPAR with a 440 for less money. Nothing beats the original
I wonder if the dealership is selling these high priced cars on consignment.
I appreciate the advice you giving but I would add that in 6 months or in the next couple of years - those cars will still be on the lot and reduced finally. And who would buy his used one for more than a new one at that time? So his will be worth even less than he thinks.
Crown NEEDS TO BE CROWNED, there insane
California Vehicle Code section 11713.1(e), when car dealers publish advertisements for cars and trucks, and those ads include asking prices, then the dealers are prohibited from selling the advertised vehicles for more than their advertised prices, unless the ads specifically list expiration dates
They never enforce it.
Those may be dealer to dealer purchases, titled to new dealer, and now considered pre owned 🤷🏻♂️
Thank God I bought my Scat in ‘21. I got it for $42k OTD and the dealer installed a katzkin leather interior…and they were happy to do so.
I test drove a Scat Pack 1320 and they gave an OTD price of under $60K.
Why did you get rid off your Demon?
I thought the msrp for a demon 170 was around 98k not 198k. at least that is what being offered to pre order.
200k for a redeye with a sticker is out of this world insanity
Hi. The dealership orders a car as sold to a particular customer (fake). When the car comes in, they report it sold & delivered to that fake customer. This gets it off their inventory as far as Stellantis is concerned. This action starts the warranty clock . That's why they have to sell as used.
Hellcat still selling between 92 ..100 grand zero discounts
These Dodge dealers have lost their minds😅😅😂😂 I will never pay that much for a Dodge product.
They have them priced as if it was a low mile ACR viper, that seems crazy to me
Fred Martin in Norton,Ohio has a 170 demon msrp 136k and they said we are not selling it at msrp and didn’t show what they want for it.
I'd say they should keep it then.😅
@@jcmfwb I’m a Chevy guy they can have it lol. That’s stupid money they all want anymore not getting it from me.
In Toronto Canada al dealers are only giving a factory discount of 5k
Thy really think that we think they buy them for 90% of the cost LOL
@1:40... The massive depreciation is great for those of us who buy on to two year old cars with 5k miles from private parties.
So I understood what you said about going to Carmax or Carvana but here’s the question. If you buy that dodge challenger charger. You drive off the lot and the next day you return to that lot what do they pay for that car to take it off your hands. There was a time an S class Mercedes at $100,000 driven off the lot and returned the following day took a hit of $20,000. Is that where we are with the performance brand of Dodge. Is that to hit. $20,000
Im sorry but do u see that markdown for the gt? It hilarious how no one wants the v6 ones. Id buy one fk it and some of them v6s come with awd lol.
The reason they are listed and pre-owned even though they are new is so they can jack up the price, because Dodge, Ford, and chevy said no to market adjustments on new cars
Dealers could get one king Daytona if they were even allocated any. My assumption is they bought those used vehicles from the auction or another dealer and paid over MSRP themselves therefore are asking more for the used vehicles
Thanks OC. I settled for a 2021 low mileage(11k) scat for 37k, glad I waited, did want to over spend on a new one. Lightly used is where the deals are!!
they are playing games on used demon 170s king Daytona ck the car fax , and look at how long they have had them , maybe they bought them at msrp or over sticker from other dealers to resale
TRUTH !!
👍👏☝️💪💪💪
I'd rather buy a brand new BMW with a V8 for less then 100k lol or put that money into real estate. Another great video OC ! Keep up the grind.. anyone we spits on your cars is a small human thats jealous with no balls. 🙏
How much are people really paying for scats on monthly payments? I can’t see myself paying more than 850 a month for a scat pack. I called a dealership that selling one for $60,000 and told him straight up that I did not want to pay more than 850 a month and have $15,000 down and he said that was going to be really hard and I still haven’t heard back from them
Let's suppose there was $5k worth of taxes and fees. So with your down payment, you would be financing $50k. Well $850 per month should be about right if you have decent credit history and are willing to accept 72 month terms. Sounds to me like whoever you spoke with is an idiot. Any smart salesman would have said something like, "Sounds reasonable. Come on in and we can sit down with you to discuss the details."
Check the registration. If it's used, it should have been registered by the previous owner. Porsche was/is doing this with their Tacan because the depreciation is falling like a rock. They list a new car as used to prop up the value of used because the customers/owners realize they are stuck with a car they bought for $130K and now it's barely worth $30K. See Geoff Buys Cars. I looked at a new car listed as used and when I asked about it they said the car was/is new and said it had never been registered.
Just looking at the carfax on those pre owned cars at Crown. Looks like they bought them new from other dealerships and now call them used.
Why are they marking these up this much? Does it go back in time or something?
One way that they can be new and have so few miles is as follows. Ok I decide to buy 5 of these cars and I’m going to export them to another country. But Dodge says you can’t export them and resell them. Since I don’t have an extra million laying around I unload them at an auction and a dealer buys them. They can’t sell them as new because they e been registered and licensed. Even though they weren’t driven. I found this out this past week on 5 cars that this happened to. The vehicles hag anywhere from from 2-25 miles on them. So the were selling them as used and offering a six year unlimited mile warranty at about the 2024 model prices.
In my mind dealerships that mark up cars like you mentioned have a BIG sign that says CLOSED. That's all I see.
some dealers are still trying to get $15 k on swingers
Brad, stick with all the awesome cars you already own! You don’t need another Mopar. As far as buying a used (at any mileage) Demon now, no way baby! I’m guessing most if not all of these special cars have been mistreated. Just my opinion. I’m just loving my loaded to the max 2023 Last Call B5 Blue Scat Pack Widebody! …“Living for today and hoping for tomorrow”
Hell at their prices you should be able to trade your 170 for a King Daytona with 100K back to you 🤣
Brad, if I didn’t know better I’d say that these dealers are holding on to these cars as their last chance at a big payday before they go out of business. Who in their right mind would own a Dodge dealership and establish relationships with their customers for all of these years only to turn around and use these Last Call vehicles to basically alienate and outrageously get over on people. It doesn’t make any sense. These cars will never reach these values, at any point in the future. I refuse to believe that all of these dealers have colluded against their customers thinking that they could get the money they’re asking for a Dodge. Maybe I’m dead wrong, but something is fishy. Look how good of a customer you’ve been to many of these dealers for the past several years, and they turned their back on you too. How could you so disloyal and bite the hand that feeds you. You are an advocate for all of the regular guys out there who are looking to buy their dream car. It must disgust you to try and go back and do business with people that were very honest, transparent, and negotiated in good faith with fair deals even less than two years ago. These guys are acting like they have the keys to the kingdom with these cars. But maybe they are actually going to turn out to be severance pay when Stellantis pulls the plug on Dodge and everyone is out of business. Based upon their future lineups, I can’t put anything past these guys. They’re like a sinking ship, sinking faster than the Titanic. Something tells me that they know that their time is up, and these Last Calls are their last stand. Why else would they commit brand suicide when they will never be able to save face with their loyal customers and try and sell the junk that nobody will want moving forward. Just one man’s opinion, but this really doesn’t make any sound and rational business sense.
They make some mean machines for sure. But who the hell - with a $300k-plus budget for a car - decides he wants to spend it on a Dodge? It's ridiculous.
Shouldn’t consumers be worried that a vehicle that’s a leftover is worth less than sticker ? Depreciation will hit said vehicles hard , I’ve seen 2020, 2021 , 2022 & 2023 models new sitting filthy at dealers . It’s funny because the quality is just not there
These challengers and chargers are cheap , plastic rental car quality. Depreciation should be factored , the dealers can’t move these vehicle because they are overpriced by far.
The money grab is over , dodge jeep ect have alienated their customer fan base. Executives love luxury cars not cheap rubbish. There is nothing luxury about these vehicles. If you take 35 percent off the msrp that’s what they are worth if that .
Maybe the “used” low milage muscle cars may me the way to keep Dodge corporate from coming down on them with these “new” car mark-ups because they are now used.
Hey I'm sure you're going to report tomorrow on the 2025 charger then get you up it's 12:00 Eastern Time tomorrow
I was telling my uncle Dan who worked for a Dodge dealership for years about your King Daytona situation, and he thinks for a few seconds and with a puzzled look says to me BID?👀
I've been watching a new 2022 scat pack at my local dealer. It has been on the lot for over a year now. The original markup was 83k. Eventually, he reduced it to the MSRP of 66k. After expressing interest, he said 59k out the door like he was giving me the deal of a lifetime 🤣. Love the car, but its just not worth 60k. These dodge dealers are smoking crack.
How any dealership could get away with asking 2 and 3 times more than what the car is worth is insane. I remember when 60 and 70k chargers were crazy a few years ago this is just plain ignorant
Love your 1 million and 800k discount , comment .
Not too sure how they could justify these crazy prices. Even worse are the ones who are o.k. with it. Oh well. Not my pocket
Oooooweeeee I’m def gonna wait till they are doing incentives on narrow body cats THERE IS SO MANY IN STOCK EVERYWHERE ITS A JOKE LOL
A local dealership had a 2020 Scat Pack widebody with less than 40 K miles for 40 thousand. Why anyone would pay 70 for a new one......nope😊
Most people that can afford 100k plus cars are not in the market for a damn dodge! They've forgotten who buy their cars the average working man not the wealthy.
I was curious on the Carfax reports on the pre-owned challengers and one is out of Odessa, Mo., there's one from San Antonio, TX. Then one was bought in Arizona, and it was registered in Montana. Seems like your fishy feeling is probably on the right path. I think there are dealers that are in other places flipping them for a profit. I don't know why Crown in California thinks they are going to get those prices, but with California and their emissions may be the dealer thinks people are going to pay that insane price since Dodge killed them. I am going to hazard a guess that they will still have them a year from now. With the money of actor's, musician's, and other wealthy people in California that is Crown's target. However the Missouri dealership probably needed to get it off the lot because here in the Midwest, I am one state over to the west of Mo. People are struggling to make ends meat. The living paycheck to paycheck is affecting every middle to low income families in all states. I'm not saying everyone is, but there is also people who have the income. Yet, even though they have that income if they have to finance that thing at current rates they bulk at the monthly payment. Then you look at Stellantis quality and say nope I can wait. I don't see that this will be the complete end of i.c.e. cars, but I see a path to hybrids and different fuel types. CNG, LPG, and there could be a relaxation on some of the EPA regulations. Hell who knows might not be in my lifetime, and I am 46. I know one thing I am going to drive my truck tell it's dead. I will replace it with a used gas model if some a-hole doesn't get this cash for gasser's moto if your buying an electric vehicle. Hopefully we don't relive the Obama era of cash for clunkers where dealerships ran a solution in the engine until it locked up or blew up. Enough of my rant, but I at least agree with you that dealer is asking what they want for the car instead of hoodwinking you so you go home crying. Hopefully because you ran when you heard the b.s. price, not because you paid it.
If these dealerships are willing to take advantage of you for all to see, imagine their morales behind closed doors with your car. How honest are they with repairs or charges?
If they're used, then there would be a record of them paying the sales tax - otherwise they defrauded the state - turn them in for tax evasion...
I purchased my 2023 Durango RT tow and go $15000.00 off msrp.
Crazy they are marking them up 2.5x to 3x the msrp and some idiots are willing too pay it .......
“Greed is good”
