for those of you who are wondering where Eclipse is as of right now it is blocked across the country due to the SESAC music licensing situation. it is not to be found anywhere on RUclips including many other favorites. this all started on September 28th
The initial working title for the album was "Dark Side of the Moon", but was briefly changed to "Eclipse: A Piece For Assorted Lunatics", after Pink Floyd got wind that the British blues rock band Medicine Head had also named its 1972 album Dark Side of the Moon. Once the Medicine Head album came and went with no chart impact, however, Pink Floyd decided to go back to the original title. "Brain Damage" is definitely about mental health issues, and at least another of a few songs inspired by the loss of Syd Barrett.
Yes you are correct is turning crazy is about Syd Barret who went crazy in a concert he began playing one note only for 10 minutes after that he was admitted to a lunatic house. Dark side is a album dedicated to him.
for this I had to change my sound into mono cos I couldnt hear the otherside the right side sax came in very low I could hardly hear it. in mono I could hear it.
All Pink Floyd albums are drop the needle track one and let it play out, as are albums like Supertramp's Crime of the Century, Jethro Tull's Aqualung, any Elton John in the 70's and the list goes on.

@@MusicforBusyPeople Sorry, 'SESAC' ??? Must confess I bought my last album about 25 years ago, only got back to REALLY listening and exploring on YT. I guess many use it as a 'try before you buy' tool, so they probably lose as many album sales as they gain?
@@grahamharley4895 SESAC is one of those orgs that make sure songwriters get their royalties when their songs are used. YT makes $ from ad revenue & premium subscriptions, and I guess they don't want to share a big enough chunk.

"Final Cut" wasn't P.F. all Roger with the album cover is credit " Music perform by P.F". No one individual got credit for anything.
