"Is that what you think, Mr Wright?"
"Is that what you think, Mr Wright?"
"Is that what you think, Phoenix?"
Omg gave me a good laugh
When?
16:50 this one as well, oh my our classic bluffing Phoenix Wright! xD
10:38
LOL
Phoenix Wright is a gem, need to replay the games when I get a chance
Apollo's used to having defence attorneys he trusted turn out to be murderers. He learned from Kristoph and didn't hold back accusing Athena with the evidence he had.
@AntiVillain1 06:17 adds to that as well.
I heard that a lot of people got angry at Apollo for indicting Athena without giving a motive. Except, as Apollo himself points out... Why is that all that important? He's a Phoenix Wright fanboy, so he knows, from Phoenix's own cases, like Dahlia, Luke Atmey and even goddamn Frank Sawhit and Redd White , that there are killers who don't even know their victims all that well. People that died to these killers had never even heard of them or even spoken to them at any point.
Of course Apollo is jossing the idea of a motive for Clay's death. Some people don't NEED one.
Also pointed out; Apollo kept picking up 'twitches' from Athena every time she saw the utility knife to the point where he cover his eye to ignore it.
There was a lot of evidence that was pointing towards to Athena being the killer from Apollo's point of view however he also believed that she wasn't the killer as such he wanted those doubts to be brushed away which why he challenge Phoenix to prove him wrong and clear the doubt.
Which Phoenix did; he prove to Apollo that Athena wasn't the killer and that someone else was.
After all; just blindly trusting someone is very dangerous...
Sometimes we need those doubting moments to make sure that the trust is deserved or not and reveal the truth.
ThatGuyfromBrazil That is false for those cases you mentioned. In the case of Red White, the said guy has heard of Mia Fey and her info gathering on his dealings which involved with blackmail.
You clearly have forgotten those details or just didn’t play those Ace Attorney games that has those cases shown.
@@AntiVillain26845 OBJECTION! Phoenix is not a forger. HE'S just a very very very very stubborn defense attorney
Well, Mia did get too close to the truth

@@iwantmyfaithinhumanityback6015 yea narimitsu. But *Narumitsu* still won
in this essay i will prove that phoenix wright and contradictions are in love...
*N a r u m i t s u*
This is why I like Apollo. He wants to believe in his friend, but because of doubt, he can't, so instead of just bottling it up and pretending things are all buddy buddy, he tackles it head on, despite wanting to desperately believe in Athena.
Ikr! Its what makes him feel so human
that's why apollo is the best character in the series
It's good that instead of making him phoenix wright's clone they made him a different and good character
@@Mr.bluer9999 Peronally, I dont ship any of them because the relationships feel stronger if they're platonic. Simon and Athena really feel like a older brother and younger sister dynamic, especially considering how they grew up and how old simon already was when he would help athena. Apollo and Athena don't quite give me "romance" either. They really feel like a solid friendship, which is perfect because it shows Apollo isn't alone even after his closest friend died. And I think that's what the game was trying to imply with the two of them. The way they talk to each other is a bit reminiscent of Phoenix and Maya to me.
Idk, I guess I just dont see the need to ship any of these characters you mentioned, their friendships feel written just as strong if not stronger.
@@s2sHoXXs2 Yeah, You're right…I just heard that a lot of people hates Apollo, just because of he accused Athena of suspicion instead of always protect her just like Phoenix and Blackquill. It's too unfair for him…😔

HIGH! That's really high up!
Gee, why is everyone hating on Apollo? If something like that happened to my best friend, I'd be at the throats of anybody suspicious, even if it could be another friend.
And it's not like he WANTED Athena guilty, but he had no idea who else it could be. that's why he eventually went to Phoenix with this: he wanted him to get rid of that doubt!
Give the poor guy a break. He asked for a punch to make up for it
+MadCapster Except Phoenix just proved Athena's innocence, with an assistance from Blackquill. That was inexcusable.
In addition, it was like everyone in game was forgetting that Apollo lost someone very dear to him. Not just his best friend, but a best friend who was pretty much the only family he had left. Aura was the only one who acknowledged that.
+Harper Oelfke When did _Aura_ acknowledge that? She never cared about anything but Metis, Simon, and taking Athena down for something she didn't even do.
Don't you remember her giving Apollo special treatment during the investigation? She kicked out Trucy and Phoenix, but not Apollo. And she also explained things because *he* was the one asking. Heck, even in this video, you can see that.
They both lost someone very important to them.
Indeed, I guess some people can't accept that doing the right thing does not always entail being nice

I adore the judge's character development. He's become smarter, more observant and more experienced (well obviously lol). I think its like he never used his brain before phoenix showed up. Then the influence of ppl who wanted to pursue the deepest truth shaped him a lot. Now he even raises very valid questions himself before either side and he is quicker to comprehend the implications. I love our judge.
True, the judge is definitely up my Top 10 characters.
@@meiliholic1497 That's... actually a very profound way of looking at the judge.

xD that just made my day
This was supposed to be a serious case because Apollo turned on them since it was a personal thing he had to go through, but this made my day and I'm glad he's back to his old self.
That, totally made my day.
Hmm... I just wondered about the money Apollo gets
Lol, he even accused Kristoph his first mentor of murder, im pretty sure he had all of the balls of steel to do that
Wow I just realized how they got Bobby's name.
Bob is a nickname for Robert.
And he *Robbed* us of *Brightness* that created the Dark age of Law.
And he also Fooled us. Which sounds like *Ful*
Bobby Fulbright.
Well I guess Simon's nickname to dear Bobby was a a little guide to tell us this. : P
Though I must say I'm happy to see that Dual Destinies has name significance like all the other games have had too.
Full bright = The amount of light that shines in someone's face to nullify their facial features.
You think other characters have some kinda name significance too?
I can think of Blackquill
Simon Blackquill
Simon= the fact that he persuades people to do his bidding like in Simon Says
Blackquill= He's black, and there's Taka who has quills (I think)
GBAer64 Cykes = Psycology
Ted Tonate = Detonate
Candice Arme = Can disarm
Robin Newman = Becoming a new man
Clay Terran = Clay is a earth element, Terra is latin for earth
Think of other games too.
For example: Luke Atmey = Look at me.
He committed crimes for attention.
Never thought the sad puppy-eyes and finger-poking would bring me so much rage... The insincerity of it kills me.
Athena being tried twice in one game...
She might break Maya's record at this rate.
Don't forget Juniper. I think she's gonna get lots of accusations in this game.
I think Maya takes the cake easily lmao
Accused of killing Mia
Accused of killing someone again in Game 2, case 2
Kidnapped in Game 2, case 4
Framed for murder again in Game 3, case 5
Was temporarily assumed dead as well in Game 3, case 5

Apollo's accusation of Athena reminds me of Luke's accusation of Maya in PLvsAA. When you lose someone you care about, you're blinded by emotions and can't think straight.
Really? All it reminds me is that Apollo is a douchebag. Instead of going straight up to Athena and ask: ''Hey girl... You know when you said you never saw such a knife? My bracelet got all tight and it only does when someone lies. What's up with that?'' But no. He's a douchebag, so he investigates behind her back and indicts her to find ''the truth'' which he could've been uncovered in a more elegant way. Not the greatest token of friendship there is, I like Athena, but AA would've been better of if Apollo never existed.
Mindonthemoon Says a Athena cosplayer
Logan Hamilton lolwut?
***** This fallacy (giving in to emotions) is so omnipresent that drawing parallels hardly makes any sense.
Mindonthemoon If Apollo didn't exist, a lot of things would go to 'Bye-Bye World'. We wouldn't know who Trucy's mom and sibling is. We wouldn't discover how Nick got stripped off of his badge, and wouldn't be able to retry and discover the truth to that case. We also wouldn't know who Kristoph Gavin and Klavier Gavin is.
Basically, without Apollo Justice, we wouldn't be commenting on this video right now, because it won't exist. :l

Aura Blackquill and Franzsica von Karma should get together and form a support group for angry, violent women.

It's sad. They finally got something good to replace Gumshoe (because let's face it, everybody hates Ema), and there you go... Personally I don't believe the twist was that good because it was poorly laced together and sorta comes up late with no apparent reason other than to create a plot twist just for the sake of creating a plot twist.
Mindonthemoon
I have to disagree. Initially I feel the same, but it then makes a lot sense since the beginning of the game. Detective bobby, at his position, is able to closely watch Mr.Blackquill so that his physical profile will not leak. He is leading detective, so he can plant bombs on that very day, stolen evidence bomb remote and moon stone, and nonetheless fabricate lighter evidence and finger prints, secure emergency ladder. The masterpiece is that he is able to make every necessary move which can be interpret as meaningful to his position: leading investigating, manage evidence, secure space centre and warning Aura about explosion. This also explained why the bombs are planted at 2F - just so he has an excuse to go to 4F to warn others. If anything is missing, it was his knowledge of spacesuit. However, he is a spy after all, guess he had all information he needs.
That's classic detective stories for you.
Lol

When Apollo wears Clay's Jacket he's a way cooler character. This game focused on him so much it made him way more than a mere Phoenix Wright clone. Also that smirk man.... Shades of his mentor Kristoph Gavin. I know if Apollo ever wore that jacket again people better watch out lol

What Apollo said reminded me of what Chiaki said in the 3rd trial: ‘I do doubt her but I still want to believe her. Belief lies at the heart of that conflict. Cause, if there’s no room for doubt, then there’s no reason to believe, is there? If you want to believe in someone you need to overcome doubt first. Belief without doubt is simply a lie.’
Who else was emotionally devastated with the phantom's twist? We spent the whole game interacting with him and now he's going to testify, having a new sprites for when he's cornered and even get his own breakdown
Finally. The prison couldn't afford any more shackles. And the hostages are free. So That's one crisis out of the way. Time to bring another 7 year old mystery to an end.

It's kinda funny that Apollo was compared to a devil numerous times in these games (especially in "Spirit of Justice", where he was given a nickname "Horned Devil"), and in this situation he's actually playing devil's advocate in its original sense. The "advocatus diaboli" (or "promotor fidei") used to be a position in Catholic church. This person argued against the canonization of a candidate in order to uncover any flaws or misrepresentation. His objective was to make the opposing side (advocatus dei) strenghten its case, to bring more valid reasons in favor of canonization etc. Apollo and Phoenix act as advocatus diaboli and advocatus dei respectively, with both of them willing to prove that Athena is innocent, but taking opposite sides to achieve this shared objective.
Because his mentor was a Devil, That make sense.

AAAAWWWW SHIEEEET!!!! APOLLO SNAPPED!!!! Ya know, I'm surprised Phoenix and Apollo don't drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or smoke weed for the mess they have to go through
That just shows how strong mentally they are.
Hey, I give them a hand clap for it. Hell, I smoke cigarettes, and I started over a death. They're still goin strong, so I applaud them for it. I'm still one of their biggest fans :D
Agrael9996 is a douchebag lol. You should've known better than to mention drugs on an ace attorney video, because there's always some nerd with vastly superior intellect just waiting to make a condescending comment.
aTittyKitty No. You are.
In Instant Ramen we TRUST
i see what you did there
he’s a detective
he got cut salary
I can't believe that the detective was dead this entire time and his imposter is the Phantom
Apollo makes Kristoph's pose during his cross examination and that's a sick ass detail
I have a new hair joke!!
When Apollo said, "I couldn't ignore the seed of doubt growing inside me", I thought, " Maybe that seed sprouted and turned into your hair." I feel bad now, but I think it's too funny not to mention. (It really does look like a sprout of a plant though...)
Lol that's actually pretty good
tana taryn I mean HE is a pepper
34:30 Aura: "Well, I suppose I can trust you to clean up the rest of that shit for me."
Edgeworth: "Ehm... Thanks..."

Well, you're none of the above. Fulbright aka Phantom
40:02 He obtained those wounds two days ago and he's already taking off his bandages?!
When Fulbright was accused I literally paused the video and walked around my neighborhood saying what. I came back and still couldn’t believe it...
I swear, Blackquill petting his hawk is the cutest thing
