- This is a bit of a different type of objection.lol video as it's not based on an actual convo, but once I saw @augusttheduck's video, "This woman doesn't believe in the sky." I couldn't resist making a video off of it.
With that being said, this video is based off @augusttheduck's commentary on a lady who think the sky is fake. Some of the points Phoenix and Edgeworth make are based off of August's own words, and well, the flat earther is of course based on the lady he's covering. Link to his channel and his video below.

Video: • This Woman Does Not Be...
Pheonix Wright now has to defend what he thought he never would, the existence of the sky. Will he be able to prove the flat earth community wrong? Or will he become a part of it himself? Yes, this part is weird and kinda cringe, but I thought it was funi.

Imagine actually believing the sky exists, couldn't be me
...
Yep! It's an ontological illusion. We wouldn't live well if we decided there was such a thing as "the sky" and then had to handpick which particles are part of it, which particles are not part of it, and where the boundaries are at different times for when they become a part of the sky or not. We should just accept the fact that there are aerial molecules reasonably close to us at many different distances, and stop bothering about whatever the sky could be.
So ur saying it doesn't exist...?
Objection!! Blasphemy.

Even with my limited knowledge of the Ace Attorney franchise (as of typing this), even I can tell this is probably the biggest lawyer tag team fans have probably wished could happen.
It honestly started happening pretty early in the franchise in some ways (not like this where he just goes to stand with phoenix).
It first happened in the third case in the first game, where he gets so fed up with the bs of his witness (the murderer), that he started questioning her as if on the defence so Wright could win the case. Since in the end, all he caree about was the truth.
Spoilers for other games below:
In the second game, he's a close ally working together with phoenix in the final case, having to be prosecutor again but working together to stall the trial.
In the third game, I think you end up playing as Edgeworth for a section, since he's filling in for Phoenix who's in the hospital.

Another argument that sky exists:
Sky is an atmosphere. It protects us from space radiation, gives us oxygen to breathe and it keeps the warmth from the sun inside the Earth. If it didn't exist... Humanity would either suffocate from lack of oxygen, died from radiation emitted from the sun, or froze to death. But the most important thing is that this video wouldn't exist as well.
Then that woman would argue that the sun is part of the screen.

The sad thing is that there are people who genuinely believe this
Eh, I deem it better to leave them be. The solar system and all it contains will function whether people believe in it or not. You really need to be worrying about people who are misinformed in ways that change behavior tangibly. Anti-vaccination movements for example (though there are certainly cases to avoid under-tested vaccines, for instance).
I’m now confused how the tv screen would be so big it could wrap around the earth.
Hell why dont we see the base of the monitor. It cant be the endless black void of space because it goes way beyond the "tv screen"
And even so, it would all have to be powered, as well as the creators having to have a model for the sky in the first place, as well as keeping this sky perfectly consistent with human actions such as fireworks or space launches.
Conspiracy theories aren't known for being well thought out
Don't Tell him about The lasgegas sphere
Have yall heard of a Dison Sphere? (I'm misspelling it.)
Theoretically a superstructure that could support its own weight could be built around a celestial body. Its parts would be held equidistantly from the center of mass if its structure was strong enough, keeping it from crashing into Earth. This was proposed originally to put around the Sun, with solar panels inside to capture energy, turning the Sun into humanity's personal battery with close to 100% efficiency.
Yes, this is outlandish, but perhaps possible in a few hundred or thousand years if humanity leveraged a ridiculous amount of resources from space.

Suing the sky for not existing... Well, yeah it's not even a physical item so you can't do anything even if it does exist. If she's right though and the sky she's suing doesn't exist... What happens then? You can't exactly gain any prizes from something that doesn't even properly exist.
[Also fun fact, I remember in the Simpsons Movie, part of the main plot was the town was trapped in a dome. They'd be living in an actual glass dome though as opposed to a magic firmament thing like Flat Earth suggests.]

According to Schrödinger, if something is not observed, it remains in all possible states until observed. If the sky does not exist, then it is not being observed. Therefore the sky is in a state of not existing and existing at the same time, meaning we should assume both are true. If both are true, then we can assume that the sky only half exists. If half of the sky exists, then the sky must be in existence for only half to exist. As a result, if the sky exists, then it exists. Also, if the sky does not exist, then it is not being observed- meaning that it exists.
This is literally my first exposure to Ace Attorney (beyond articles and advertisements in Nintendo Power magazine). This was just in the recommended video list. I am already intrigued.

as far as we know, TVs don't have cameras, and even if it were some SOTA technology, then wouldn't we see it?
and if you would suggest they use clouds, then that's impossible since clouds are not transparent and they wouldn't be able to watch us from the TVs screen as for the same reason.

I thought this was going to be a pedantic argument like with “is water wet?” Where the idea is whether “the sky” technically qualifies as “existing” since it’s technically a collection of phenomena we recognize as “the sky” but might not technically be a physically existing thing. “The atmosphere is the sky” would be an argument included with somebody trying to argue differently.

Ah, I thought this was going to be about a semantic argument over whether “the sky” can be said to refer to an existing thing, or whether it just refers to an apparent thing which “doesn’t exist”. Like, people say that there is “nothing where a rainbow seems”, meaning that our perception of a rainbow is kind of an illusion, and that while there appears to be a thing at a particular location, this location depends on where we are, not on there being something which “is a rainbow” at that location,
Similarly, one might argue that “the sky” refers to the *apparent* dome that it looks as if there is,
and that, while the atmosphere exists, “the sky” does not, and is instead like a rainbow.
(Though personally, I think I would take the position that both the rainbow and the sky “exist” in some sense, the sky more-so than the rainbow.)
