I would like to add something. The Nutra-loaf. No documented person in the entire world said that they enjoyed eating it. B. It is used in prisons as a punishment because it is that bad. C. And the biggest one of them all people are saying it is violating constitutional rights that this is a cruel and unusual punishment for making prisoners eat this.
Granted, it sounds gross, but I'd rather that than spiders/bugs/larvae/mice/rats/the entire video ngl, like I wouldn't willingly eat it but it sounds much better than _spiders_
There's also a dish that I forgot the name but it's both an Inuit delicacy and an emergency food when winter is too rough. It's 100-200 birds put in the empty carcass of a seal, which is then closed. They let it for months and once they opened it they can eat the birds's meat and drink any liquid that was produced. It apparently tastes like old wine or old cheese (the edible ones). I'll respect this dish, because it was used to feed people in times of need and a lot lived thanks to it but I wouldn't personnally be able to eat it. I respect the history behind it tho.

As much air as possible is removed from the seal skin before it is sewn up and sealed with seal fat, which repels flies. Over the course of three months, the birds ferment, and are then eaten during the Arctic winter, particularly on birthdays and weddings."

Balut is cleaner and better than any of those mentioned foods and you actually help farmers control the number of ducks they had. Ducks keep reproducing till they die, if they don't dispatch the eggs soon it's going to hatch into more ducks. 18 Day old Balut has a good taste, if you dislike eating the chick you can toss the egg white containing it and go for the yolk. The yolk and amniotic fluid in the egg tastes well if you mix it with salt and some vinegar with spices.
Here is one. Roasted pig brain, which is not so good, but still not quite disgusting. As for bugs, which have a lot of calories, should taste rather surprising when fried. Have not tried them yet, although i sure will the first time i have an opportunity to do so.

Regarding taste, it is somewhat similar to the taste of a small piece of beef that has been completely fried/roasted, so my guess would be other insects might taste like that if fried. People say insects have more calories per gram than meat, so it is definitely worth trying them.

You *can* have maggot cheese, it's a real thing that is made in France. I know someone who went there and tried it, I've seen pictures. You have to block your nose while eating in case any maturing larva try to jump into a nostril.
