There's also a dish that I forgot the name but it's both an Inuit delicacy and an emergency food when winter is too rough. It's 100-200 birds put in the empty carcass of a seal, which is then closed. They let it for months and once they opened it they can eat the birds's meat and drink any liquid that was produced. It apparently tastes like old wine or old cheese (the edible ones). I'll respect this dish, because it was used to feed people in times of need and a lot lived thanks to it but I wouldn't personnally be able to eat it. I respect the history behind it tho.

to be honest it tastes great, it's just funky egg. kinda hate the white part because it gets hard (like chicken cartilage) though. i understand why ppl don't like it but if you can get a piece where the chick isn't developed much yet and doesn't take up 50% of what's inside, it's good.

If anything, being scared of tarantulas then eating them would, in a way, be a huge power move.

Fried tarantulas are very good. They can sometimes be a bit soft and chewy but I like them. My father would sometimes have dead tarantulas in the freezer to fry later
I'd try fried tarantula. Would definitely be extremely hesitant at first, but I'd probably go ham afterwards, especially since I like chicken and fish.

Balut is cleaner and better than any of those mentioned foods and you actually help farmers control the number of ducks they had. Ducks keep reproducing till they die, if they don't dispatch the eggs soon it's going to hatch into more ducks. 18 Day old Balut has a good taste, if you dislike eating the chick you can toss the egg white containing it and go for the yolk. The yolk and amniotic fluid in the egg tastes well if you mix it with salt and some vinegar with spices.

In defence of Stargazy pie (as a Brit): You’re not expected to eat the heads, they’re just decorative. The fish are also gutted and deboned prior to being put in the pie (butterflied most likely). It’s perfectly safe to eat, it’s just a regular fish pie minus the decoration. Don’t blame us, blame Cornwall.

Here is one. Roasted pig brain, which is not so good, but still not quite disgusting.
As for bugs, which have a lot of calories, should taste rather surprising when fried. Have not tried them yet, although i sure will the first time i have an opportunity to do so.

Hmmm the pig brain sounds interesting. As for my experience with bugs, I have eaten ants only (dish from Colombia). Since they are small, they become all crunchy, so it is like eating fries. Regarding taste, it is somewhat similar to the taste of a small piece of beef that has been completely fried/roasted, so my guess would be other insects might taste like that if fried.
People say insects have more calories per gram than meat, so it is definitely worth trying them.
I think where i'm from people would eat that tho i'm not sure cuz we eat dogs regularly

I made an AU for Ace Attorney where every other Sunday, if there isn't a case scheduled for that day, all the characters _and_ the judge gets together in the courthouse, with the audience watching.
And they semi-seriously debate stupid crap and get unnecessarily mad at each other.
Because the judge was bored at the serious atmosphere of the courthouse.

You *can* have maggot cheese, it's a real thing that is made in France. I know someone who went there and tried it, I've seen pictures. You have to block your nose while eating in case any maturing larva try to jump into a nostril.

Balut is pretty messed up tbh, my brother was eating a bunch with one of my cousins for protein (I think) and he felt so bad. My cousin, who provided him with balut, told him not to think about it to much.

Honestly surprised hakarl wasn't mentioned(had to look up the name). It's made by burying a dead shark and leaving it for weeks. Also the sharks are apparently poisonous too.
Balut is actually duck though and its actually good if like you close your eyes and swallow fast, if your unluky if there's bones you have to pick it off, there is an alternative less disgusting one though here its penoy balot, there no baby duck in it, it unfrtilized and its just like a regualr boiled egg. I always go for the penoy one its just better for my conscience but its nothing like the regular balut which is sad but id rather not eat a baby unborn duck.
