Of course my boy Kazuma Asogi is the best , he’s one of the only prosecutors that actually care about the truth and not just winning cases for money and fame . Plus he’s Naruhodo’s best friend so bonus points for that .

The funny thing is. At the very start I predicted it to be payne. He (and his extended family) are frequent prosecutors and honestly aren't too bad as head prosecutors. Better than 2 literal criminals, a woman who will attack everyone in the court, a man who has thrown away cases before, and a man who literally ignored his brother breaking the law
1 literal criminal and 1 who did _technically_ commit murder but may or may not have gotten off for it due to situational technicalities. Godot killed Misty Fey to prevent Dahlia Hawthorn, who was being channeled by Misty Fey, from killing Maya Fey in a locked room with no escape route and no other option. So, at least in the US localization (which is treated as taking place in California, not Japan), Godot could argue justified homicide as a defense and it most likely would be successful.

I love "Sebastion Debeste," but Eustice Winner is great too. Spoilers: Debeste is first ironic bc he's garbage, then at least is motivation to become better at the end. For Eustice Winner, at first it's Useless Whiner, but then at the end it becomes "Use This, Winner." which fits his role in helping Edgeworth at the end
