This is a really small detail, but I really like that they show the scene transitions. Some videos cut that stuff out, or put something over it, but I like seeing everyone move the set pieces and stuff. That may just be because I was a huge theatre nerd in high school but still
The transitions are so clever! The flashing lights when the lantern is about to fall made it just like the games! And the part with the video footage made me laugh.
If it were in game, I can only imagine the low res CG models (like the ones in the second game of the original trilogy). That would make it even more hilarious.

I've been reading the comments recently and some of you are wondering if I'll translate the other stageplays so here's an explanation of sorts! There are currently 4 Ace Attorney stageplays in existence: Turnabout Spotlight, Farewell My Turnabout, Turnabout Teleportation and Turnabout GOLD MEDAL. I have done Spotlight and Teleportation so far, and I know someone who's working on Farewell My Turnabout right now, so let's be patient and it'll appear when it does! Odd that this was recommended to me at 6am, but while I have very little knowledge and experience with AA, I am interested in it since it crossed over with Layton. So I'm slowly getting into it, even though I'm about a decade behind. I notice the Wiki doesn't mention anything of these plays, so do I assume they're amateur productions or more professional? Either way this is cool and I'll keep an eye out for the others! I also have yet to see the film so I guess I'm diving into this rabbit hole tomorrow!

The guy acting as the worker backstage was acting being constantly anxious and scared of everything so well, I'm amazed he didn't have a heart attack by the end of the play lol

I'm late but in case someone's curious about this, the name of the third rope (1:18:38) is actually "Imperator Caesar Divi Filius Augustus-tsuna"! The Latin part was an honorific title attributed to Augustus aka Octavian, the first emperor of the Roman empire (that's why the rope is nicknamed "the Emperor"), while the Japanese "tsuna" at the end is a reference to the previous two names Tsunatarou and Tsunayoshi; all puns on the word "綱 (tsuna)" which literally means "rope". I've been reading the comments recently and some of you are wondering if I'll translate the other stageplays so here's an explanation of sorts!
There are currently 4 Ace Attorney stageplays in existence:
Turnabout Spotlight, Farewell My Turnabout, Turnabout Teleportation and Turnabout GOLD MEDAL.
I have done Spotlight and Teleportation so far, and I know someone who's working on Farewell My Turnabout right now, so let's be patient and it'll appear when it does! I'll link it in this comment when it's uploaded.
Turnabout GOLD MEDAL (yes it's stylised like that) is the most recent one, I have watched it and I would like to clip some moments, but I don't have the energy to do a full translation right now. If anyone wants to do it they're more than welcome to!
Also sorry but I don't take translation requests! This is just something I do when I get artblocked apparently, plus it's kinda weird when I rely on someone else to sub it into Chinese first. Maybe one day when my grasp of Japanese is good enough to let me understand without needing subs haha

Odd that this was recommended to me at 6am, but while I have very little knowledge and experience with AA, I am interested in it since it crossed over with Layton. So I'm slowly getting into it, even though I'm about a decade behind.
I notice the Wiki doesn't mention anything of these plays, so do I assume they're amateur productions or more professional?
Either way this is cool and I'll keep an eye out for the others!

I'm late but in case someone's curious about this, the name of the third rope (1:18:38) is actually "Imperator Caesar Divi Filius Augustus-tsuna"! The Latin part was an honorific title attributed to Augustus aka Octavian, the first emperor of the Roman empire (that's why the rope is nicknamed "the Emperor"), while the Japanese "tsuna" at the end is a reference to the previous two names Tsunatarou and Tsunayoshi; all puns on the word "綱 (tsuna)" which literally means "rope".
