Wow. How quickly things can change. In your own words when my uncle passed away, thank you for the real feelings. I have just finished bidding on haulage contracts YELLOW is dead! My company is now going to Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi via Florida out of my Georgia yard. I have been so busy Alex, you know I'm basically Maine to Florida, but that revenue is just too sweet. I had to take the General Lee to visit my uncle's grave today because ALL my trucks are getting maintenance or rolling. in 30 days bro comes 5 new Kenworth T680 2024 bringing me to a dozen. I still have 5 2020 and we have hired some CFI & U S Express drivers. We're nearly doubled our driver team. It's been all an up hill fight but, one I never gave up on. I told my uncle at his grave, we might just double last year's revenues. I'm going to go watch your other videos, keep them coming keep safe Alex.

I did a road trip and it was 16-17 hours and the first way to destination I stopped at a hotel on the way, going back I didn’t I did it in one trip. I also realize I can’t sleep I literally drove on no sleep and was scared a bit because I tried to take sleeping pills that didn’t even work. I was hyper aware man I tell you. I left on the way back one trip because I felt I wasted money on a hotel to sleep the first way there but didn’t. I did the trip back on no sleep left at 3:30 in morning reached at destination at 8:20. I have only two years of driving experience and I did it. One thing I got out of the experience was truckers need to be paid more way more than what they are and they need there own lanes.
Thanks to all the truckers that keep this country running. I also do my best not to cut them off and if I get in front of them I speed like bat out of hell and I never drive beside them. 😂 if it comes to who wining I will always be the loser.
I love the idea of trucking to be able to go where ever and see across Canada and be by urself but at the same time meet new people and move on, but from experience from recent trip I wouldn’t be able to sleep so it’s a no for me. 😢 and I can’t do traffic. I cannot will not set in traffic for hours. That’s why I left early coming back beat the heavy traffics.

Trucked for over a decade. Early years enjoyed the Freedom,Pay,and open Road. Learned from the "Old Schoolers", who preached you have too be good too yourself on the Road. Time before all the Monitoring, and Tech. Got out before the Driver became the # on the hood of his Truck rather than being a Person. Work in an ICU unit at a Hospital in Ithaca NY now. Often think of the Road and a Time when just getting it there, without all the nonsense Companies put on a driver mattered most. Keep it between the Ditches Truckers. I rhetorically asked the question a few videos back, what is he going to do if they give him a 600 mile over night run to deliver at 6am? We got our answer a couple videos back, he showed up 2 hour late.

@@scottied67I wanna say that if you tell your company what time you usually plan on waking up and going to sleep they can work with you. But also this ain't a perfect industry and, as an example, I run 6am to 6pm. And I've had loads that don't pick up until noon or drop off until super late. In those cases I just go about my day and stop whenever I'm getting relatively close to where my delivery is.
