Speaking the truth. I try to keep my sleep schedule around the same time but there's been plenty of loads that don't pick up until really late so I'm forced to adapt. You get used to it but yeah Alex is wild.

Throw those pee bottles away very nasty yes you can have them but pour out and spray some bleach to keep smell away.
That's what I do. I sometimes pee in empty soda cups, dump them out as I leave a truck stop or am cruising down a freeway on ramp. But my more "permanent jugs" get emptied the same way (or behind the trailer in some grass while doing my pre-trip). Then I rinse with some water, and spray with some Lysol. I've had the same pee jugs for months!!
Alex. After two years of OTR you still make Rookie mistakes. Who tf backs thru an entire truck stop parking lot? How have you not been able to improve on your backing? If people see your vids they would swear your still a Rookie fresh out of Cdl school
Have only just recently found this channel and thought he’d only been driving a few months. He complains at every dock and has 3-4 attempts to make it and has waaaaay too much wheel work reversing.
I don’t know what was more painful… knowing that you did more work for that straight back or the hazard that you were backing through the entire parking lot because it was “easy”
What’s painful is drivers having to listen to people bitch at them and criticize them. Its really unnecessary. Who gives a flying F how he got it in there. If he did safe and didn’t hit anything. Doesn’t matter. Skill develops with time. We obviously know what we’re doing otherwise we wouldn’t be employed. We listened to our trainers bitch at us enough. We’re done listening to other people. Watch and enjoy.
@@MrJacobCastro sounds like you’re doing exactly that. I was never criticizing him. Just exercising my 1st amendment. And as a driver trainer the 1st thing I tell my trainees is NO unnecessary backing and in my professional opinion that’s what that was. If you take trainers b****ing at you to heart then you need tougher skin because That’s what’s going to keep you alive.

Yup. Bottles with big hole openings are usually the best for pee jugs. Yes, very disgusting but all truckers, females included… have piss bottles. Some ppl even poop in bags, I don’t. I hold it in and it gets hard as a rock by the time I’m ready to go

He just hit his 2 year mark. Most local places won't even look at you with out AT least 2 years. The big reason, though, is that OTR is basically van life that he gets paid for, which is his dream.

There are few jobs as driver that are set hours like 9-5. My advice is to start looking in different jobs
I notice that you correct the steer wheel 700 to 800 times when you back to a dock, maybe you should go for 1200 to 1500 times...

I work as an oversize pilot and I’d love a schedule. I might work one job for 5 days a week, maybe for a month, but I only find out at 10am that I’m working that night. I’d love to have someone ring me and say you’ve got 4 weeks straight work with me. (Actually I’d really love that, I just started my own company working for myself and I’m gonna struggle like mad for the first 90 days til invoices start getting paid.

The hardest dock to back into is a wide open dock with now lines on the ground. That's when you realize how much you depend on other objects like trucks and trailers as a point of reference to help you back correctly.

Hurricanes are not really an issue if you’re in Jacksonville and it comes from the panhandle unless it’s like a 4-5. And even then most likely it won’t even do more than maybe loose you a day due to flooded roads from the rain. That’s if it’s a slow mover.

Has Alex heard of insurance? Lol I’ve never meet someone so scared of getting their truck hit! 😂 I’ve been hit once and it sucks but the company has insurance for a reason!
But having to deal with the hassle , is a huge pain in the ass,
You can lose out on safety bonuses, it looks unsightly, it can be a pain to deal with repairs, and GP could be a one and done company
You also get boneheads like the one that hit me when I was sleeping I had to run out without shoes and stop him. Tore my mirrors off and destroyed my hood. Lucky I caught him and yes there are dashcams but in dark places it may miss stuff. People just need to get out and look but people are too lazy.
I've been hit while parked many times. I run a camera 24/7 to protect myself.

Hate date my age like this. A camera on a hat? No way they was on like 4 wheels if not more back in very early 60’s when I was young. In 80’s still no way a camera could be worn on a hat unless you was a James Bond type of agent. Amazing!!

I don't understand why he ALWAYS has full piss bottles in his truck. I empty mine out in the grass behind my trailer every morning, rinse them with some water, and spray some Lysol. I use the same bottles for month, so throwing out a lot of empties, or throwing out FULL PISS BOTTLES, if something I have little patience for. It's not that hard to take care of disposable waste!!!
