I’m a fan of your videos, and as a driver for the last 20+ years my one piece of advice is….. don’t just drop a trailer, do a good post trip. You dropped it without ever making sure you didn’t have a flat, and all your lights worked… nothing worse than the next guy having to waste half of his day waiting on repairs that could have been caught with a post trip and reported. You would expect the same courtesy from the person dropping a trailer you’re about to pick up.

Alex... just some friendly advise.. when dropping a trailer... don't just pull out. Pull out just enough to get the fifth wheel free of the apron... so if the landing gear collapses it's gonna land on the frame of the truck and not drop all the way to the ground. DONT ASSUME THE LANDING GEAR IS GONNA HOLD UP THE TRAILER.... ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE DROPPING A LOADED TRAILER.. Otherwise happy trailers... stay safe brother.

I couldn't back for shit, would always get lost, miss my exits, have trouble finding places, have trouble figuring out some of the bizarre check in processes at shipper and receivers etc. I wanted to quit so bad but I didn't have anything else to fall back on, when I first started trucking I didn't even have a place to live. After 6 months it got easier, after a year I enjoyed it. It takes time, if you are in school you are in the easy part it gets way harder on the road.

Also not a bad idea to use trucker path and your gps if you have something like a rand McNally or Harmon that shows you all the spots along your route also leave yourself at least 1HR to 1 hr 30 min to find parking and don’t be afraid to make your company mad better to have the company reschedule a load than to be in violation on your logs or have to drive unsafe to deliver a load. Have been driving just a little over three years now and have never had any problem running my days this way just gotta let them know if it can’t be legally done it can’t be done just plan and simple

So, I don't know which gps you're using, but I find with my company provided gps it only assumes 55-58mph. I regularly cut hours off of the navigation time (assuming it's a longer trip). For instance today once this load gets done loading, I'll have 7.4 hours left on my drive time with my gps showing 6.6 hours to my destination. It will likely only take me about 5.8 hours drive time

Look buddy I know you lack confidence right now but coming from a 2 million mile driver, it will be a lot easier to merge when you speed up to freeway speeds. Other trucks will move out of your way, that's the idea of merging, it's your job to match freeway speed. Also rumble strips will not ever blow your tires and save your points at Truck Stops you can use them later to buy truck items like CBS or things for truck.

Your blessed to go 68mph, thats the upper end of governs. I miss 68, i highly doubt 65 saves enough gas to matter. But 3mph an hr faster in 11hrs of driving makes a HUGE difference.

Not a trucker about to get my CDL but when you are merging on a large vehicle people know they either move left ⬅️ or get ahead og you ⬆️ or star behind ⬇️. They know they can stop on a dime but you can't they also know subconsciously that they don't want to hit the rear of your truck because they can't win. Unless there is traffic backed up on the merging lane which will require you to slow down don't just gain your speed.

It's cruise control only keeps it at a set speed, it won't drive itself it will probably start drifting into other lanes or not brake if needed.
