I've unconsciously been waiting for this. I was taught a pattern in fashion school and I realized it doesn't work for all body types and that's a big headache for me. I'm going to try this and I really hope it works. Thanks zoe!
This one should work, since you'll be replacing my measurements with your size/model's measurements--there aren't any random numbers. Good luck!

This was an interesting way of drafting a sleeve, I learnt it differently, but it's good to know another technique
Yes, there are a few methods, but I find this one the best to draft any size.

This version of drafting the sleeve is so much simpler, I love it! Can’t wait to give it a try! Quick question tho…to remove the dart, do we just close it and move that back to the center of the sleeve? 🙏🏻

Hi zoe I have a doubt Im from India and learned sewing from a teacher here we use a different system and it seems to work too but we calculate the sleeve cape height but dividing the bust measurement by 12 and the result being the sleeve height is usually smaller than the ones I see on the internet generally and I'm wondering how is this possible that both method works? Also we don't use dart on the sleeve either
I don't see how the bust size has anything to do with sleeve cap heights. Breasts do not always correlate with the size of the rest of the body.
Darts are used on a tailored, fitted woven sleeve like this one. Sleeve darts aren't used on anything boxy, knits, etc.
Hi, Im not Zoe but I have thoughts on this:
There are various Clothing pattern construction systems.
Traditional and contemporary.
From earliest "Spanish tailor's books", all the way to whatever's latest method used in the area...
A good system is important for everything to go smoothly through following steps and equations.
Each system is more or less suited to particular shape and and size.
I see having variety of construction systems to be a blessing.
Outside of the range of measurements covered by the formulas, the fit will not be ideal/good.

I would like to know when you are going do more videos on drawing plus size bodies because you help me out a lot I used to draw my little miss darkness character stick skinny now these day I draw little miss darkness curvier by giving her a plus size woman body she looks more real now i wish disney would make more plus sizes characters😊
