Fresh Zoe content, aren't we lucky! Looking forward to the visual eye line series. Yes, more runway review please. The Versace Barbie show was a fun, colorful melange of cuts & styles across decades. The Valentino show had very beautiful looks, per usual. Thoughts on the AppleTv+ Super Models doc? Naomi & Christy looked the best.
Hey Zoe! Took me 5 days but I finally had quality time to tune in! As preceded, this video and topic of discussion did not disappoint. I was in a stifled creative space and heard what I needed to hear👍
welcome back! Love the back drop actually, books are my fav. Are they all fashion related? You could do some more videos about them. Also you could do the things you suggested within this video as demonstrations for us, if you want to of course. With the no colour story I think of it more as a good way to push yourself to think/ design more creatively rather than thinking negative like oh it makes it harder/more difficult or challenging. With challenges creates opportunities of new ways/options/alternatives/solutions that could actually be better or improvements than if you never had the challenge put in your way, approach it with a more positive attitude/outlook/mindset
This is absolute gold! Thank you so much!! I also love asking Ai or some other random generator for a prompt and doing 10 looks for that concept. It’s usually a great challenge and helps me expand my style aesthetic. ☺️✨
Very helpful. Looking forward to the geeking out on colour theory series! I also dream to become a creative director one day, so I love this tidbit. P.s I like the background, I can see some inspiration on which books to buy.
Hello! I've been watching your videos for a couple of months. I'm quite focused in learning how to be a fashion designer and starting my business. I'm focused, I'm organized, I'm creative, yet, I have ADHD. 😅 So (I'll save you the details) I'd love to learn and research about other fashion designers who also have ADHD.
[SUGGESTION] Great video Zoe! I recently got into fashion and want to learn more about the technicalities and construction of clothes so I can better understand fashion as a whole. I have no intention to pursue design as a career but just wanna know enough to truly appreciate the amazing art form. What would y'all suggest I do and what path should I follow to learn? Any suggestions/resources are greatly appreciated.
So glad to see you back! I was very sick for a long time and cheated death a few times. I'm starting to walk again 😊. Wondered where you went and to be honest, I really missed you. Had to watch this a few times because my mind wandered at the concept of dressing my mother. I had visions of torching her wardrobe and then creating separates and coordinates slightly evocative of Goth for a Korean Grandma. If she were still around, it wouldn't have gone well. All her life, she only tought about cheapest when it came to clothes and in hideous polyester. Seems that lately I tend to work as a stylist. In my wildest dreams most of my clients are dressed in the Elder Goth aesthetic. Reality is that I do for them and teach them to develop their own style and dump the frumpy while introducing them to a few investment pieces. Nor that it need to cost a fortune. Once a month, I style someone at the homless shelter for $400. Totally different look! My youngest daughter describes me as a designer Korean Goth Grandma. These days, I sew up matching Mother-preschool son Goth outfits for my daughter and grandson. I often think up things like the Vogue Coordinates or Butterick Lifestyle and make sure that each garment is perfect for mixing and matching PLUS instructions to Goth it out to suit an older Goth. My biggest fan is my grandson but he's four and not quite the kind of critiqing that I need. He thinks that Halmeoni is the greatest and flawless.
My own husband cheated death back in May and I have been by his side and he's also relearned how to walk Congratulations on your recovery! Korean Goth Grandma sounds so cool!
@@zoehongteaches your scare circcuits must been overloaded or close to it with a sick husband. Glad he's recovering. Thank you for your kind words. I still have a lot more to conquer in this lifetime 🙂
So glad to see you back Zoe Hong! This si a great video and a great little project for sure, will like to hear your thought on Pretty Little Things by Naomi Campbell.
Thank you for this video so informative and inspiring, I am looking into future goals, I would love to know your take on ' The Day in the life of..' Specifically 'Head of Design roles.. etc. these higher design positions where its less about you designing more so managing... thanks for any advice x
I have watched and learned so much from many of your videos. But to be honest, I'm not even into fashion. I'm a very boring person when it comes to fashion. I'm more in doggy clothes and bag making and I like making my own patterns. But even so, I have used many of your tips and they are beyond helpful. I guess sewing is sewing regardless of of the category. Glad you're back sharing more of of your knowledge.
So glad to see you again teaching and encouraging designers to keep on learning, practicing and studying garment design and construction. Can you kindly review the last collection of Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen Collection, Gauruv Gupta, Dipetsa, Erdem , Carolina Herrera and Chloe. Thank you and welcome back!
You’re very welcome Zoe!. I have learned so much from you than my instructors in fashion and dressmaking school. We appreciate your generosity of sharing your knowledge and seeing fashion in an intelligent designer perspective.
Hey, so ive been learning fashion for years and have tuff time with what goes inside garments to make it more couture as well the fabric that goes with what garments the best. what is the best way to find information on the inside of garments? Some garment you can't buy to figure out how it was made fully.
You can't have access to the inside of couture garments but you can look inside designer level garments in stores, you can read some books on couture level or high level construction.
I am an Irish teen , who dreams of being a designer in future , i enjoy your vids and love to learn about new skills u show us (flats , sketching , patterns , sewing and all that) truly a massive fan
