Well done Nick. I've had my SO M4 for about three months and love it more each time I get into it. The quality of the video on these reviews are great and really show off the different tones that SO can give depending on light.

Nick - I get the same thing with other drivers with my M4. Mine is black with the black wheels. Took it the car wash last week and the kids drying it were taking pictures, get thumbs up and waves from other drives constantly.Great review, keep them coming please.

Thanks for the great review Nick. When watching car reviews on YT, it's always about drag races and fastest 0-60 times etc... cramped into a 6 minute video and to be honest, the latter misses the entire point, especially from the standpoint of a prospective buyer, as they will live with the car everyday. Most performance cars are very close in comparison in terms of figures, with slight differences in sprint or track times, so much so that the average driver will not even feel the difference. Your review gives a much more comprehensive overview, without the technical nattering.

Good review! Liked the bit about the gearbox! Not many people know how to test the gearbox like this and loads of people miss the point about gear control. ( Kick down and selecting the "wrong" gear etc).

Funny you mention the comments from other people.
We've got an Alpine white 428i and it's the only car I've ever owned where people constantly tell me how great it looks.
Someone the other day stopped backing out of the space next to me as I was unlocking it, rolled down their window and said "that is one great looking car". Others have commented, "I didn't even notice that was a BMW, but man it's nice looking." One of my coworkers said, "this car doesn't have one bad angle."
Very much enjoy your videos. Love your enthusiasm for your M4. Oh, and shout out from another IT infrastructure guy. :)

This is the first I've seen of your videos and I have to say, impressive. I am not jealous of your M4, I'm glad you have it and support that you are willing to show us what it can do. I really appreciate that, and wish I could do the same with my car of choice. And to those who make personal jabs at you, you handle them great, I laugh with your response. Good on you, take care, and you've gained a subscriber as long as you keep the sports cars comin!!!

gr8 review. I've been to Auckland and Wellington and enjoy the All blacks Rugby too. Job sends me to New Zealand every year. I see New Zealand and Australia will be celebrating ANZAC 100 years this year. i have an E92 M and will most likely step up to the M4 next year.

Also just a tip to any M4 owners that don't know! The car is only restricted to 150mph in 7th gear. Leave it in 6th and it will do 200mph! (Words of the BMW demonstrator who I went on a test drive with!)

My experience says you're a very good example of your people and country New Zealand. Despite hateful and ignorant people asking and accusing you of this and that, you still keep it civilized and polite and never lower yourself to their level. In other words, a true New Zealander. Kudos to you and also thanks for very entertaining and informative videos.

Was not sure about this video at first. I find sometimes things get dragged out and the pace is far too slow, which can be frustrating when you are a bit impatient like myself. The end however, where you faced off the negative comments with a smile was genius. Respect, good on you. Subscribed. :D

Great Video nick ! My dad just bought a new 2014 Buick Lacrosse & its such a comfortable , smooth , & great car. The amount of Luxury you get for the price is really amazing. I might just have to steal it lol.

Thanks Nick like your reviews, I have now finished putting all the m performance parts on my M4 and with the new exhaust it transforms the car and really adds to excitement. I was worried about it looking to modified though but it just gives it a more aggressive stance a subtle change worth doing.
Getting my f82 next week, cannot wait... im from glastonbury ct so ill see you around hopefully, i got alpine white, black 19'' rims, with sakhir orange extended interior with all the packages... been watching your review for the past 2 months while theyve been building mine, getting me very very excited!

Awesome video man! Going on 3 months with mine and i think you hit it spot on with everything. I do find this car much more comfortable than my old m3 for long trips(just seems like the design of the seats are better) thinking about a 911 next too but will probably hold on to this for longer than you

The M4 seems like a really fine car, would love to try one out. Thing is though that there are not too many performance cars around here, because taxing and usage costs are just mad here in Finland. You can get two M4's in the US for the price of one here... It's always interesting to watch your videos, it gives a nice view on how it's like to own one, love all those little details.
Gotta stick with my E46 325xi and an occasional summer bike for now :) It's a great car though. Really lucky to work as a cars salesman as well, got to drive a R35 GT-R last summer and we have a couple of '11 Challengers and a '06 M6 coupe as well. Keep up the good work Nick.
Hey Nick. Great vid and good, honest reviews. I'm waiting for my manual M4 to get into the port soon over here on the west coast. Regarding your problems with the DCT going into park, i agree it is a design mistake to not put a park button somewhere on the controls, but I noticed when I drove the DCT that if you leave it in manual 1st gear, pull the emergency brake, and then turn off the car, it should go into park every time. Thanks for the Vids!
Hey Nick matey i always liked and enjoyed your vidz full of info. That thing about flooring the pedal and geting the right gear is my favourite feature. The snow sliding part when you was parked up i could see the right wing mirror was folded can it be folded idividually?

One question: if you had to choose between the M4 and a 991 Carrera S (the turbo not being an option) as a second car besides a F10 550i saloon, what would you go for? Kind of getting ready to add one of the before mentioned cars as a second one to have fun with and drive on weekends.

I would get the 991 C2S every time. I just loved mine even though I had nothing but problems with it.

Love your videos extremely. I used them to make a decision before buying my own Austin Yellow M4.
I too first had trouble with Neutral gear, but its actually quite simple.
If you simply shift the gear lever into reverse before turning off the ignition, the car then intuitively changed 'reverse' into 'park' as its turned off. Same as it used to be on the E46 M3.
They changed it on the E90 where you left it in neutral and that became park. I too had the E90 before the M4. Why they changed this feature back - who knows. It was actually simpler on the E90.
Nevertheless switch it into 'reverse' before turning off, and problem solved.
The worst part for me was on my very first drive home after picking it up, I stopped at a very public place, and because I had not put it into 'park', the damn horn kept alarming me every time I tried to lock the car. Everyone was looking at me as I embarrassingly could not work out why!
Anyway, give it a go mate and keep up the sensational videos.
By the way, I too love being an absolute kid in mine despite that I'm 45 years old!
