I also have a 2015 M4. I took delivery on November 22, 2014 after ordering it in July that year. After 4 years and 3 months, I now have just under 30,000 miles on it. Mine is Sakhir Orange with the Orange and black matching full leather interior. My car is well optioned with the 6-speed manual, moon roof, Executive Package, Adaptive M Suspension Package, the same 19-inch wheels as you have, rear sunshade, Harman Kardon sound, and the side and top view camera as a stand-alone option. I absolutely love it and I plan on keeping it, hopefully for 4 more years. A couple of weeks ago, a guy asked me about my "new car". I told him it was new when I bought it 4 years ago. The handling is outstanding, and I love the torque from the S55 motor. As for the rear sunshade, I think is is a real benefit here in Sacramento especially during our hot summers. I use the top view camera nearly every time I park the car as it makes it a lot easier to park in the middle of a parking place in a parking lot or as close to the curb when parking on the street as I want. I even use it when parking in my garage. As for the settings, I set every thing in Sport mode. I also love the rev matching on down shift feature. Greatest car I ever had and I've been driving since I was 16, I'm now 73.
James Bondeson Glad to hear that you are having a great time with your M4! I love mine as much as you do.
Guys please take a moment to appreciate these engineering arts every time you get in them because what to you is your daily drive can be an unreachable dream for a lot of folks like me around the world. Give her a drift for me. M power ftw 👊
😅🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅 this guy is 73 years old
Does anyone find Nicks accent refreshing and pleasant to listen to?
better than american accent
Americans have accents?
It affects my already halfassed British Australian accent so badly that I love it
No, cos it's exactly the same as mine! :-)
+devilzmantis everyone has an accent. Why do Americans think that they're always different and special?
I picked up a brand new M4 a week ago, and it was you that made me think about letting people in the back without breaking the mirror! 👍
When you said you dont know why the rear tires wear so easily. “Its just one of those mysteries of life” i nearly shat my pants.
Stupid guy lol...... it's a rear wheel drive vehicle smh
@@andreclarke9015 yeah i couldn't tell based on the burnout clip that he showed right as he said that lol...
I hope to own one of these one day! Loving my STI, but this is a true dream car of mine!
Wow you're really racking up the miles Nick! Glad to hear you're happy with it still!
I am Tui's personal Über driver. We have to do a meet up this summer
Nick Murray I agree! Let me know when you'd be free! I may be heading east later in the summer.
Does uber pay off?
I absolutely love your videos on your M4. It has my made my decision on getting one so much easier! Keep up the great work!
the way it delivers power is what makes this car very very special,M4 is beauty. well said nick thanks for ur honest opinion.
Thank you sir for such keeping us updated about the M4. I've been following your videos for the past couple of years and recently was fortunate enough to buy one and do a euro delivery (videos are in my channel). Like you said, the power of this car is immense, whether I was blasting on the autobahn, passing people on the nurburgring or high on the mountains. It's an amazing car, did almost 4000 kilometers before dropping off the car but now I impatiently wait for my car to be shipped back to the states. Your videos are helping to pass the time and I even learned few things from your "10 things M4/M3 owners ..." video. Thanks! Your videos always inspired me to someday get an M car and have a youtube channel and here we are.
Awesome review! Nick, you rock!
I just bought my 2015 M4 with 39,000 miles on it....love it!
Nick, completely agree. I have a 2015 M3 and just at 8K miles. I love the car and agree with all your comments.
I have a 2017 m4 and i love it definitely a very powerful and amazing car and catches alot of eyes and very nice to modify i love it
Great update. Always enjoy your videos. Keep up the solid work.
Still making awesome reviw after 18 month. Great vid Nickiiiii
Nick , thanks for this.great insight and fun as always
Keep it up Nick. Started watching with the Porsche and hadn't realized how long it's been-funny how time moves.
Replaced the tires without a burnout video/farewell to the old ones?? What kind of RUclipsr are you???!!!!
This ^^^
The mature one.
+Anas Unpronounceable Last Name You must be new here lol
Yes sir
🤣🤣🤣
Great video as always, Nick!
Awesome video Nick!!
Perfect. Relevant to this car's vintage. Especially for pre-owned buyer. Nice drone footage too!
Thanks Nick. Only 580 into my M3. Got the manual and moonroof. Really pleased, wonderful car. Your video reviews were super helpful, so much appreciated. Great to hear you are still enjoying it.
Thanks for the feed back Brian
Miss your old M4! Spec is spot on.
Nice review, Nick !
This spec is simply stunning. It's a brilliant car Nick.
I love how u really drive your car a lot, enjoy it!
Thanks for the video Nick :)
brilliant job Nick Blesses
Thanks for the review!
Great review, just got a 435i and love it but the M4 looks special!
Nick! I really love your videos! M4 is definitely my dream car... Currently I have an E46 325i '04, and I love it too, but I hope that one day I will also have an M4! Keep on uploading the videos! :)
+nick Murray been watching since your initial review of the m4. You're getting much better at filming, cinematography looking great.
Thanks Michael
I just had my 2020 M440i M Sport for a year and still loving it
Glad to hear the M4 is doing well, Nick!! Looking forward to the 911 in the near future...
One thing this car does not need is more power! 0-60 in 4.0 seconds, 0-100mph in 8.8. Supercar performance, and a full four seater. Love mine.
Just bought a 2015 F83...most of the same packages...love it already many complements and from all I can tell both the paint and leather have stood up very well with 28K miles on it
Hey Nick ! I have the Sakhir Orange M4 with a sunroof 😎. It’s nice to hear that I’m not the only one liking it.
Nice car.... Really enjoy your vids bud.
I have 11,300 miles on my 2015 M3 6spd. 5 days shy of a year and it's been awesome. I have a 6 month old in the back and no stains or any faults to report. Definitely get the stick next time Nick!
Hey Nick, regarding the side bolsters, try coding "Easy Entry" to your car. I did it to my M4 yesterday, and it was brilliant. The driver seat moves back 60mm (adjustable with different coding parameters) when I shut off the engine and open the door, and after I get back in and close the door, the seat moves back forward to my driving position. It really saves the side bolsters from wear by giving you more room, as well as the steering wheel from being scratched by belts. I did that once, wasn't pretty.
glad you like it. BMW are just smooth
What i find consistent i what i have read/watched, and i think Nick had the same experience, is that this car initially comes across as cold. I've read the same on Piston Heads and Autocar but it's only till you get to live with the car on a aday to day basis that it totally gets under your skin and it's breath of ability starts to shine and owners totally fall in love with it. I'd be so happy if i could own one.
Thank you for validating my choices
I'm at a year and 5k mi, and your hypothetical ideal is close to my actual. I differ on the sunroof though, the carbon is just too cool. I skipped the DAP, park assist, and rear sunshade (which was actually hard to get deleted, but the dealer managed). Exec package _totally_ worth it, I also got enhanced BT, which is helpful for reading texts on the go. Dictating texts inexplicably absent.
Very impressed your white leather has held up so well.
Hi, just saw this new review. The previous one, explained why both of my sun visors were smashed. I did not know why and neither did BMW (replaced for free). Some of what you paid extra for came as standard here in England on my M4. I do like the lane assist, the steering wheel vibrates like a phone and the triangle on the wing mirrors lights up. Also, the one thing that I did not know about Carbon Ceramic brakes, is the noise they make once a stone gets trapped between them. Believe me, it is appalling. Those aside, I am glad I bought a manual (no regrets) and I thought this was a good review. Thanks.
My M4 is wearing in the exact same spot on the seat as you. The same was true for my e92 M3
0:36 Man, your buddy Brian is blessed to have a friend like you who lends people an M4 to drive to Boston and back. My friend wouldn't even let me drive his 09 SRT8!!!!!!!
I say just just get him drunk and take it anyway
I got an m2 about a month ago and its awesome!
yes nice. the M4 is just better because of the more responsive and torque s55 with twin turbos. I wish the M2 had the s55 and not the same old n55 with a single turbo.
maybe you haven't driven either... because for someone who has, that's not the observation... In other words, make sure you know your shit
The N55 and the M2 is better than the M4. I don't know what you're talking about.
Hello people from 2yrs ago, we do have M2 with s55 now in 2018, cool huh?
Nice recap on your purchase. Would love to find out how you recoded your lights but I feel like you had a video on them. Keep up the great vids.
Thanks for the video, very helpful. I actually asked you a question a while back about what you now covered in the video, which you politely ignored, but again, I got my answer now, so thanks a bunch.
What do you mean 'what I covered'?
oh... problems with the car, options that you would skip, options that you would keep, stuff like that.
Thanks Nick very informative thinking of getting one. John
Lends his car???? Nick, can I be your friend?
We can no longer be friends John. You know what you did...
I bought a M4 too but not from bmw it been 4 week and the car is saying service due in 700 mile it has 23690 mile on it. do you know how much it’s going to cost and what Bmw will do at this service interval. I know a basic oil change is $99 pls if know or have done any service close to this mile interval how much was it
I have a MK4 R32 and now an M4, too! Good taste!
Great car. I have the M3 2015 model. Truly wonderful place to spend time.
I own an M4 GTS and it's splendid . I could not be more proud and thrilled . BMW has really hit a home run with the M4.
Not sure if I was the only one but after awhile I could only listen to the video. With Nick driving around in circles in that parking lot I was getting dizzy.
Gorgeous I'd go for the M3 myself but still amazing
Nick, you have to turn the indicator on before the park assist kicks in. You see the spot you want indicate before driving past the spot and it should work.
Nice review. I've been in my M4 for about 18 months as well and I still love it. The only thing I don't like is when DCT is in 3rd gear while I'm coming to a stop, it jerks going down to 2nd (auto mode, not manual shifting). It's not as bad when it's in D1 setting but D1 is no fun lol
Love my 2015 M4 with all the options 45k miles on it atm, 6spd, Not a single issue, Knock on wood. , :) Tune/Downpipes, plenty of power, side skirts, front lip, rear dif, trunk lip, transforms the car, mine's black with carbon roof. cheers.!
I have a new M4. I did add the carbon fiber handbrake and gear shifter with the carbon fiber panels. I also added the carbon fiber rear diffuser. But the option that really transforms the car is the BMW Titanium performance exhaust system. It is just unreal. It brings the car alive and would definitely recommend it .
Autopark system works pretty well for me. The odd thing about it is, after it has identified a location to park, it still wants you to move forward quite a bit past the spot - in many cases further than you normally would if you were parking yourself which leads to drivers behind you thinking your not going for the spot and getting in your way
Hi, great review.
But can you tell me a little bit more about the LED headlight coding upgrade?
What do they do to the light and what is the coding upgrade called so i can have it done to my car as well.
I love my top view camera on my M3. Got so use to it that I never use the backup camera
Also, the park assist is great. At first, it’s quite daunting to trust the car however, it does the job really well.
Great review.
I didn't know Matt Damon was Australian. 😁
Was full leather an option at this time or standard? It's an expensive option now, thoughts?
Good job Nick, still unsure whether to change my E92 M3 for one of these....
Don't do that! Like your review Nick!
Nick, may I ask what insurance company you use?The rate sounds appealing.
Car still looks great!
Bro that frenchie is awesome.
very beautiful M4
I don't know why, but this guys accent puts me in a good mood
How do you compare to Carrera s?
You said running cost was zero, but also said you had to replace the rear tires - those rear rubbers are probably $600 each - at least.
Loved the drone footage!
I got the ceramic brakes on my m3 competition pack. yellow caliper, feels good
What a beautiful BMW and good video Nick. I just hate how the calibers are always blue.. its like that lovely orange with a blue, just doesnt go together.
Hey Nick. Greetings and salutations from Downunder mate.
Just wanted to say that I do enjoy your reviews on the M4 and although I know a lot of people hate a bit on the dash in the latest gen of cars, I love the way that carbon looks.
I'm an E46 fan and have an old 2000 model. Yeah, I know, it's sad but I just love that little car as my daily runner as I live in Silverdale but work at Auckland International which is a 100 km round trip and that straight six is a peach. Anyway, the point of this tome is I heard your comment / concerns about your seat bolster. The seats in my car were in pretty mint condition (read virtually unmarked) when I bought it but I could see that the previous owner hadn't kept the leather conditioned and it was just getting pretty dry, hard and very shiny. Tried quite a few products and disliked some of them and detested the others. Then I tried Leatherique. I followed the directions, strange as they seemed, and left the stuff soaking into the leather in the sun for a full 4 days with repeated re-applications of the oil, then cleaned off the amazing amount of gunk that came out of the seats. I don't know if you've tried it but I can honestly say the seats in my car now probably look and, more importantly, feel almost as good as the day it came out of the factory. Pretty amazing results IMO and I think that for a long term vehicle I'll stick with it. I know bog standard E46 leather isn't anywhere near as nice as the stuff your ass is sitting on and by comparison your seats are practically brand new but, for what it's worth, that's been my experience with Leatherique. Cheers mate. P.S. The house is v cool too!
Thanks for the tip. Good luck with that bridge traffic!
Dude you're awesome man, I wish I would have watched this video before I traded in my 335 for an Audi :(
Jennings beach! May be there on Monday for Memorial Day. Would be awesome to see the M4 there.
Hey Nick , the M4 is still looking good for sure Great review as always mate! - Can you tell me what wax/polish you use to keep it looking so pristine?
Best Regards. Rob UK
+Nick Murray, can you do a video showing the difference between normal drive and the more aggressive computer mapping of sport mode. I'm curious how good the automatic computer mapping is vs manually shifting. Is it telepathic? Or do you prefer shifting on your own?
Great video thank you ! 🙏🏼 considering a used m4 and was wondering about any common or major issues like oil consumption , transmission synchro issues (manual) or stuff like fcabs or rtabs like I used to change up on my e46 m3? Thanks!
Very nice review - thanks....looking at a Boxster or the M4 convertible. Not really interested in anything else and I was pleased to hear your description of the options you value and those you dismiss. Love the color combo....disappointed to see the leather wear you showed. That should be covered under warranty BTW, at least partially. Enjoy!
Love the M4
Great video,thks
I was seriously considering the M3 (I need the 4 doors) but now Alfa Romeo has made my decision a lot harder...
M3 vale mais
Giulia Quadrifoglio
you are going to spend some nice time at the dealership
lol please don't compare an alfa with M cars.
Mike Shino
That's not fair, M cars are pretty cool too.
Already a year and a half old?, still does lokks fresh tho :)
On to many more kiwi smiling miles :)
Hi Nick, just a quickie, when you say stock car does this car have the competition pack, and do yo really need it ? 😊Thanks
Nick - you are uniquely qualified to help me choose my next toy since you've owned an M4 and the 991. These are my two finalists (both in cabrio form), but most would tell me the 991 should be disqualified because the rear seats are unsuitable for my 6-month old son now, or even when he grows up. In your old car review, you discuss how usable the 991 rear seats are. How would you guess they'd fare for a youngster?
I'm not aware of you doing a head-to-head with these two cars, but given how many videos you have on one or the other, this would surely be popular content. Thanks!
The rear seats on the 911 are perfectly useable for anyone under 5' 4" many people fit baby seats in there no problem. No plans really to do head to head as they are not really in the same price bracket
Hi Nick, thanks for your video! The car looks red on your video but it is supposed to be orange, I guess the camera can't pick up the right color. I wonder what color is it in person? I'm thinking of ordering the same color.
Hey Nick, I got the overhead views on 335i xDrive M Performance Edition to make sure I centered in parking spots to absolutely minimize door dings...of course it looks like you are OCD when parking... but with an M4 you have earned that right.... also from what I understand Carbon Ceramic Brakes are good for track driving and absolutely the worst for winters... if its too cold the Carbon Ceramics don't stick and since I live in Canada, the service guys here said don't get it for a cars to be driven in the winter (I have watched some of your winter reviews so I know u drive the M4 in the winter).
Nick, good video. $8K for brakes is ridiculous. And you should definitely looking into the $500 auto parking option. There's no way I would've gone that long without getting it fixed or getting myself educated. Keep the vids coming. Oh, and you should've left us with a few highlights of vehicular buffoonery during you 18 months of ownership at the end.
I put 25k in 6 months lol. awesome car. I've notice with my mazda 6 and srt-4 seats which are similar to the m4 I have the same seat issues. I've had to train myself how to sit lol.
Hahah it was fun when you talk about your rear tire it goes out so fast and then come the burn out video for 2sec xD
Nick, you need to do a review of the new C63 AMG and RS5. Curious to hear how these compare to the M4. Cheers
Thanks for the video it's nice to watch :). I want to ask the steering wheel condition , does it start to shine because of hand sweating ? Do you use any protection product for steering wheel ?
Quick note on the manual: there isn't a cruise control option from what I understand. I was building a few 340s and when I opted for the manual, it wouldn't let me select the cruise control. So I don't know if you'll still get cruise control with a manual if you were to buy an M4 again, but that's what I know for the 340s.
driver assist package is probably the most important package to me. NYC parallel parking!!
forget 25k. make a video of it when it hits 100k
Toyota4Life it probably won’t, it’s a bmw
Exactly lol
my 2012 320d F30 doing 168,000 miles, no problem whatsoever in last > 3 years
No offense but Toyota cars are driven by drivers like if they are grandmas. If they are driven fast like a German car, I'm curious to see if they last as much. I had the first generation Lexus RX SUV and the transmission died on me at 80K km mark. At 90K km mark, it has all kind of engine sensor issues. I was in my nephew 'sToyota Camry and the door was locked. I did not realize the door was locked when I tried to get out of the car, pulled the latch in an attempt to open the door and broke the latch.
Hunter Voss my bmw has 240k miles and counting :)
Hello Nick great videos like watching them, would be nice if you could test drive a C63 Amg coupe and compare with your old M4, would be great compare video
