u r a legend because i am NOT on ozempic but i am looking at options. I have been reluctant to go on any of these medications BECAUSE every single youtube video I look at the patient keeps saying they feel awful after taking the higher dosages......I wish there were more properly trained doctors like U out there.
Let’s not forget that there is very strong behavioural/emotional aspect for many people… semaglutide curbs the cravings, or as many users have said ‘it quiets the food chatter in your brain’…. One needs support and guidance in this area as well, so that they are prepared for the ‘chatter’ when they stop taking the drug….
Interesting l needed to see this l was on Ozempic for 9 months and now I'm switching to Wegovey because I'm not diabetic. Insurance probably won't approve Ozempic for me now. I had now side effects on Ozempic. I've been off my medication for one month already was having a hard time figuring out what dosage to start out on. I had to look at what's available also don't want to run out once l start. I will be starting out on 1.7 praying this works out for me.
Thank you so much for your videos. They have been very helpful. My doctor is new to prescribing semaglutide and told me I will have to be on it forever or I will gain the weight back. I have lost 40 pounds so far and was so relieved to hear that I can taper off. Luckily she has me on the correct dose at .5 mg. ❤
I bet Doctor Tyna Moore agrees with you too. I am also tired of the BS and the shortages, I need this med for my T2 diabetics. I live in fear not getting it . I dose at :025 . This dosage is what is in shortage in Australia.
This was a great video. I had no idea about the concept of tapering off. I clearly got off of sg abruptly and prematurely after a stall without understanding about plateaus and tapering off, maintenance once reaching the goal, etc.
as a diabetic who is on ozempic and had problems getting this drug in Australia because of the stupid "weight loss epidemic" caused by social media influences i find it interesting that the majority of harmful side effects reports are coming from the weight loss people not from actual diabetics...
@@Janieblueyes So non diabetics that have comorbities just as dangerous as type 2 diabetes should be denied access to this lifesaving medication? Am I hearing you both correctly?
Will doctors prescribe this if you’re not obese and only need to lose 20-30 lbs? I’ve lost 35 lbs of my own over a 4 year period, but for 2 years now I just go up and down in this 10 lb range and it is so frustrating! I lift weights and workout 4/5 days per week.
Try the compound route. Find a dr to work with you. I got tirzepatide for a very good price and just started my 1st dose this week. My 1st 24 hours was rough! I was nauseous on and off in waves but I’m ok since yesterday and just took it Wednesday morning. I still have an appetite but that 1st 24 hours nothing but made myself eat I need my protein and I am anemic so I definitely gotta get my good nutrition in. Good luck!
From my experience, they probably won’t prescribe it for that reason. Also, typically moral doctors will also look at blood sugar and blood pressure to make the decision to prescribe. If you’re significantly overweight, these are going to be out of wack.
I worry about this, but semaglutides have been around for over ten years in terms of diabetic medication. I've been dithering for a year about taking it. Both my parents died of circulatory diseases in their 60s. I've spent 40 years trying to lose weight and come to the conclusion that the risk of heart attack and stroke is greater than the potential side effects of a drug with a lot of history. But who knows
@@hilarygibson3150yeah. I think the biggest problem is that people aren’t realistic about this drug. It’s medication, not a magic potion. I’ve been on it for 6 months. I’m rarely super hungry anymore. I can feel the difference. Pretty much, I don’t have the urge to snack
I wish there were more doctors interested in putting programs together like you do.

Awe, that poor gentleman. Sometimes I get nauseated, if I eat too much and I had to stop drinking alcohol cause it doesn't agree with my stomach.

I get ya, I am in Aust too. Doctors need to stop prescribing to non T2. I live in fear not being able to get it. I can’t handle other meds. 🐨😃

You can go the compound route. I’m with AMS telehealth and they are great. They really work with you. They don’t take insurance.

I found this out myself by researching all! My doctor didn't even know I had to tell her! Laughable but I got it😅
How do you feel about dividing the .25 weekly dose in 1/2 and administering 2x weekly? I want to try this hoping to reduce low energy and queasiness.
I did that week one. Just did my 2nd shot and no side effects. It was a slow intro.
Many people are doing that with success
I mean, the 1st week I split up and now my 3rd shot was .25
Great advice 👍🏻
I went over 5 days without having a Turd on Ozempic, my digestion is still messed up a year later.
Take a Natural laxative called Senakot a vegetable laxative!
As an outsider who never buys into big pharma I’m watching either popcorn what this outcome will truly be. I’m suspecting lawsuits
