One of my favorite vegans, the surfer Alana Blanchard just announced that she's no longer vegan because she wants to focus on "getting more protein by eating fish and eggs" I was so disappointed and shocked after so many years of looking up to her.
Thank you for all the content you putting out and keep educating us 🙏

My protein levels are also on the low side, but I don't want to start eating meat. I have been eating lots of nuts, seeds and legumes. Should I take protein supplements and, if so, which one? Any advice would be appreciated.

I also love how people like to mention fish is great for omega-3, and then they cook fish at very high heat temperatures which damages the omegas that are usually very sensitive to air, light and heat

As with any major lifestyle change, the "devil" more or less is in the details. After a major health issue rose its' head in my life some 12 years ago I embarked on this vegan/vegetarian journey. As a 100% Italian American where food is so steeped in our culture, family relationships, I found changing to be one of the hardest things I've done. After 5 years or so I became less strict in my food consumption...2-3 years ago I got back on course and the results have been stunning. Two things I'd like to raise..One is I would love to see some of these videos highlight cultures (Italian, Greek, etc) where food is so steeped in family traditions, relationships, etc. and how those people cope with such a change. I wonder if the stress it can cause people is worse than having the occasional seafood or pasta dinner with family and friends. Believe me I got tired of eating just salads eating at other people's houses, or what;s worse spending a week or a weekend at a family members' home. Long term travel on this food plan can be a nightmare, depending where you travel to...(I adhere to the vegan/vegetarian way of life as a matter of better health.) I also got tired of spending $25-30 on salads while going to dinner with friends/family. Secondly, I I should also say I am very physically active, surfing being my primary endeavor. But after a 2-3 hour surf session, a bowl of oatmeal doesn't alleviate your hunger much...I do stick to it though and add as much fruit to my oatmeal as I can. So, while at home I am strictly vegan....and I do my best to maintain that visiting people, or eating out...But I have had to make adjustments as I've said what's worse for my health? Having the occasional fish meal ( I don't bend the rules as far as eating chicken or any red meat when eating out) OR the emotional and mental stress of being the PIA at a family dinner either is someone's home or a restaurant questioning the waiter or host as to what's in the salad''lol..OR getting up from the restaurant or host's table feeling like I didn't eat anything. I'm not judging anyone, I just thought I'd add my thoughts to the discussion...Be Well everyone!!

Hi! in one of your videos you said that we are supposed to chew our food until it turns into a puré. I eat three meals a day and i only get 30 min for each meal. I tried chewing my food that much, and i didn’t have time to finish my meal bc it took too long to chew my food. At the end of the day i was hungry and after doing it for about a week my jaw was swollen. It seems very unnatural to chew food that much, and too much time goes into eating. I can’t continue this habit bc it is unrealistic. This is just my experience, what are your thoughts on this?

Sure seems like Health Insurance Companies and Medicare would be receptive to a WFPB vegan message and eliminating dangerous additives in our food.
It would save them money on health care costs. This could off set the lobbying by food manufacturers.
Maybe educating health Insurance Companies and Medicare administrators should be a priority.
Health Insurance companies might even push doctors to take nutrition more seriously by paying for nutrition counseling of patients.

Hello dear best doctor Claper! ❤ Do you know about studies on the absorption of nitrogen from the air that have been carried out by different scientists around the world? and relying on the evidence that nitrogen enters the blood in the same way as oxygen, can we conclude that the human body may need almost no protein or need it, but in very small quantities? Thank you very much for your interesting lectures!!⚡🚨👍💪❤🕊🤗🌻
