THANK GOD FOR YOUR VIDEO AND THAT YOU EXPLAINED IT THAT WE COULD UNDERSTAND TOO SOMETIMES PEOPLE GO SO FAST THANK YOU THIS VIDEO IT WAS REALLY HELPFUL GOD BLESS YOU 🙌🏼 🙏🏾 ❤️
Great job on this video, I really enjoyed all the extra tips you have added in. So many drivers can get stuck on things like Available Drive Time thinking that is always using their 11 Drive Time.
IT SHOULD ALSO be noted.. that if you have the tablet running off WIFI to connect to the Black Box... You NEED TO MAKE SURE the Wifi is connect to your trucks own Black Box... At JB Hunt they have had it set to auto connect to their black Box but also have it set to connect to the Terminals WIFI signal as when the truck is shut off for 1-2 hours... the WIfi on the Black Box turns off and that's which the red alerts pop up say that "This device is not functioning as a ELD". Making sure the tablet is only Set to connect to just 1 Wifi connection (the Black Box) will create less issues... easier way to fix this for drivers that are not tech savy is to just have them reboot the Tablet.
@JB-Mo3px, I'm sorry I just saw this. Unfortunately, we don't have PeopleNet anymore. We just kept these tutorials up because they are helpful for people. Our fail-safe advice for figuring out what you will get back when running recap is to look at your logbook page from 8 days ago. Add together lines 3 & 4 and that is what you will get back at midnight tonight. I hope that helps a little!
@@drivekandj From 2019 FMCSA is proposing to broaden the yard move guidance to clarify that a driver can use yard move status “only if the movement of the CMV occurs in a confined area on private property (or intermodal facility or briefly on public roads, as described below). Examples of properties that may qualify as yards include, but are not limited to: An intermodal yard or port facility. A motor carrier's place of business. A shipper's privately owned parking lot. A public road, but only if and while public access to the road is restricted through traffic control measures such as lights, gates, flaggers or other means. For example, if a driver must operate on a public road briefly to reach different parts of a private property, the movement may be considered a yard move if public access is restricted during the move
Thanks for posting and opening the conversation. The FMCSA did open up a comment period earlier this year on clarifying the usage of yard move, but they have not yet published any updated guidance on this in the Regulatory Guidance section of their website. For now, it is up to the company to define what is a "yard" and what is not. Thanks again for commenting!
Sukhwinder, I'm so sorry we didn't get back to you sooner! I'm sure you've resolved the issue by now, but I'll answer it anyway so that others can benefit later! An unidentified driving alert will show up on the corner of the options menu when your truck is used while no one is logged into the PeopleNet device. For our drivers, this most often happens when a mechanic moves the truck in our yard without logging in. If you notice an unidentified driving event, click "unidentified driver" in the Options menu and look for the orange/yellow entry on your log. Click that entry and either accept or reject the entry. If you accept it, it adds it to your log as YOURS. If you reject it, your system administrator will have to assign it to someone else (whoever drove it). Hope this helps anyone else with a similar question!
Yes. If you take on-duty for 30 minutes it will count as your 30 minute break according to the newest rules of the FMCSA. If your device isn't doing this, call customer service.
Sorry for the late response! I don't think we have a video that illustrates how to add a duty status, but that would be how you would do it. I would contact your safety director/tech person, or PeopleNet directly for instructions. Thanks!
So i am EMT i move to truck stop on PC miles thinking i had only about an HR to wait for my 10hr break then it kicks me to on duty and driving with zero miles and engine off ....what do i do know?
My best guess (without looking at your logs) is that you went into PC and then started your truck to leave for the truck stop. Unfortunately we learned the hard way that turning the ignition on or off interrupts both PC and YM and will kick you into D when you start moving. I'm not sure if this describes your situation or not. If your truck truly kicked you into on duty and D while the engine was off you might need to call PeopleNet (but they are closed today and tomorrow). You could try turning the device off and on again, or doing a reinstall. Those are my suggestions! Hope you find answers!
@@befree8251 if you have a PeopleNet unit from PeopleNet (not an Android tablet) you can see a small driver facing camera on the top middle. We don't have many actual PeopleNet units left in our trucks as we have mostly switched to Android units because of cost. We don't turn on the driver facing cameras and never will so I'm not that familiar with how that setup would work, sorry!

Esuite is very bad and updating GPS location on the fly.... The intergration is not GREAT at all with the PeopleNet software as they are 2 separate software linked to each other... So PeopleNet might easily link up to the truck.. but the Esuite side might take longer to fully link to the truck and get a good GPS location... In most cases... once everything is up.. these things will easily fully link up with everything once you crank the truck up.
@@drivekandj A lot of times when it comes to this stuff... It all depends on how you have it set up... and how much trust you have in your drivers... I troubleshoot this stuff all the time with my fellow drivers that have issues with PeopleNet when I still worked on JB Hunt.... The other thing is that ANY Log modifications.. you have to manually request logs whenever a log advisor edits your logs... THIS ALSO is an issue when drivers decide to certify their logs at the end of the day... If you certify your logs at the end of the day and THEN log out... The unit will request logs and ask you to certify again because there has not been enough time for the Software to communicate with the Database in saying the logs have been certify so the unit is pulling CURRENT logs from the Database in which says logs on that day have not been certified.... TO SOLVE this issue so drivers are not certifying there logs multiple times... I would certify yours logs at the beginning of the day when you first log into the unit.. NOT at the end of the day.
So sorry I didn't see this earlier! At 2:59 you will see a little button on the bottom that says "+ Driver" click that and you can add another driver. That is how you do team. And then you can easily switch back and forth between drivers.
You aren't a dunce at all! Watch it a few more times and play around with the device in your truck. It takes hands on practice for a lot of our drivers to have it all click into place.
Yeah I agree! People net sucks! Platform Science much easier/faster for the driver, but companies don't care if we use all our punching buttons just to get going!

Where to go yard move?onduty like fueling ?

Yard move must be in a fenced yard per DOT reg.
