I picked Snoopy during FCBD as I always have a soft spot for it, it always remind me of my childhood flipping through the newspaper to read a few panels of Peanuts comics.

If that's preventing you from picking up Conan, then get the Savage Sword of Canan Magazine size books. Titan Comics is keeping the Conan tradition which back in the day you'll have the action, magic in the regular comic, but the nudity, blood, and guts in the 'Mature' Conan Magazine.
This was Marvel's solution in the day to avoid the Comic Code Authority because magazines were considered adult reading, while comics were more for kids.
Got the Transformers trade preordered, picked up Void Rivals and was immediately intrigued. Put Void Rivals and Transformers on my monthly pull.

My son got me the Atlas, Vol 1 last XMas. Definitely some great stories and artwork. Pick up the FCBD release and, if you like it, order the hardcover release from Fantagraphics.
Ultimate Comics Cary is my go to spot but ultimates Comics Raliegh is a dope store too!
