This is a GREAT alternative to preserve personal or high value comics. Uv protect is a plus as well
Totally agree with you...because I’m a collector not an investor or speculator. I just love the medium. A lot of people who get certain comics graded are possibly people who intend to sell at some point. I’ll admit that a graded comic fetches more money but for me selling is not something I give much thought to and if I want to look at a book I can because it’s not encased..
I’m going to rearrange my Comic wall with these. Thank you for letting me know these exist. 👍
Now it would be cool if they made comics capsule boxes to stack them away in the boxes..
Maaann I still can’t believe I got my ultimate fallout for 20 dollars
And that’s was the going price for all the raw copies at the time
They are great for thicker modern books, too. Especially if you have some books with jeweled covers.
I loved my Comic capsule when they sent me one to review.
❤🎉 I really like it and you could put your own custom label on the top of the capsule so when you put it in Long box, you can just read everything from the top
recently got into comics, and been loving your videos. I've learned so much and appreciate the great content!
I purchased a comic capsule not long ago and felt it was good value for the money.
Those are awesome! We've never really wanted to slab. Personally like the idea of being able to take them out
I have the black ones and they are amazing. I like to read my comics so I like that I can take them out. And I can change out books for display.
Great review. I been going back and forth about sending my comics to be graded, and I never felt comfortable. These look like a great alternative.
This is cool. I just bought a few, they have the 4 connecting xmen cover coming later this year this will be perfect for those
These look really cool ive got the 2nd app of moonkight (WBN 33) and 1st app of John stewert/2nd guy gartner (both fascimiles) I can use these for maybe!😊
Thank you for reviewing this... I have been seeing them in my Facebook feed and peaked my interest.
Hella review my guy💪😁 got to get me a couple of these for sure.
I use the Ultra Pro Comic Preserver and the One Touch cases by them. They are amazing. Gonna test these out too.
"I'll look at this page and enjoy it", that is what I like hear :D
Same with me, I have slabs, but I've never sent any books in to get graded.
These look like a good option to display them well, while still being able to take them out and enjoying looking at.
im ordering a couple of these to give it a shot. thanks
Hey! This is great! I like your channel!
Very nice product! I might get a few of these for my signed copies 😊
#RAW!!! I’m on my second collection, I own 7 slabs. I’ve never submitted a book for grading.
Good unbiased review of another alternative to slabbing books.
Awesome review, I'll probably pick some of these up because I have a few books I would like to display. I have the same CGC fears you mentioned, so this is a good alternative.
Those are really cool! Like you I've got some books I've thought about getting graded but worry about the cost and something getting damaged, these are a great alternative. Plus they'd be perfect for signed books. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for this review! I definitely am interested in this item. Please share other options like this one. I myself have been using top loaders for awhile! I’m also afraid of sending comics out to Cgc!
These are cool! I hate graded books! Unfortunately, the price point isn't there. It would get to expensive buying these for multiple books. Mylar and two backing boards offer just as much protection. They do seem to being a great alternative if they could get them to $5.
Im curious as to how these look with the bags and boards in them
Are they archival quality? Or are they going to slowly destroy the comics inside? Also you should do a drop test to see if the comic is protected from damage. Fortress was used prior to CGC any many Golden Age key books did get damage inside of them (for being in the case for a long time)
You could get a CGC 9.0 for the $300 that you paid for that raw UF4 book, which is probably closer to an 8-8.5
I believe you. That's part of the reason I don't buy expensive books anymore.
@@comicsaredope My sweet spot for recent purchases is somewhere between $50 - $150, and I'm only buying slabs. The guesswork, turnaround time, and cost of direct submitting is costly, time consuming, and stressful. Most of the Jim Lee issues of Uncanny X-Men are undervalued and most of the issues that don't have legit key-issue potential tend to have iconic covers. I picked up 9.8s of #256 (1st New Psylocke) for $129, #257 (1st Jubilee in costume) for $89, and Alpha Flight #33 (1st Lady Deathstrike) for $100. I also picked up Scott Snyder's Wytches #1 (Sean Gordon Murphy Midtown Variant) for $45 in 9.8.
The only raw comics I'm buying are reader copies for the nostalgia and I'm not spending more than $5 on any single issue. I still have a short box of Silver, Bronze, and Copper keys that I need to press and clean but not sure about submitting.
Thank you for the video but kind of expensive
Wayyyy over priced!
I like these, but I don’t like the price.
I haven’t done much looking at alternatives. But $10 seems reasonable for display purposes. I wouldn’t look to replace my bags & boards with them. But for the occasional display book, I don’t mind.
keep em' grade free, Non-CGC, Vegan graded
No thanks 👍. If I wanted a cheap form of protection I’d get mylites. No need to use a pretend version of CGC, which I love their service.
to me, the point of this product isn't protection. It's displaying. But the UV treatment is a plus.
@@comicsaredope UV is nice
A lot of RUclipsrs are shilling this thing, the fee must be nice.
I wasn’t paid for this review. They did send the capsules for free in exchange for my honest thoughts.
