Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!😁
That was great thanks. I had an Australian Newsstand version of Amazing Spider-man # 361 I still Have Spawn #1, and I swapped a "What IF" comic with a friend for a Damaged New Mutants# 98. The cover was pretty bad but the rest was fine and it was way cooler than owing a "What If" comic about Captain America
Grew up with a friend that had almost all of these as that was our teen era and he would buy comics all the time. He got me into it with my first X-men comic I ever read.

Your videos are looking better and better Dave. I have a bunch of these books thanks to your advice. Deadpool, Gambit, Carnage really great long term holds. I keep dollar cost averaging by buying one 9.8 a month 😅
I remember watching news videos of adults saying that the comics they bought would help pay for their kids college fund. Their kids’ kid’s college funds, maybe. Oh the 90s, it was a special decade.

I have 7 of the books in this list. I don’t have the Mario bros. The bone. And the first appearance of hell boy. I must admit I wasn’t a big hell boy fan. I always. Thought. x or the mask would be bigger deals than hell boy. Deadpool and spawn 1 were massive creations back in the 90s. Also lobo should be in here.
I'm glad to see some comics on here I have. When I was a kid I had the the supporting books where Cletus Kasady was first intro and first cameo of Carnage. 361 is his first full app. Maximum Carnage run is also a good investment.
@@ComicBookInvestments But it's not a cameo. A cameo is two or three panels. Gambit's in at least two pages. But many collectors don't want to admit that because they're scared the value of their X-Men 266 will go down. What fans may "think", and what actually IS, are two different things.
Great video as always! I would like to add to the Harley Quinn part that you did that I think some of the biggest exposure and popularity boom that she got came from the Arkham franchise and particularly the first game. There were people I know that never even heard of Batman that played that game and were cosplaying as Harley Quinn the next day 😜
you can still grab raw gambit books dirt cheap I've been watching the bubble pop on many books the past 3 months and they will come down more just like cards did in the early 90's watch and see
Another great video! Just picked up a second copy of NM 98. Not a 9.8- neither of my copies are. My original I bought off the shelf and didn’t bag and board it right away. 😬 Both are probably 9.2-9.4. We will see when I finally send them off.
Crazy out of all the comics printed in the 90's only a handful are worth anything. I got a bunch of those books but I got Spawn#1 Black and White cause it's a more rare and better book.
Interesting, I have five of these comics in my personal collection: first Cable, first Gambit, first Carnage, first Deadpool, and two of Spawn. I might even have Batman Beyond.
Yep his first true appearance is X-Men Annual#14 but X-Men#266 is considered his first appearance and the money book and I think it's because it has a better cover which is stupid.
Dave- this was sincerely one of my favorite videos. A great combination of great pacing and great info to help any collector. Great job. I’ll keep this one on my save list.
My collection has first appearance of Gambit, Rogue, Sabertooth, and a slew of signed comics by Mike Wieringo. A run of Journey into Mystery (30 books). I have yet to get them appraised. Been toting them with me since 1993. 1,300 books in total.
You got all the great books in the 90s the only thing I would tell you to do a swap the Batman adventures and the new mutants in the provider I think that they Batman adventure book has a lot more bandwidth and they were a lot more copies produced
To spend ten grand for a Spawn #1 is crazy. There are too many of them in circulation. Whoever bought that took a loss. Thats like buying an X-Men #1 9.9 grade for ten grand,
I’d be curious to see you do an update video on these same books… They are all dropping big time ASM 300 went up to $8,500, now it’s only going for $3,000… Should have sold my entire collection a few years ago! Also it’s a crime that didn’t mention Spiderman 1 platinum… One of the ONLY books that actually continues to rise in value!
The old OG Image Comics artists appears to be seven but there is a 8th. He’s not there because those artists just switched their art styles to his and then found huge success. Masamune Shirow.
Dude. You have definitely missed one, in 1996 there was Doom Knee Deep In the Dead. It is now worth over $7000.00. The reprints from the Doom Eternal Box Set are going for Hundreds. You mentioned the Mario Comic? This was far far more influential and Valuable. If you do another list you must put this on it.
Curious how low of a grade folks would go on a graded book? The 9.8 premium is pretty hefty, would a 9.4/9.6 be a decent alternative (though clearly with not as high returns)?
Excellent data Dave. Thanks for posting. I wonder what the Wizard 1/2 issue of Bone might be worth, as it's the only Bone comic I have ever owned. My copy of Spawn #1 was signed by Todd at FAO Schwartz in Manhattan back in 1994 when he was there selling his toy line. He also signed my copy of Spawn #4 and he dated that book, but not #1. They have been untouched since then. As CGC won't verify the signatures, my option will be CBCS. I will be submitting them soon. Best to all.

I found a pretty affordable Batman Adventure’s 12 this week it’s a 7.0 I saw it when I went in to my LCS for Twig and TMNT 128 😅I did a gasp and asked about the book I was going to wait until FCBD but I arranged a payment plan cause I didn’t have the full total that day And it’s a good thing I went back in and put 💰 down cause someone else was about to ask about it and it wouldn’t have lasted until Saturday
