    Halló, from Argentina,
Your Spanish is actually good, Hrafna! Brilliant pronunciation. It's curious that Icelandic shares some sound features that resemble the Spanish from Spain. The accents in Latin America are diverse. The Argentinian, for example, is strongly influenced by the Italian accent.
I'd also love to learn your ancient and fascinating language, the skaldic poetry. You have to read a poem written by one of our most famous writers, Jorge Luis Borges called "Islandia"*
Your channel looks interesting too, I'm going to take a look... :)
¡Buena suerte! / Gangi þér vel!
    * Poem here
    Islandia

“Cría cuervos y te sacarán los ojos” is a popular saying that refers to the ingratitude of people.
Basically, you’ve done so much for someone, and instead of showing gratitude, they behave badly towards you.
It's often used to refer to children (whom you have raised) that turn against you at some point.
Also, most of the times it’s your fault, because you were not good enough ‘raising’ (children, for example) and the resulting something or someone turns out to be bad. In this last case, a similar saying in english would be “you reap what you sow”.
    Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽 🤗

    • @QuantumPandita
      @QuantumPandita 4 года назад +3

    • @jesusr.6588
      @jesusr.6588 4 года назад +3

If you watch Mörges you'll see how she murders english with her icelandic accent, but funnily enough she gets closer to (european)spanish pronunciation of "s" and "c". The less english you're influenced by, the best you speak other languages amirite

Halló, ég fletti upp íslenskum staðalíferðum og fann leiðina þína, mér þykir mjög vænt um rásina þína. Ástæðan fyrir því að ég horfði það upp er vegna þess að ég var að spila roblox með systur minni og fólk var að segja hluti um okkur, sem voru ekki satt.

    In italiano :
(Very better style)
(Voler bene = amare)
Quiero = voglio or desidero or amo or voler bene

@@kamilakavallini6305 Yes, they are tongue twisters, and they are 4 different translations of one of the sentences submitted to Hrafna, i.e. "Como quieres que te quiera" and so on.
By the way, in italian "Cavallini" means "little horses" 😄

I'm very lucky because I'm Italian and Spanish is the closest language to Italian.
I can understand 80-85% of spoken Spanish (except when it spoken very quickly) and 90-95% of written Spanish.
For the record, English is my favourite language but just when it's spoken in Received Pronunciation (Queen's English).
P.S. Your channel is very interesting!

Spanish was my first language growing up and English my fourth. I think it’s awesome anytime someone takes the time to learn other languages. So kudos to you for doing such. Remember Spanish just like any other language has different accents such as Spanish from Spain or Venezuela (the “TH”) sound very different then Spanish from Mexico. Just like English from England, USA California, USA Texas etc. Great job 👍🏼

Hola from Perú, I just discovered your channel and have many questions but I guess they already asked you so, i´ll figure it out later; try this trabalenguas: el cielo está PARANGARIcutirimiCUARIZADO, quien lo logre desenPARANGARIcutirimiCUARIZAR, gran desenPARANGARIcutirimiCUARIZADOR de cielos PARANGARIcutirimiCUARIZADOS será. PARANGARICUTIRIMICUARIZAR is a not a verb, just a funny word that I heard it in CHESPIRITO, a mexican comedy actor who, the most latinamerican from 1970's, 80´s, 90´s grew up with, check it out: ruclips.net/video/rCp3BHtswwY/видео.html
