Some words are natural tongue twisters, but not every word - I am upper intermediate level in Icelandic and Norse, and I can read Icelandic words that I know automatically and Icelandic words that I have seen before very fast!
Icelandic is a Germanic language, and Germanic languages are the easiest languages ever - I know that Norse languages may look very intimidating at first sight, but Icelandic and Norse are actually very easy to learn and speak, almost as easy as Dutch, and Dutch is the easiest language to learn, after English which is the easiest language ever created in every way!
Icelandic is the most beautiful language in the world, at least in my opinion.

Yes, such videos would be very helpful, especially if read slowly, and they should also have the hardcoded Icelandic subs (with text that is very easy to read) and optional English subs that can be translated to multiple target languages - they could be used for both active learning and relaxation!

@@polyglotemsmaru5731 yeah, I can feel the struggle 😂 but I'm sure he'll eventually be able to do it, if he loves you and either likes the czech language or likes phonetics (like I do, I'm studying linguistics at the university ahah). After all the ř is a unique czech sound (it does not exist in other languages, as far as I know) and it's pretty hard to get it right for someone who's not czech, unless they're trained / skilled.

I am upper advanced level in Dutch and upper intermediate level in Icelandic and Norse and advanced level in Norwegian and intermediate level in Welsh - I highly recommend learning these heavenly languages 2gether, as they are way too pretty not to know!

I really love your accent when you speak English ! This is very new to me cause every other foreign accent in English irritates me but yours is very soft and feminine ! You are the first Icelandic woman I have seen in my life so now every time someone speaks with your accent I immediately think "oh she speaks like Hrafna" !

Discovered this lovely, how smooth and aerial language, by listening to Víkingur Ólafsson's interpretations on the piano. I remember trying to pronounce his complete name, and Icelandic toponyms too, like Þingvellir and Egilsstaðir (the funniest try was with Svalbarðsstrandarhreppur)

I was wondering if maybe you could do a video (or just simply answer through a comment, I´m not picky) on how much budget should a person prepare for a visit, let´s say staying a week. Obviously just an estimate since it highly depends on the person himself, but it would be cool to have an estimate from someone local about shop prices, hotel/airbnb prices, car rental, eating out, best time to visit etc. Also you could maybe include some comparison on how much do you spend on just shopping and cooking vs eating out and give some more tips on what is a good idea to do for free (like your hiking videos) vs things that you should not miss even though they are not free. Thanks a lot!

@@steffanwamsley7575 Though I found them humourous (such as the inextricable Inkan chicken mention) they were also a bit surprising ("Islam and Isis will prevail" @ 10:54). Wow, RUclips.
As a linguistically impaired individual I would have enjoyed even a rough translation as expressions that convey no context are often hilarious and utterly baffling in English.
It would be amazing if you will be able at some point, to make some more 'teaching icelandic' videos, but with lessons like, colors, months, days e.t.c. I love your language and here in Greece it's very hard to find someone to teach you! If you ever visit Greece, check out my island, Kos, i will happily show you arround, you will love it!! Hi Hrafna. I was born in the Canary Islands (Spain), and now I live and work in Madrid. I visited your country last summer and fell in love with it...as far as start thinking of moving there in the future...or at least go for more visits and continue exploring it.

you'll manage with practice! I couldn't either until I was 23 y.o. Then I practiced a lot and then managed. It's not hard once you've understood how you do it.
