The audio interface is made to communicate with a D.A.W. (ABELTON, FL, REASON) and allows you to record to a track in the DAW. So if you have a 4 input interface you can record each input into 4 separate tracks in whatever D.A.W. you're using at the same time.
Important question please: if I connect the headphone jack via a TRS cable to a SINGLE monitor will I hear the full output of the stereo or will I lose half of it (lose the right speaker output?) Thx much in advance!
I'm having problems finding a dual xlr to 3.5 cable that allows space so I can move speakers apart.. they all are so close together that I cant seperate speakers to do a proper Left and right setup
Will this work with an I pad instead of the laptop as I run fl mobile on my I pad and would love to be able to connect my studio monitors to my I pad ...?? Plz let me no thanks
Hey! Yeah you should be able to get this to work with a cable such as this (double check it is a male xlr conection on your speakers but it is on my yamaha hs7s www.amazon.com/TISINO-Stereo-Breakout-Double-Cords/dp/B07K58L9MW/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=xlr+to+3.5mm+y+cable&qid=1606334678&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQ1ZHUURZT0dRMTQmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTEwMzQyMTVTM0FNRDFCQ0tRSjImZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDgwODk0NE04RVVYWjNPWUFWMyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
I tried this and got an odd result. The only way it would work (correctly) was if I panned the computer output fully to the left or right. If the output was centered, the speaker only outputs the difference between the left and right channels. I believe it's because the cable, as described, acts as an unbalanced stereo, where the monitor input is expecting a balanced mono input.
Hello, Pretty new to all this. I got some JBL LSR305's from a friend that Im trying to connect to an Echo Dot (3.5mm Audio output). Notes: The 2 Studio Monitors have a Balanced XLR and TRS 1/4 Inch each. The output of the Echo Dot or Macbook 3.5mm (unbalanced im assuming?). I found some options i think will work: 1. Option A 2 x 1/8 to 1/4 TRS Stereo Cable and 3.5mm Audio Y Splitter Stereo (3.5mm to 2 x 3.5mm) links: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B083R58TLJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00LM0ZGK6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 2. Option B 1 x 3.5mm TRS to Dual 6.35mm TS Y Splitter Breakout Cord, 1/8 inch Male Stereo to Dual 1/4 Mono Male www.amazon.ca/Devinal-6-35mm-Splitter-Breakout-Stereo/dp/B07QBF6X2K/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=1%2F8+to+1%2F4+cable&qid=1606616014&sr=8-14 The difference is the end going into the Monitors is TS vs TRS. Not sure what would be best. Thank you in Advance!
Hey, thanks for the video, could u make a comparison between the monitors audio with and without the audio interface ?
please do this req

Best explanation I've seen. Good work!

Just wanted to know,, apart from the interference thing, is quality drop really noticeable with the headphone jack?
The audio quality is the same from the headphones to the inbuilt speakers to the monitors.

Really not difficult
You didn't show how the cables plug into the cord for the laptop
