I actually dislike those inbuilt rechargeable batteries. They will eventually wear out and you’ll have to throw the device away. AAA batteries can be replaced. If you’re worried about the waste, there are rechargeable AAA batteries that you can buy.

I'm a bass player and I just sold my GK bass amp. Tired of using it, just want to find some studio monitors and connect my bass guitar to it. I understand I need an interface which I have. Question, I connected my MIDI keyboard, and a notification immediately popped up saying it was connected. However, the green indicator on the track isn't showing, and if I click record and play some notes on the keyboard, nothing happens. No MIDI lines, no audio. Any idea how to fix? Thanks in advance.

It’s not a FireWire connector, nor is it FireWire-like. Why describe it as such? It’s a USB-B connector.
