I love the little detail of Steve wanting to apologize to Jonathan even after all their fighting and tension during this season. He really stepped up. Nancy did too. And Jonathan. They all did their best.
Poor Will though. He finally comes back from the Upside Down only to still be tormented. He survived a while on his own. That boy has survival skills. Can't wait for S2.
I just want to say 28:30 a side effect to cancer is not to lose your hair. That actually happens with chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It is the treatment that causes hair loss not the cancer itself.
I learned that from Breaking bad 😎
And it's better if a cancer patients loose hair during treatment otherwise there would other side effects which more worse
Not all chemotherapy causes complete hair loss, and radiation only causes hair loss on the treated area, and there are some types of cancer than will cause hair loss without any chemo. Cancer is an evil disease and it sucks that the best way to fight is it literally pump the body with poison in hopes that while it kills the cancer tells it doesn’t also damage the healthy cells as well. If cancer has metastasized throughout the body and not caught soon enough the damage that the cancer itself does to the body makes chemotherapy look like the easier option.
Yeah it’s because those therapies target fast growing cells like cancer, but hair also has fast growing cells so it targets hair as well

“Experimenting on kids with cancer” that is the most wildly interesting theory I’ve ever heard anyone make after watching S1. Damn, welp can’t wait til y’all get too S4.

Steve’s turning point moment going back in the house. Sealed the deal for me to make heart eyes at him from season 2 on. They had originally wrote his character as a really bad guy, it was written that he tried to rape Nancy but when Joe Keery read for the part of Steve (he originally auditioned for Jonathan), the Duffers were so taken with his personality and sense of humor that they rewrote the whole character to basically fit him. I can’t ever imagine Steve being like that, thankful they changed their minds. Bring on season 2, the hair upgrade, the Ray-bans, the bat……and the yellow dishwashing gloves?! Hell yeah.
Many people don't catch this, but the stuffed animal in the upside down was actually Eleven's from the lab. I think the point of it is to remind Hopper of his own daughter and show parallels between them as a way to help the audience understand Hopper's background a little better. It also encourages Hopper to fight for Will's life since he wasn't able to save his daughter's. Sarah's stuffed animal was a tiger, while Eleven's was a lion. Also, there is no relation between both Eleven and Sarah having bald heads. Sarah's was just a reaction from cancer treatment, while Eleven's was because of the equipment needed to be able to get a read on her brain waves while she is in the tank.

The lion not bear in the upside down was Wills stuffed animal not Sarah’s bc - remember In the start of seeing ( Castle Byers ). After the demogorgan destroyed it . Bc if you looked closely the stuffed animal Hoppers daughter had was a Tiger not a Lion- that’s what the parallel was.
Oh my God I didn't even notice that Thanks for pointing that out. I thought her and Will just had the same stuffed animal cause the stores always have more than 1 and maybe it just looked like his daughters. I didn't notice they were different

The reason that El has a shaved/short hair is so that the electrodes they place on her head to study her are able to get accurate readings as to what using her powers does to her brain.

- don’t be so hard on them, it’s the 1st season (ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN) they have emotions- they’ll express them
- also there’s pieces of comedy here and there so try to understand jokes before getting defensive it kinda ruins the watching experience when you do that

Mike and Elevens first Epic kiss. I Like that Mike was the little gentleman who made the first move instead of being scared too.
This Episode is Steve's best Episode in Season 1 he stepped up, helped them fight instead of bailing and he Apologized to Jonathan. I'm sure Nathan was waiting for them to get to this episode.

El was a Hero saving her Friends and killing those Monsters both the Demigorgon and the rotten people who tortured poor Eleven and was saving them from the Scientists and the Demigorgon

I Love the Doctor that evil scientists was played by a phenomenal actor and he makes a great villain
Poor Detective Hopper his backstory made me cry it was so depressing. It made him fight to save Will. The Duffer Brothers wrote the story and Shawn Levy directed it
Back to their Board Games the 80s seemed like a fun time back when people still socilized hung out with friends and had fun rather than be on their cell phones and forget how to talk to people and live in isolation. So were the 90s. People still had actual fun. Myles would understand that. This was a Great Season Finale

30:43 i like the theory but it wouldn't really make sense, hoppers daughter was a well enough age to know how to speak and she knew what things was. If that was the case for el and all the other kids in that laboratory they should all know what things mean and how to speak but they only knew, "yes" "no" and "papa" so that right there tell me that hoppers daughter had nothing to do with that science guy and that el and the other kids were stolen at birth by the same science people who so desperately want el, because they raised them to be used as a weapon, i think they cut el's hair as a psychological thing, or maybe the science guy didn't see gender 🤔ORRR they cut all of there hair to track them to put tracker in there head or something cause why else would those scientists know exactly where el is (besides from torturing people) and what i mean is hopper and his used to be wife raised the girl, el didn't havee anyyy clue what shit was so best bet the science took el, and all the other kids right after they were born to raise them into something because they created something so big (demigorgan) and they needed a team of power to defeat it👾

I don't know if y'all noticed but that blue bracelet Hoppers always wearing was his daughters hair tie, ever since her death he’s always worn it so I thought that was an amazing lil detail!!!
