and that's what i love the most about season 2. i remember when the first season was aired a lot of people made fun of noah schnapp saying that he was casted as will because he couldn't act at all so when the second season aired everyone was really surprised to see how amazing his acting skills were. ^^

Eleven considers Hopper her dad.. ya’ll are fine. Someone becoming a dad/dad figure to some doesn’t discredit him being a dad already. Hopper has all the love in the world to share.. I don’t think he’d mind either lol. The father/daughter relationship between them really is so cute as the show goes on. 😭🖤

@@elainecamacho3646 for a good reason. it allowed eleven to live life because she was basically trapped. if max hadn't done that, el would still revolve around mike and wouldn't have any independence.

I love the addition of new characters. While I do appreciate the smaller scale of season 1, it would've gotten stale if the story was limited to only the same characters.
But poor Will. That boy just can't catch a break. At least Mike is being a supportive friend for him.

@@officialtoiletpaper for sure. The Emmy’s have ignored this show for years. Just happy they finally woke up. Maybe they will win a SAG award for whole cast like the first season. The Emmy’s snubbed Selena Gomez in Only Murders in the Building and yet nominated the two older male costars and the show. Makes no sense.
As a Steve and Lucas stan season 1 is always painful to watch but now we’re at season 2! This one is kinda underrated so can’t wait to see the reactions! Hope y’all love it as much as the first :)
Max is my favorite character of the entire show. Her and Dustin are my top two but Max is my number one fave.

Now, i am pretty sure everyone should be empressed my Dacre Montgomerys acting. he is such an insanely good actor. And he portrayed Billy amazingly.

Well in season one they established that they wanted to use El to spy on foreign countries and while experimenting, El made contact with the Demigorgon which caused the gate to be opened. El told Mike and Dustin that she opened the gate and we seen her do it in a flashback.

Both Mike and Nancy are going through grief right now because Mike thinks Elevens dead and Nancy knows Barbs dead and doesn't like lying and hiding it from Barbs parents and she's feeling guilty. Shes thinking she could've been a better Friend and she wants to come clean but has to keep the Upside Down a Secret from her parents
a lot of people say this season is their least fave but honestly it’s my favorite

Smile on my face as soon as I saw this notification! Seasons keep getting better for me personally, like with any show, people can be divided, but it just gets stronger in my opinion. Inclusion of new characters has always been a plus to me and Max is a really good one, but most of all, time for sweet Steve to finally shine 🥰 😍

This season is like falling down a hill. The first few steps are easy, you're setting the stage. Then, it's all hoping you don't trip and fall. It's pretty wild and awesome. Steve and Dustin are the bomb. Will is heartbreaking and his acting is terrifying (top tier). Steve learns some things about himself this season. This whole season is a growing trend.

Since I couldn't see anyone mention it in comments (though I didn't read them all so sorry if said)- S1 takes place in November 1983 (with the coda of the finale being dec 25th-ish with the xmas gift of the camera and such). S2 starts on Oct 29th/30th 1984. Hence the Snow Ball is S1 has indeed already happened. -edited to add years for clarification

And Dr. Owens is Paul Reiser. He was in Alien 2, Carter Burke.
I remember him from Mad About You with Helen Hunt.

As a 6'2" 300lb 34 year old man, I have no problem whatsoever with saying I have a problem with the dark. It's not the dark itself though, it's what may be in the dark that can't be seen. I remember back in elementary school when I was in daycare and a group of us went into a room towards the middle of the building that had no windows and we turned the lights off with the door closed. It was a room that was mainly used for the younger kids that took naps so it kept out pretty much all noise as well. Absolute pitch black and the 5 or 6 of us that were in there could not see each other from just inches apart. One of the others took it upon themselves to sneak to the other side of the room and start making noises that freaked us all the fuck out. Sounded like some Grudge shit.

The fact that you guys never really talk about what Will is going through... He's like the most relevant character at the moment after Eleven. You guys focus on everyone but Will. Nancy/Steve/Jonathan are not really important right now.
