There are rumours that they are going to air it on Stranger Things day and that they recorded it when they did the trailer footage but I'm not sure how true they are. The show is also going to broadway. I'd be willing to bet that they'll open more shows elsewhere and maybe even do a touring show because it has been such a hit!
So, it would seem that this play is building up Henry as *Will's* foil. rather than Eleven's. I think that this is definitely something we will want to keep an eye on, especially when they confirmed that WIll is going to have a huge focus in Season 5.
It feels like they have sort of had nothing for Will to do since the end of season two so a big focus on him would be nice. It started with him and it (might?) end with him!
i saw the show live and im still thinking about all the special effects, trying to watch it again in my head before i go back to London lol, also i love the editing in this video
Updating this to say I saw it again! I saw Louis the time I went and god was HE AMAZING AT ACTING!! as said in the video all of the little things he added to the character were so amazing! And also stated in the video some parts made me feel visibly uncomfortable for him, all the shaking around made me feel like ‘is he alright?’ All I need to see now is the og actor for bob lol
I like how they make Henry more like will I love the story and I’m hoping we see patty in season 5! Henry is tormented just like will the mind flayer just successfully controlling him also patty is just so loving for Henry it’s kinda sweet
@@FandomHype at the end when she was with her mom and saw the lights flickering she didn’t get scared so I’m hopping that means she still really deeply cares for him but fr what they changed for his back story is amazing. He’s just tormented by the doctor to unlock his rage and have the mind flayer take over. I definitely feel for him. He is deep down a good person bc he saves patty’s dad and patty and he also says upfront he doesn’t want to kill people it just they broke his mental state so bad that he changed
@@redsonic2265 A much better back story once you get over the "oh so they changed huh?" - ness of it lol I woulodn't mind seeing Patty in the Netflix show at all I'm just totally over the "I can fix" him trope :/
I recently saw the show. Having watched the tv shows a while . is a great recap, thank you. The show was superb. I loved every second. I would love to see it again.
I really don’t believe that vecna is the main villain. What I see people doing to say he is, is not fully understanding the show. They think el is the main character just because he has powers and all that, she isn’t the only main character the rest of the party is as well.a a RUclipsr I’ve seen made a good comparison Henry is like death Vader he is the five star general, the leader of the mind flares army. The mind flare is the dark lord. One more thing they said Will is going to play a big role in season five if el is the main character and the one to defeat the main villain then what big role can will possibly have? The answer is simple when you think about it el and Henry are like Luke and Vader, while Will and the mind flare are like harry and voldemort. El still believe that there is still good in Henry somewhere deep down like Luke believes that there is good in Vader, will and the mind flare are connected to the mind flare like how harry is connected to voldemort. All that being said, that is why I think that vecna isn’t the main villain.
Probably the best breakdown of the play I can find on RUclips lol I also agree how making the mind flayer the reason he’s evil can contradict his explanation in the show but hopefully it will be cleared up in season 5
Oh thank you for such a lovely comment! Whatever happens in season five I'll probably love it, plot holes just make my brain itch when I notice them lol!
I saw it in february. I loved it. The cast and Stage Props were phenomenal. Was well worth the Money. I flew all the way from germany to See it. So all in all expensive Trip.
Henry going mad over time and then turning into the one we see in Stranger Things season 4 aka the one who killed his sis and mom plus the bunny. I kinda like that
I saw this with my teen a couple of nights ago. I got the £50 per seat tickets at the end of row F in the stalls and we could see everything very well. My teen is more of a fan than I am but I would say the stage show is great, not just good! I hope it gets filmed for Netflix or even a DVD (or both) for the benefit of people who will never manage to see it on stage (and so that I can re-watch it!). We travelled by train and stayed overnight in a hotel to avoid a stressful dash from a matinee to the rail station for a three-hour return trip, so the whole thing was quite pricey and will be outside many fans' budgets. This is a great recap. Thanks!
This whole story is very psychological just what I like about Michaels story they even mentioned the shadow in Halloween resurrection this shadow evil thing corrupting Henry and Michael can be easily just psychological just in their heads but real none the less or supernatural which seems like the case in both lol
Just to clarify history a bit: Shipping American citizens off to internment camps was an egregious violation of the Constitution, and one of the major reasons FDR was a terrible President. However, they weren't sent to "concentration camps." That particular term is reserved for camps established in NAZI Germany, and were MUCH worse than the internment camps.
The definition reads: "A concentration camp (or internment camp) is a place where a government forces people to live without trial." - Sooo... not 'much' of a difference there and either way? Biiiiiig YIKES!
@@FandomHype Yeah, you're right. Definitionally there isn't much difference, but culturally there is. There is a certain sinister connotation that arises in the mind when you think of a "concentration camp." But "internment camp" doesn't evoke the same feeling. You know what I mean?
13:35 what is wrong with people, who cares what there preferences are, it's stranger things, if you're not in it for the whole cast and the actual show, watch something else.
It doesn't make sense. The upside down is due to ..... How does Henry connect with the upside down? I'm afraid Jungian psychology about the "shadow" doesn't justify the upside down. Either the upside down is real or its just a psychological pretext. It can't be both. Find another plot. This one is basically the plot of "Lost". A whole lot of smoke and mirrors, with interesting characters but no coherence.
I'm hoping they explain it and it actually makes sense, I don't want it to be a J. J. Abrams and his "mystery box" method situation here but that is my fear going into S5 :/
I mean they have to have filmed a Netflix released version or will very soon . I think they would release it before s5 comes out . And so this retcons or was always intentional(?) saying Henry was in fact possessed by the mind flayer/entity from another dimension. I wonder if the duffers didn’t like the fans reaction to Vecna being the main villain instead of TMF. I honestly didn’t like him being the main villain , I liked the lore and mystery of TMF
If they don't put it on Netflix they are missing out so it makes a lot of sense! I could be wrong and they meant for TMF to be the big bad all along but a lot of people came away from S4 thiking it was Vecna like I did so if that was their intention they foreshadowed it badly :/ Or it's meant to be a 'twist' in S5 maybe?
It was def always the intention. The lights flicker multiple times in flashbacks and it's made clear Henry isn't doing it + Dustins comment about the mind flayers army + the duffers saying they still have things to reveal about the mind flayer and Henry and saying the question of s5 is if he still has any humanity left in him
I really hope Netflix records the play and puts it on Netflix. Especially if it's canon to the main series. It's like paying for a $800+ season. XD
It is canon I watched it
