Except not really because the circumstances are different. Mike felt like the girl he fell in love with and died right in front of their eyes is being replaced and no one else cares. Lucas was mad for pretty much no reason

mike didn’t. eleven was never apart of the group… she was just apart of mike’s life and the others accepted her even though they never had a relationship until right before she disappeared. y’all so slow

nancy is a complex, broken girl who feels like no one is listening to her or being taken seriously. shes going through the trauma of losing her best friend as well as losing herself. shes one of my favorite characters and hopefully u guys will start to warm up to her despite her faults like you did with jonathan and steve as well

Billy definitely leaves a strong impression. Didn't get too much of him in the first episode but he makes his presence known in this one.
For most of S1, Will was stuck in the Upside Down. So it's nice to see how he interacts with his other friends. And how Mike is really protective of him. Which makes sense. For most of S1, Mike's mind was constantly worried on if Will was okay. He lost him once, so now he doesn't want to ever lose him again.
Can't believe when you guys were trying to figure out what else Bob has been in that you didn't think of Lord of the Rings. He was Sam.

The thing with Nancy is whenever she sees Steve she sees that she chose him over her friend and that caused her demise. So she has a disdain for him an unliking bc that’s what she sees and feels being with him. So those thoughts came out finally being drunk.
The thing is however, it’s not his fault. She made the decision to sleep with him

You not going to feel happy you going to blame your likeness for this person. If she would of never went with Steve it would of never happened so that’s all she can possibly think about. No one saying she’s blaming Steve it’s that most likely how she feels knowing being with him got her friend killed. Comprehension matters.

I just recently read someone say Eleven wanted and knew to dress like a ghost because Mike and the gang are ghostbusters so if she dressed like that he can find her which makes senseeee thats why I like to watch things multiple times so I think about the background and symbolism when im watching stuff for the first time I just pay attention to whats in front of me but when I rewatch I discover new things ..and of course the costume is good for being secretive about her identity..

I have a lot of compassion for nancy. She's only what 16? This is probably the first time shes been THIS drunk, she's been through a lot of trauma. She's hurt and doesn't really know what she's saying or doing. That doesn't make it all okay, but it at least warrants sympathy. You can sympathize with people without justifying their action.s

I suggest paying a little more attention to smaller details and dialogue or turning subtitles on in case you miss things lol Billy hates Steve because he was the original “hot guy top dog dickhead” that “ran” the place, then he started dating Nancy and getting his shit together and pretty much stepped down from all of that to be better and do better for not only Nancy but himself too (he’s trying to get his grades up as shown in ep 1 of this season.) Billy wants that spot Steve had, but doesn’t like that Steve changed because he doesn’t believe Steve was “hard” enough to be that guy or that he deserved that title to begin with because Billy sees him as a better nicer person than what we saw in Season 1. They talk about this during the party but it seems you might’ve been distracted with something else during that dialogue leading to your confusion during those party scenes lol

Yay!!! I can’t wait for this season to really get cooking. Mike and Nancy are really going through a lot and their parents have no clue. It must be hard for them. Also I felt bad for Mike and Will. It seems like their friends are moving on from what happened but Mike is missing El and Will has some PTSD.

And what she did to him at the party was downright terrible. I could even hear the moment Steve’s heart broke. Like I get it she can’t tell the truth about what happened to Barb. But the government was breathing down their necks still. And moreover, is that she takes it out on him. Who literally did nothing wrong. I really couldn’t blame him for being angry with her the following episode. As he had every right to be

no spoilers but it annoys me to the core that ppl actually likes billy when he's a character that was written to be hated , like i get it he's an interesting character but not one to be loved. this season is a big one for eleven , she's finally gonna get some answers and learn more about herself and her situation. i love will and jonathan's relationship is one of my favorites

people act like he has no responsibility and it's all his dad's fault, and while his dad's abuse is most likely what makes him act the way he does, many many children who are abused are not like their parents and choose to do better. he had a choice and chose to be just like his dad and continue this cycle of abuse on his little step sister. el was abused, jonathan too by his dad pretty sure (,hell even max is abused by billy and explicitly states how she never ever wants to be anything like him), many people irl unfortunately are abused, they don't all turn out like billy and people acting like billy has no responsibility here are just diminishing the effort and struggle abused kids go through to do better. and once again,billy is also racist. nothing from s3 can erase that.

I very much so appreciate how fast you guys are getting through series. Some RUclipsrs I watched takes them six seven months to complete a season.
The Duffer Brothers grew up in the 1980s so they've experienced th 80s era enough and they were inspired by their real life as nerdy kids who actually dressed up as the Ghostbusters for Halloween as kids and they were smart always building things and playing board games. If you watch Beyond Stranger Things. You'd know which is why they did a 1980s show adaptation justice and was able to bring that decade to life. They didn't modernize it with today's slang. They kept it traditional to the 80s.

I'm gonna be honest, the only reason I can really see why you would hate Nancy as much as you do is misogyny. It's deranged to blame her for Barb's death, when it's literally not something she could control. Imagine if you went out with one of your friends and decided to hook up with a girl, and he tried to make you feel bad, and you told him you would be alright and to just go home. And then he doesn't listen to you and stays, and something happens to him. Sure, you'd probably feel guilt, but no sane person would look at you and say it's your fault. Now, she's dealing with trauma and a boyfriend who wants to brush it all under the rug instead of helping her deal with it, so she's get angry. And then while she's drunk at a party, he abandons her there and leaves her to find her own way home, despite knowing all the things that can happen to drunk girls who are alone at a party. And don't get me wrong, Steve is my favorite character. But the the fact that you're lumping Nancy in with PAPA, a man who kidnapped and experimented on children, is insane. Nancy truly hasn't done anything that bad. And this ALWAYS happens with female characters who do even the slightest thing wrong. You judge her way more harshly than you do a man who's done worse.

It’s not always serious to the point where someone has to be a bad person if they dislike a character. Not everyone is going to like a character. None of us hate nancy we just joke about her character a lot

It's not a coincidence that the only people I've ever seen hate Nancy are men. Recognizing misogyny doesn't make you a bad person. It literally exist in all forms of society. So don't view this as an attack, but me pointing out that you may benefit from a deeper examination of why you feel the way you do about a certain character. And overall I do really enjoy these reactions and will continue watching.
