Steve is the only one who showed up to Lucas's game. I don't even think his folks were there. Proving that Steve is the best parent these kids have.
No parents in Indiana would miss a championship bball game involving the team their child plays on.....even if that child never got off the bench. Lucas' parents not being there was unrealistic.
Just because they didn't show his parents in the audience doesn't necessarily mean that they weren't there. They could have been watching in the back; most of the parents are pretty irrelevant to most of the storylines so that could explain why they weren't shown

It's confirmed by the actors that Chrissy and Jason are 17-18 while Eddie is 19-20, and they were all gonna graduate that year. But yeah, Eddie comes off as intense at first just bc he's very dramatic, but he's actually a nice guy once people get to know him and Joseph Quinn's performance adds so much charisma.

Just wanna say when you review Max's character and the decisions she made in the series, she is also going through depression. Which she portrayed greatly. Her character is very relatable. So i hope you consider that factor before you judge her negatively bcs what they are showing in this season is very real. What she's feeling is valid.

i don’t think either lucas, mike, or dustin are in the wrong there. they’re growing up, and trying to find themselves.
And it's not like they were going to some random poker night. This is a campaign they have been playing for a semester. This was their championship game.
I don’t think you guys are realizing Max is going through depression. Depression makes you experience every negative emotion at once(sadness, guilt, anger, worthlessness, loneliness, etc.).It makes you want to not be around people you love because you feel guilty feeling like that around them when you KNOW they love you even when your mind tells you they don’t. Max obviously loves Lucas and still wants to support him but she’s unintentionally pushing him off because she more than likely feels like a burden. She probably feels like everybody’s trying to be happy while she’s moping and bringing down the mood. Look at how she dresses now and keeps her hair. Look at how she doesn’t ride her skateboard to school anymore(the bus). Look at how she wears headphones frequently to tune the world out now.
Mike and Dustin’s pov is that they’re being true to themselves. They don’t understand the need to change from being nerds to becoming popular. For the record, they wanted to go to the game and support Lucas and tried to convince Eddie to move the Hellfire event. Unfortunately, Eddie didn’t agree on that - either they come to Hellfire event or get kicked out of it (which is crucial since highschool kids wanna feel like they belong to a group).
It’s not Lucas’ fault either since he’s tired of the constant bullying as he’s been part of the nerd clique since forever (refer to season 1&2 where the 4 boys are getting constantly picked on by the bullies).
Ultimately, they just want different things now and they’re outgrowing their friendship. It’s not a bad thing. No one’s at fault. It’s just life.
You just gotta decide whether your gonna support your childhood friend, best friend, and friend who you’ve been through life and death together, or staying in a dnd club.
You guys finally made it to the best season of Stranger Things. You guys aren’t gonna be ready for this season😭 Enjoy it!

I love how everyone's reaction to Chrissy getting everything broken is the same. No matter how many times I watch this or watch other people everyone is left in shock. This season really is different! The horror aspect of the show was just upped like crazy! My favorite season no doubt! Stranger Things does not disappoint! ❤ Trust me, Eddie really grows on you!

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show. I liked the 80s high school horror vibe of this episode. It's not necessarily overtly horrific until the very end but I just had so much fun with the season premiere. Also love how in the thumbnail everyone is all smiles lol.

I believe in sinclair superiority, absolutely my favorite siblings!! Lucas has gotten so much unnecessary hate over the years when he’s honestly one of the best characters. In season 3 he came through sooo many times esp w the fireworks!! If it wasn’t for that everyone would be gone gone he saved them a lot of time. I agree that dustin and mike should’ve been there and the fact that people are so adamant about blaming lucas for branching out makes me soooo mad. Let the boy have other interests and get some escape from bullying if he wants. It’s not like he said he was gonna get popular and abandon them. Also you quite literally have to go to the championship game regardless if you’re on the bench or not. Idk i feel like everyone immediately jumps down lucas’s throat the second he does anything and he is never afforded the same grace other characters are. i believe that it’s getting darker because the actors got older they not little kids anymore and some of us viewers grew up too i remember i started watching it when i was 16,17 im 21 now so im glad they went hella dark i love horror shows with supernatural elements and the gruesome of it!

max is depressed and going through a lot, which is obviously why she’s pushing lucas and her other friends away. but she was listening to the game on her radio even though she couldnt be there to support lucas. so, that shows that she still wants to be there for him but isnt in the right mental stare.
also, will obviously isn’t going to be able to help el. he was literally bullied his whole life and couldnt even stand up for himself, how’s he going to stand up for el. joyce implied that he was being bullied by his own father too. like, what’s the kid supposed to do…
i dont get why they just threw eleven into high school or even why she doesn’t have extra help at school considering that she has never been to school. she grew up in a lab… this is like the 2nd time she’s seen so many human being at once other than the mall.

Yay, this is my favorite season! This season is so dark and crazy and really channels a horror vibe. Eddie’s the best already! I really liked him and Chrissy’s dynamic. Wished she could’ve stayed around longer, but her death was wild. Eddie is scarred for life now after seeing that. Btw, Chrissy is a senior. She’s 18 and Eddie is 20, so they’re both adults.
It most certainly gave a warning at the beginning. It mentioned fulminant before the Texas school shooting and that some images may be disturbing and then after that, top left corner it always says “fear, language, smoking, disturbing images, gore” and then gives the warning for strobing light effects.
So excited for y’all to be on this season now , nice to see Nathan react to something he hasn’t seen before lol . Funny that y’all know the “Chrissy wake up” from tik tok

Oh man...I am psyched. YO, QUICK NOTE: major actor from "Teen Wolf" season 4, Garrett, the boy Orphan is the same dude who is the Captain of the Basketball team this "year" in Hawkins High School. If ya'll knew how long it took for me to make the connection. It's sad.
Also follow the progression of the horror. It is like how most folks watched scary movies back then (unless you came from a family like mine where "The Exorcist" was playing for our big Easter/my birthday/my cousin's bithday celebration when I was 5ish). But like how parents used the rating system to let their kids watch movies but once you were in high school, most parents knew you were going to watch pretty intense rated R horror movies with friends or at their houses. And the horror was different in the 80's then it was in the 70's. Not better...just different. There was moments of more implied menace, recognizable buckets of fake blood. Then the 80's had so many slashers.

The reason Hop was in the trailer was because they dropped a S4 teaser in like Feb 2020 that showed him alive not knowing that the season wasn’t gonna be out for another two years because of Covid delays. So everyone already knew hopper was alive

We tried to warn ya'll about this season its very intense, dark, and funny. I think season 4 is my favorite season of the show because it definitely keeps you on your toes I binge watched the whole part 1 in a day.

I've said this to a couple reactor groups reacting to S4. I think you can't expect much from Will defending-el-from-bullying wise. Will went through horrible bullying, and we even see people continue to bully him even after his supposed 'death' in S1. And he gets the worst of it throughout the series, especially in S2. He also has gotten the worst of nearly everything, seeing as not only has he had a rough childhood (implied physical abuse when jonathan visited lawnie's house in s1, and when lawnie pushed him and jonathan pushed back, lawnie said 'you've gotten stronger', implying that they are now at least older to fight back against abuse from their dad) Will has also lacked fundamentals of growing up the average person does, and people moved on really quickly from that. He snapped at Mike and Lucas in season 3, and that was my confirmation for him questioning his sexuality (Imagine if you are questioning your sexuality in the 80s, and your closest friend says "it's not my fault you don't like girls" - that would hurt a lot coming from the person you trust the most (and perhaps like)), so not only is Will still trying to catch up and grow up along with his friends, he is unfamiliar with protecting others, since he was the one people always needed to protect. And if you went through severe bullying, and see someone you love go through it, even though you'd want to help them even more, since you know what they are going through, it's almost like a defense mechanism in your brain that doesn't allow you to step in and take action. Will struggles with courage and confidence, and you can't blame him when he also panics in a probably traumatizing situation. He cried both times this episode when El was picked on, so you can see how much it upsets him and how panicked he is himself. So with everything he went through, and everything he goes through in this situation, I don't hold anything whatsoever against him.

What Max is going through is depression and guilt. Sadie Sink owned this season and you will see why soon enough.
They didn't spoiled hopper in the trailer. A teaser for it was released really early, like a year later since S3 ended. And it was hopper in Russia working.. y'all will see. But yeah when the trailer dropped it was already known he was alive.
It’s finally here I promise this season has 4 of the 5 top episodes of the entire show. Like you don’t understand this is probably a bottom 3 episode this season and it’s fucking better than 75% of the previous episodes.
