So... we all just going to ignore the whole time at the beginning when Delilah was on the open mic and talking about Henry to somebody else saying "He doesn't know." Also, that whole campsite with the towers and solar grid soil etc, that was not NED, bro, this game has to have a different ending or hopefully a prequel to a second game. There was way too much Lore going on. The data as far as their personality traits, susceptibility to manipulation, their traits etc... there was an actual study being taken place here, not just some dude worried about his dead son being caught. Ned was the fall guy in the whole thing for this at the end there to try and close out any further questions. THIS SOME CIA TYPE ISH.

The papers with the personality traits were written by Ned. You can actually find the failed attempts with typos in his bunker
Played the game a few times, thats the only ending, though you can choose wether you enter the helicopter or not, it doesnt make difference.
But Delilah had to lie about atleast a few things.
First of all you cant tap a radio thats not how radios work, and I guess its fine that henry didnt know but delilah had to know cause shes been working with them all day for years.
Also she had to know about wapiti station. She can clearly see the station from her tower in the game.
Another thing is that in the end, when you enter the cave and find the body delilah says something like "be careful I dont wanna lose anyone else in there" like she already knows about the body. Ah and when you find the clipboard with the messages written down on it she kinda doesnt seem suprised and it seems like she is trying to play it down as not a bit deal.
The Delilah thing was more so meant as a red herring, the campsite with the grid was a group of scientist but Ned snuck in bc the scientists were not there for the summer

I loved this play through, it was so funny.
It was honestly just interesting at times to watch Case play this as relationship saving simulator occasionally, just knowing the end, context, and all the other play-throughs I watched loved these two characters.
The way I always saw it is Henry’s character is out there to get away from everything. He doesn’t like watching his wife fade away, that’s incredibly difficult.
Yes Delilah referenced her wanting to spend time with him and sounded like she was flirting at times, but she is the type of person to try and get to know the people she’s going to spend *A LOT* of time with. She referenced how she didn’t get along with Ned, probably because he didn’t seem interested in talking about non important topics or didn’t like her personality.
I always got the impression Henry didn’t want to say goodbye to his wife, but he kind of already did in a different way. Once he got to know Delilah, they became friends and in the really sad circumstance his wife passed away, he may have someone in the future.
The elderly especially do that when they lose their significant other, it’s a way to cope.
Never saw it as, “lets get together right now!”
It was also very annoying chat spoiled that one part in the cave thinking he missed it when it didn’t happen yet.
I definitely loved this play through, it was just interesting to see someone not liking/not trusting Delilah’s character like all the other play throughs I watched.
Delilah gave off desperate homewrecker vibes. She knew he was married and Julia was still alive, yet tried to emotionally manipulate her way into his mind and tried to connect with him in a very inappropriate way. The dialogue between me and her would've been shut down very early if I were Henry. It's disgustingly disrespectful.

I don’t even think it’s possible to become a couple in the game which I wouldn’t agree with either.
I’m just saying it’s not cut and dry, because all of the other people that played this game would’ve reacted the same way, but they didn’t. Not saying some of the things she said weren’t bad.
Idk, it was certainly a choice to name her Delilah, out of all the names. Not to mention, the observation report mentions her being selfish and having multiple lovers
@@a-a-rondavis9438 i think delilah kind of redeems herself at the end. I played through firewatch a few times and have exhausted most of the dialogue options. There are options at the end to try and convince Delilah to meet up with you and possibly start a romance. But, regardless of what you say, delilah would shut you down and tell you to go visit Julia and stop running away from your problems. I think its also worth mentioning that they are both in lookout towers, deep in a Wyoming forest, desiring companionship because they're lonely so I can't blame Delilah for flirting with Henry a bit because she's a loner.

It was the first time I felt such an intense amount of disappointment in a story.
The whole trend of cool, beautiful, thought-provoking indie games that have no real ending or answers is such a bummer. They all have this attitude like “Well, that’s how life is. Not everything gets answered.”

It was cool because it was one of the first like that that got popular. It was unique enough at the time and the art style was super cool. Now it just comes off as pretentious and very 🤓 emoji esque.

I agree but also think theres a place for games like this where its just the experience and less about the narrative beats. What Remains of Edith Finch doesn't really have an "ending" but the journey was amazing. I felt the same with Firewatch even though the ending left me pretty bored

The Journey is more beautiful than the destination, and this journey was truly amazing. The audio and visuals are soothing. There is a deeper meaning to this game, it's not what it looks like, the real story requires a mature audience.

I think the reason Delilah led Henry on is because according to Ned's Notes she is still dating her boyfriend. Their flirty relationship was just escapism for both of them.
