I don't think some people understand why Max is so different this season. She doesn't have that liveliness she usually has. Because she's in depression. That's what depression does to you. You isolate yourself even from your loved ones. It actually has nothing to do with Lucas.

Will being so excited to see Mike (only for everything to be awkward so he lost the nerve to show him the painting he was holding) followed by Will folding the painting in half as he walks behind El and Mike is heartbreaking.
Vecna seems to target people with trauma or experiences that instill guilt and immeasurable amounts of pain. Chrissy felt bad about her body because of her mom body shaming her. Fred was the only survivor in a car crash when he was the driver which leads to him feeling like a murderer even though it was an accident. I have more to say on why Vecna targets these specific victims but we’re gonna have to wait until the 7th episode for that 🙂

@@Myaccount923 That depends on what specifically caused the accident. We never figure out exactly what happened. And he hadn’t intended to hurt anyone. He feels immense guilt and the trauma of being responsible for their deaths in whatever way caused it led him to being targeted
I don't think some of you understand how trauma works, especially when it has something to do with toxic relationships or abuse. other than max, obviously, going through depression right now and pushing everyone away, it's pretty obvious she doesn't let people (men & romantic love interests in particular) in easily due to abandonment, trust issues and abuse. how can you not understand she's always using sarcasm and pushing people who seem to care about her, because she doesn't want get hurt first or for them to leave her first (it's been talked about in her book as well but it's pretty obvious from the series alone). as of s4 though, it's even more obvious she's shutting everyone, lucas especially, out due to depression, survivor's guilt and PTSD. and lucas is being amazingly mature and supportive. he understands that and is genuinely just concerned about her well being and isn't "mad" at her for breaking up with him.
I think Will's situation is the most heart-breaking for me since I've been and always been in his situation since I was a kid. Being left out, going through the worst shit etc etc. Also, I've had sexuality problems too and have had a crush on a close friend before, making this all hit a little too close to home for me. It's not about reaching out, it's more about wanting someone to want to talk to you. Will always never gets attention unless he is in serious danger. He's always overlooked and has a lot of traumas. He is also in a difficult situation with Angela, and don't blame him for not knowing what to do in that situation. I am also an artist and since I started watching Stranger Things back in 2017, I saw both 12 year old self and up as that character, so I pity him so much.

What’s so sad about the whole skating rink thing is that it was will birthday and everyone forgot and didn’t say anything about it I legit feel so bad for him. It’s so cool how the duffers are so detailed when it comes to their story and how to incorporate it to reality cause DND during the 80s especially the late 80s Wasn’t getting very good rep and it’s because people actually thought That it was a devil worship game or a cult game So a lot of parents went against it when it came to their kids playing that game so I just find it really cool how they kind of incorporated that into this season and Also the duffers said that because the kids are older now they’re going to experiment more with horror instead of sci fi n mild thrillers So that’s why this season is gonna feel more like a slasher Edit: Also with this new season the duffers wanted to change the story of the villain in the sense of wanting it to be A figure that thinks for itself Because if you look at it from season one to now vecna is the first villain that can actually interact with people Because Billy was never a villain he was just kind of a host for the villain of season three so Vecna is technically the first villain that can actually interact with the people he’s harming so it’s scarier because there could be an actual motive this time which is more dangerous

I got two things to say. One, it's not a far stretch that the captain of the basketball team thinks d&d is worshipping the devil because it was a real fear people had in the 80's. Second, I know it looks like Lucas is folding, but he made the right call. He had the entire basketball team getting ready to attack him and question him. He needed to play it cool.

Everyone keeps saying they spoiled Hopper being alive in the trailer but they didn't. One it was confirmed after the last season the American was Hopper. Fans called Murray's phone number that Hopper gave the government. Most shows and movies never give a number that isn't 555 nonsense because people will call the number. The Fandom called it and it is a voice-mail from Murray to Joyce talking about the Hopper situation alluding to him being alive. And it was talked about for months. We knew he was alive like two years ago

Just to clear up any confusion. Will Byers is Gay and in love with Mike. Whereas Noah Schnapp who plays Will is not. Also as to why Will never stands up for El, everytime he stans up for himself something bad happened (Getting kidnapped by the Demogorgon, getting possess by the Mind Flayer), and Will has PTSD, it's a natural response of his to freeze when something bad happened. It's not he doesn't want to help, you can see he wants to help, but he physically can't, it's a trauma response. He can't help it.

Nathan is so funny when El smacked Angela. Cam is right about the attitude towards D&D, especially at this time. They'll do that for decades, especially in the 80s and 90s with the Satanic Panic. They blamed games like D&D and later on, metal music. Even with the Columbine shooting they tried to blame that on Marilyn Manson. Alternative culture has always had a bad reputation though even before the 80s. But especially in Reagan's Midwestern America in a small town like Hawkins, many people in the Bible Belt states and middle America believed in that.
I just need to clarify that D&D isn't a cultist thing, it's actually a really fun game once you get it. The show takes place in the 80s when most media associated the game with the devil. I reccomend you guys try it at least once.

American men and there attitude to school sports (really any sport). Upset that Lucas's friends didn't go see him in the championship game, even though he's never even played before, always just sitting on the bench. Not upset that Lucas, part of the Hellfire Club, decides to quit the game just as it come to the final, leaving the rest of the club short. They even think that Mike and Dustin should also have left the game, just to watch Lucas. Why is basketball considered more worthy than D&D? Lucas made his choice, respect Mike and Dustin's choice. Personally I would have been disappionted if Mike and Dustin had bailed on Eddie and the rest of the Hellfire Club, and I'm kinda disappointed with Lucas. As far as they knew, at the time of making their choices, the basketball game would have been fine without Lucas, but Hellfire had to scramble to find a last minute replacement. It's kinda like bailing last minute on your friends just because your crush is open to a date.

I got two things to say. One, it's not a far stretch that the captain of the basketball team thinks d&d is worshipping the devil because it was a real fear people had in the 80's. Second, I know it looks like Lucas is folding, but he made the right call. He had the entire basketball team getting ready to attack him and question him. He needed to play it cool.

Everyone keeps saying they spoiled Hopper being alive in the trailer but they didn't. One it was confirmed after the last season the American was Hopper. Fans called Murray's phone number that Hopper gave the government. Most shows and movies never give a number that isn't 555 nonsense because people will call the number. The Fandom called it and it is a voice-mail from Murray to Joyce talking about the Hopper situation alluding to him being alive. And it was talked about for months. We knew he was alive like two years ago
And don't forget after season 4, they dropped a teaser of him working in the prison soon after season 4 ended. which officially confirmed him Being alive.

Whereas Noah Schnapp who plays Will is not.
Also as to why Will never stands up for El, everytime he stans up for himself something bad happened (Getting kidnapped by the Demogorgon, getting possess by the Mind Flayer), and Will has PTSD, it's a natural response of his to freeze when something bad happened. It's not he doesn't want to help, you can see he wants to help, but he physically can't, it's a trauma response. He can't help it.

Nathan is so funny when El smacked Angela. Cam is right about the attitude towards D&D, especially at this time. They'll do that for decades, especially in the 80s and 90s with the Satanic Panic. They blamed games like D&D and later on, metal music. Even with the Columbine shooting they tried to blame that on Marilyn Manson. Alternative culture has always had a bad reputation though even before the 80s. But especially in Reagan's Midwestern America in a small town like Hawkins, many people in the Bible Belt states and middle America believed in that.

American men and there attitude to school sports (really any sport). Upset that Lucas's friends didn't go see him in the championship game, even though he's never even played before, always just sitting on the bench. Not upset that Lucas, part of the Hellfire Club, decides to quit the game just as it come to the final, leaving the rest of the club short. They even think that Mike and Dustin should also have left the game, just to watch Lucas. Why is basketball considered more worthy than D&D? Lucas made his choice, respect Mike and Dustin's choice. Personally I would have been disappionted if Mike and Dustin had bailed on Eddie and the rest of the Hellfire Club, and I'm kinda disappointed with Lucas. As far as they knew, at the time of making their choices, the basketball game would have been fine without Lucas, but Hellfire had to scramble to find a last minute replacement. It's kinda like bailing last minute on your friends just because your crush is open to a date.
Their kids never tell them anything. How are they supposed to know something when they’re not being told anything? When they’re being lied to?
